Absolutely, Tunisia is generally safe for tourists, especially in popular tourist areas like the city center of Hammamet, the Medina, and Yasmine Hammamet. There are specialized law enforcement units patrolling these areas, ensuring a secure atmosphere. It's advisable to stick to well-traveled locations and avoid venturing alone into less touristy rural areas or certain neighborhoods. Consider joining guided excursions organized by your hotel or reputable agencies for an added layer of safety. Enjoy your family vacation in Tunisia, and rest assured that with reasonable precautions, it can be a wonderful experience.
