  • Hello everyone!
In this video we go ahead and replace a faulty EVAP Purge Solenoid and some crusty old hoses on our 1999 Volvo S70 2.4 naturally aspirated!

Hi SwedeSourceCanada, Is your OBD reader a BlueDriver brand? I thought it best to use a scanner designed for Volvos(??!!).
Also, I have an XC70, 2004. It looks a bit more involved to get to the Purge Valve. Thanks for the tips, I will try it . .

Hello! Yes it is, it’s a decent scanner and gets the job done for most simple things. I got it a long time ago and I definitely do want to upgrade! What do you suggest? I’d love to get myself a VIDA someday too!

You can call them EVAP vacuum hoses, but you can go online and pick up any automotive hosing made of silicone or NBR rubber and it comes in a roll and you cut to size. Just search up the correct inner diameter which I mentioned in the video!
