Thank you for everything you do Lisa 🙏 I’m a self taught piano player and I’ve come along way just by watching Pianote on TH-cam over and over again and figuring everything out in my own way. I’m learning something new even if I’ve watched the video once before! Love Pianote ❤️
Has over 533,000 subscribers and videos have 100's of thousands of views...and yet I feel like I'm the only one she's talking to! I thank the God of Heaven and Earth that I found this channel! I'm a musician and have played guitar for years but have only recently learned music theory and I'm enjoying the journey! I'm starting to learn how to produce my own music through Logic ProX and am learning piano for production and songwriting. Out all the teachers I've watched on TH-cam your channel is par excellence! Each lesson is well done, clear, concise and engages the learner aesthetically in every detail of your lessons! I now know that piano will be a part of my shows in the future! Thanks for all the love in these vids! God Bless everyone at Pianote the paragon of youtube music lessons! Thanks Lisa the G.O.A.T.
Awesome At The Piano = Awesomeness that rivals (and compliments and supports) the beauty of music in my life..... something that lifts me to the stars!!! (I find life's purpose there.)
If my childhood piano teacher was like you I’d have stuck with it! Because of you I’m picking it back up, thank you for your uplifting, positive, inspirational, presence. You have no idea how one of a kind you are! 🌻
Thank you! I just bought a second hand electric piano so this vid is EXACTLY what I needed. I've got a ton of motivation at the moment, even the C scale is exciting to me, so practicing technique isn't boring for me.
Because of your videos, which I consider to be the most enjoyable on TH-cam, I am getting my piano tuned and exploring your lessons. Diatonic chords, triads, arpeggios, scales are so much more useful and enjoyable than just playing the “right” notes at the “right” time. Kudos and thank you.
This is my favourite channel because of this channel I improved a lot in piano. After, watching this channel's vedio I feel like piano theories are really easy. A big thanks to liza😊😊😊
Arpeggios with chord progression turns out to be very common in classical music as well, not just pop songs. e.g. Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata 3rd Movement Presto Agitato starts with a C# minor arpeggio, followed by even more arpeggios.
I don't know who's familiar with it but what we learned in the first semester for scales are Octaves, 3rds, 10ths, 6ths, 2 over 3, and 3 over 2, followed by arpeggios these are great ways to practice scales It really ensures that you know the scales and a big issue many have with scales is fingering so make sure you watch the fingering, in fact try to go at least 2 octaves to help ensure that your fingering is okay.
Getting everything set up to learning to play piano, I do have a little bit of a music background due to having had learned to play the Organ back in my younger years. I'm determined to get my left hand to coordinate with my right, it's just hard to make it move, lol. Thank you for these great lessons as well as all the great ideas.
Your content is so wonderful! I truly enjoy playing your exercises🥰 I’ve only been playing for 2 weeks and I’m already playing all the major scales with two hands thanks to your videos and practice!
Upbeat. Ear training and rhythm for me are more important. A level of commitment is essential. Starting in F is tricky for newbies. I do like your enthusiasm. You've got too little about too much, but I appreciate you. ♪♫♪♪
I joined Pianote and absolutely love the piano technique and faster fingers pack. I can practise for hours without getting bored of basic scales and triads bc I can feel my fingers getting faster and more familiar with the key I'm practicing (which REALLY helps with a new piece or song)
Awesome lesson! Love the way you explain things using your hand and the way you talk in an excited way and the come down to a whisper at the end of your sentence, it like a beautiful classical piece play on the piano.I know i always say the same thing, its just because you keep giving good well explained lessons. So thanks again Lisa!
Recently I’ve noticed that my technique practice has gone on autopilot ... and too much time repeating stuff that has already been learned to the exclusion of working on repertoire. Thanks for the tips on mixing it up and sticking with one scale for a while!
Hi Lisa ,thanks so much for this ,I tryd the d minor in the f major scale , awsome ,never thought b4 to miss the 6th minor in the relative major ..omg this has opend up so many ides 4 me ..made a little tune and I tryd the same idea with chords too ,you are an amazing teacher, thank you
The other day, I wondered to myself if my self-taught RH finger pattern for F looked like what I was supposed to be doing, based on the published guidance. It looks like you do the same pivot movement going down from C to B flat that I have been doing...so I feel a little bit better about it.
Hi Lisa, I thought this was awesome!!Thank you so much. You have help me out so much. Still need work on my smoothness on the keys and rhythm as I play. Tommy
Such great Information You're so right technique can be boring but it can also be fun the tools that we use for creativity Passion and willingness to learn. The basic Structure so important thank you so much for giving us some great ideas to keep learning fun and playful
I'm a beginner learning from your videos..I feel it'd be better if the notes appear while you play.. like when you played f major on your right hand you've mentioned the notes so it was easy to grasp,in that way we can learn soon I believe
Hi Pianote! I really learn a lot from ur vids. This is a small request can u do a vid about - how to write down letter notes in a book effectively and neatly bcoz I find it really hard to get through the notes.

Is it important to use the sustain pedal(in my case for a keyboard) in the beginning, ok can you focus on it when you are more advanced?
Took me ages to get used to the pedal but once you get used to it you can't live without it.😀😀
It's not essential at the beginner, and it can sometimes be a distraction. But it is worth practicing because it's amazing!
Is it normal that i feel i cannot play piano without the pedals?😣 tried the keyboard it felt like somebody is strangling you
Totally normal haha!
