Bangkok's Hidden Bangkok Canal Boat Tour Biggest Buddha in Bangkok

- The Roaming Cook invited us to join a Hidden Bangkok Tours Canal Boat Tour towards the Big Buddha statue at Wat Paknam. Along the way, we passed the Artists House.
The statue is 69 meters (229 ft) tal and with that its the highest statue in Bangkok. Hidden Bangkok Tours are located at the Baan Plern Dee Restaurant.

I feel so bad, I grew up in Thonburi, lived there for many years. When I was a kid I only knew long tail boat " reau hang yau" was like taxi, fast and loud and sometimes annoying, but now there's boat tour which is so excellent idea to see lives on the canals. I don't live in Thonburi anymore but I promise myself to take a boat trip around there before I am too old to travel!!!

I love your videos. Im visiting thialand soon. Staying at the Luang Prasit canal home. Whats that area called? You know anything about that area?
The temple where there is a big buddha image is very famous among buddhists because of a great teacher luang pho Soad. He passed away for more than 60 years. His statue was made of real gold in 1 or 1 and a half real side. I think this golden statue is in the white jedi behind the big buddha image.

That was a cool ride through the khlongs of Thonburi. Glad you never made it to the river or you would have been in trouble showing my place. Nice to be on a bigger boat and not motoring up at a million decibels on the normal river boats too

With the Tuk Tuk you have to ask the price. I pay the same as the local, because I know how much it should be. The taxi I never negotiate, it has a meter.
