So about why ayanokoji revealed himself by running in full strength is because..... Ayanokoji wanted Ryuen to think that Hirata is actually the mastermind and Hirata is using ayanokoji to run so as Ryuen will think ayanokoji as mastermind but Ryuen also knows that mastermind won't reveal himself this way so he wasn't sure whether ayanokoji is the mastermind or a pawn used by someone else like Hirata.........
To add ayanokoji asked Hirata to stay in class when Ryuen was confronting Koenji in season 2 so that Ryuen will suspect Hirata as he was the only one wasn't there.........

You know it's really funny how much cut content and changes that has happened in the anime adaptation, and for some reason it's still popular and hasn't flopped like rising of the shield hero and the promised neverland s2, that's a huge achievement in my opinion, it goes to show how truly peak the light novels are😂😂
You do make a good point, realistically this anime should have failed and lost its hype like rising of the shield hero, seven deadly sins and the promised neverland, but for some reason it's getting more and more popular, as a light novel reader, I don't know if i should be happy or sad, because for one, I absolutely hate the anime adaptation, and the other is that I don't want any COTE SLANDER lol
