It’s great to see you back , Tony! What a gorgeous video! One of the most beautiful places in the world in my opinion. Thanks for sharing this ride with us! 🤘🏽
@@TheOutsiderMTBQuestion, my fork trail app says no e-bikes on manzanita trail. Does anyone give you a hard time? I just bought an e-bike to ride up there not sure what other riders may say to me.
Glad to see you outside and cruising ! Been thru all you’ve been dealing with . Welcome to the club ! LOL!! 73 y/o and been retired 8 years , 5 years on my turbo levo. There is magic at the end of the rainbow!! Enjoy and hang tough ! 😎
I've always wanted to ride this place, I've hiked it and it is pretty awesome trail. We have been to Morro bay so many times with my wife and she tells me I should bring my bike next time. Now, that I have seen it I have no excuse! Thank you for the guided tour! Top Tip, if you stop to check out some of those rocks you can see sea shell fossils in there sometimes (we did this with my kid while hiking it)
You've been missed man! I'm glad that you are getting your health in order, and that you're back. Also, I agree that not every ride has to be something gnarly.
Glad to see you back on. Any recommendation for resorts in Park City. We have class 1 bike or regular bikes. I would prefer to ride the e-bikes, but not sure if they are allowed.
Good luck on your home acquisition. I am a Southern California resident, have been all my life. This place is unmatched in weather and off roading possibilities. Financially and the political climate(which go hand in hand) can easily out weight the positives however. Welcome back.
Hey Tony, we might be in the Montana de Oro Morro bay area soon. Any tips for where in the area we might find the best choices for accomodation? The North Shore + Whistler is into the deep wet of Fall ..... need some sunny open air rides + hikes. Appreciate any advice
Nice - I usually stay in Morro Bay. Just check on some good rates there depending on your budget. Pretty cool small town ocean vibe there right on the water.
@TheOutsiderMTB thanks for that. Yeah we've been there once before and loved it. It's very similar to the small kind of Oceanside town we live in really hope we can make it there soon
Hey Tony! Years back, I did a ride somewhere near the Santa Monica mountains with my bro (RIP) and it was epic. The trail would probably be rated a blue or green these days, but it was up high with amazing ocean views, and IIRC, it was along the PCH. Any recommendations for something like this in SoCal? Would love to take my boys for a sweet ocean-view ride now that they're old enough. TIA for any ideas

So hard to beat MDO! Was a blast getting out on a ride with you again!
Right on Mark!
Ocean views and fast descents never disappoint!

I like staying right at Deer Valley. You have access to the bike park or the local trails close by.👍

Thanks Lee!
Manzanita is fun and easy to do laps on!

Some good views in Laguna for sure.
Heads up. A lot of cars have been getting smashed into at MDO lately
👍
Nice ride! What was the total miles? My in-laws live in Santa Maria, so I definitely want to ride this trail.
Nice - about 13 miles. 👍
i seem to always get poison oak on that trail. probably only non-locals have this problem
I did too!
@@TheOutsiderMTB 😂 i try so hard too
CCCMB just brushed East Boundary on Friday, too.
Sorry to derail but how is the CX-50 treating you? It's high on my next vehicle list.
It’s been great! Solid for traveling or just doing errands around town. Pip loves it too. 🤗
