Amazing work as usual, thank you. The concepts and symbolism of the center and polarity in traditional martial arts and their practice as a way to "balance" and to "master" oneself reminds me a lot of the chinese art of Tai Chi, which is totally based on Taoism and it's concepts of Ying & Yang, and of harmony with the Tao.
Very good video. I'm a iaido, kendo and karate practitioner, and also an huge admirer of René Guénon's works. To me, the traditional japanese martial arts are a path at the same time martial and spiritual. They are in general influenced by Taoism and Zen Buddhism. Greetings from Brazil!
Thank you! I have just found your channel today in seek of guidance through Genon's work. I opened this video too and was mind-blowned by the synchronicity - Today is the day I started exercising with a mace, and you are talking about a figure of sacred warrior and centre and the MACE!
When I was in the Navy I was sent to a very short course in stability and buoyancy. They talked about righting moments and why ships capsize. It was then and still is mostly over my head, but I'm struck by the symbolism with respect to the errors of modernity. Thank you for the video.
salam sir. nice video! i want to ask some question regarding traditional thinking. Guenon said that ancient sciences is based on fundamental principles in contrast with the modern sciences which is divorced from it. What is this principles being said and how do we found this principles/reason from it? this may also related with your suggestion in your video where you said that we need to train traditionally (with fundamental principles) instead of training with modern mentality.
These sacred fundamental principles are rooted in revelation and tradition; their application demonstrates itself within the lives and writings of the various religions' wisest and most saintly adherents.
Salams Prof! Good to have you back. A bit surprised that you dont have a keris! Should get you one if you ever visit Malaysia again. There are still traditional blacksmiths here that still make fine pieces. I would imagine you would really appreciate the beauty.
Another brilliant video! Thank you!

Indeed, there are no coincidences.
Greetings and welcome back . I am looking forward to your commentary on Evola's the metaphysics of war. Regards
Will not be able to get to it until I finish my current Guenon series, i.e. Dec. 2024 or Jan. 2025. So, stay tuned, Thanks for watching.
This subject is very good for developing masculine energy in a balanced and spiritual way!
Thank you for watching.
