its funny how this was filmed in 1988 and in a couple of months its about to be 2022 and their still gas station cameras and even home cameras with much much worse quality. I thought it'd be shittier for being filmed back in 1988
This was actually UP's line thru Fullerton into Anaheim; there was even a UP passenger station on this line at Fullerton that was eventually moved across the ATSF tracks and later became a Spaghetti Factory restaurant.
That line that the UP local went SB on leads all the way down to San Diego Miramar so it still exsists
That cab car is quiet 5:16
at 4 min was a very common sound I don't hear anymore. I wonder if that muffler would work on any car or only a boxer 4 lol
fullertons trains station looked totally different back in those day.
Yes it did. It was still "quaint" back then.
@@vidwilzvids9587 you ain't lying! I still prefer the Old School Fullerton train station, different times and a different type of railroading!
That UP thru Fullerton heading to Anaheim is a rare catch...
I have seen NS, Ferro Mexico engines, and other rentals before. Fun to watch.
This was sometimes called "pool power"or"horsepower by the hour".
it always feels so weird to me when i watch videos filmed before i was even born

Now it's almost 2025
impressive footage
Why was UP on this line?

UP is allowed to loan BNSF engines as needed. That's it.
Nice clip of the 891 train
Who was with you at 8:25?
What is the line at 9:11? When was it demolished? (That was at Fullerton right?)
If you already answered, just tell me how far down to scroll!
Nice catch!
Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for the comments.
Where is the first location
Fullerton Junction. I think it was also known as Balcam.
Olive Sub between Atwood & Olive Jct (CP Maple now).
My bad. The bridge is located at Orange Olive Rd and East Riverdale Ave. over the Santa Ana River.
Awesome!
I always liked the ex-Metroliner cab cars.
I know right? They're awesome!

What are those cars on 2:09
Open tri-level auto racks.
Caboose sighting!
Thanks for the comments.
