    I can absolutely understand where you’re coming from. Last year, board games became something that has captivated me. For over 35, I’ve been a video gamer. I still play video games and enjoy them very much. Board games, however, has become one of my favorite things to do/play.
    A few years ago, I would’ve scoffed at myself. Today, I’m glad that I gave board games a chance. Such an amazing hobby with so many great experiences to be had.

    Just bought the core game and played the first two chapters with 1 3 & 4 players ( 2,3 & 4 heroes). Now moving to chapter 4 with 3 heroes. Utterly captivated. We have found that it is important to read the description of each Search, Threat and even Person token to avoid defeat. We have narrowly avoided defeat on several chapters. Our most successful group (so far).is an unexpected combo of Bilbo Beravor and Legolas. Bilbo and Beravor can deal decent damage you just need to be sure that Bilbo can hide and Beravor can Stun to avoid those counter attacks!

    The health threat we faced, ended up being as fantasy generated as it would have been in middle earth. Sauron forces live in the real world too. We need to find a good fellowship to stand against that tyranny. Got my game and hoping to enjoy it as you have shown you do. Great review!

    Incredible review… I wasn’t a fan of MOM2 - mostly because of the dificulty level and the randomness. I never understood what went wrong when I failed, and I didn’t actually ever completed one single scenario - haha. Found out after I had painted all of the figures - doh! How does this compare to this? I’m a huge fan of Gloomhaven because of the lack of randomness in comparison.. cheers!

    • @saveyourgame5578
      @saveyourgame5578  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you! Unfortunately I’ve never played MOM2 so I’m not quite sure how similar they are. I will say though that there are different difficulty levels you can choose from. Adventure Mode is a great way to experience JiME without a ton of pressure. I’ve still failed some scenarios so I wouldn’t say it’s too easy.
      Gloomhaven is great! I’ve played about half of a campaign solo and I have Jaws of the Lion as well. I was thinking about filming a playthrough of that with a buddy of mine.

      @@TheMedianGam3r Here's hoping. I will say it makes sense for them to do it considering they have the licensing and are now bringing back the LCG, which is fantastic. However, they have moved their big minis over to Atomic Mass, which is what might prevent FFG from producing much in the way of miniatures. With the downsizing of FFG, hopefully producing 1-3 minis won't be a big deal.

    i got a question... Gimli AXE --- 1 success - 1 hit / 2 success - xx hit.
    What if i have 3 successes; do i get to use BOTH attacks on gimli axe ??

    • @saveyourgame5578
      @saveyourgame5578  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes! Absolutely. Although if you had four you wouldn’t be able to spend it. You can only use each success on a card once.

      This was a grey area for me too. Also didn't know that the threat meter each turn is affected by how many unexplored areas and terrain threats are on the board.. the more you have the more threat you gain..

    Such a shame that it's app driven. Surely the whole point of board games is to escape computer screens once in a while. I would've bough this.

    • @saveyourgame5578
      @saveyourgame5578  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I understand that for sure. It’s not for
      everyone. Have you tried the Fallout board game? It’s very similar but uses a deck of cards for most of what the app does in JiME.
