    This is part 2 of the twist blocks series and in this one, we're showcasing a double storey house. The client wanted 4 separate units. 1700 blocks were used and were stacked in 5 days. We had a lengthy discussion with Sam, and hopefully, you'll something new like I did. Enjoy!

    Wonderful project and a most needed basic living with reasonable cost housing. Well done. Of concern, maybe it was due to budget: 1) there are many gaps at the windows and doors, thus bugs could enter premises and water when raining; 2) where is the upper ceiling lighting, yes there are windows but should be switch light inside; 3) where does the water drain at the kitchenette sinks; don't see a flow going outside for drainage; 4) there are no shower amenities in the flat; 5) as there is no insulation, won't it get very hot or very cold depending on weather? Thank you for any responses.

      @samsonontweka5005 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      I appreciate your feedback and would like to address your concerns:
      1. Gaps at the Windows and Doors: We plan to add thin moulding as a seal around the windows and doors to prevent bugs and water from entering the premises.
      2. 2, 3, 4, & 5. This unit is a prototype designed to give our client a tangible concept. We haven't included the actual water and electrical systems yet. However, these will be part of the final design. You’ll be able to see the plumbing and electrical systems in detail in the third video that Nick will be posting soon. This video will also address other amenities, such as shower facilities and insulation.

    • @samsonontweka5005
      @samsonontweka5005 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      We don't have instances of water seepage from upper floor remember we cured the slab for a week and half (no water seepage)
      As for sound transmission, concrete slabs typically work very well in reducing noise. Additionally, the hollow Twistblocks we use contain trapped air, which acts as a vacuum to further reduce the intensity of sound.

    • @samsonontweka5005
      @samsonontweka5005 หลายเดือนก่อน

      1. We usually do a good finish afterwards to ensure roaches don't reside.
      2. Blocks are painted on site before laying them, clients can opt to do different coloured as they want.
      3. Costings for foundation really depend on the type of soil. It might carry with black cotton soil.
      4. You can do a wall paper on the walls
