260 year old ash felling.

This 260 year old ash tree and it's 240 year old brethren were both climbed, to fix a pulling line anchor point.
both trees were felled with step cuts.
The tractor then pulls the tree over slowly and safely. Another victim of Ash Dieback disease.💀
This tree was void of heartwood, it was in such a state of fungal decay.

Hi mate, I’m thinking about repointing my 1930s property but don’t no if it’s best to use lime or cement. Is it possible to you can give me some advice please

I would always advise to use a lime based mortar where possible. It is more time consuming and requires a bit more care and attention than a cementitious mortar but the benefits for the property and substrate are profound.
