David Grace is in his first season as head coach at Campbell Hall HS in Los Angeles CA. A native of Aberdeen Maryland Coach Grace served 20 years in the Air Force then became a long time college basketball coach in the division one ranks where he coach numerous NBA players. Share us about growing up in Aberdeen Maryland. Discuss his interest in the game of basketball and serving in the Air Force including his experience in the Operation Desert Storm. Started his coaching journey with Boo Williams AAU program in Virginia. Coach the Arizona and Compton Magic AAU program. He became the Freshman basketball coach at Trevor Browne HS. In 2004 became the head coach at South Mountain for two seasons.
In 2006 he accepted the assistant coaching job at Sacramento State for one season. In 2007, he moved on the University of San Francisco as an assistant coach. In 2008 he became an assistant at Oregon State under Craig Robinson the older brother of U.S. First Lady Michelle Obama, and served there through the 2012-13 season. In 2013 he moved on to be an assistant coach at UCLA. After spending five seasons at Westwood you coach at Cal for one season under Viking Jones. Then he became the associate head coach at Vanderbilt. In 2022 became the head coach at Centennial HS in Peoria Arizona for one season before his current role at Campbell Hall.
