Maxx C, Ash Blossom, Called By... Or like, Iconic anime cards? If so, there are PLENTY. I will never be satisfied until I get to see a deck that emulates those cards that gave the guy who fought Joey armor during the Darts arc.
Sky neos is actually fusion between Neos and stratos.Stance similar to stratos and propeller gave it away. There is no connection to air neos like its said. It is not green air neos LOL. Its a perfect name for a fusion of this two monsters, because stratosphere is a part of our blue sky.
I think it's just that someone forgot to secure IP rights to Air Neos prior to the anime appearance due to it not appearing in season 2 (so for season 3 they would have assumed "oh, surely we already have Air Neos, I have paperwork for like a dozen Crystal Beast cards and a crapload of new characters to deal with anyway") and for one reason or another that meant that Air Neos' rights are held by TV Tokyo. This would explain the appearance in Legacy of the Duelist. Konami likely could easily get access to the design for appearances in games and cards since they're on good terms with the legal holders of the design, but it's enough of a headache that they don't really feel like doing it unless there's some compelling reason. To use a comparison, Nanana is a card that also has never received a reprint or an appearance in any video games or anything. It's more explicit as a promo card that uses a TV Tokyo design, though also being a much worse card than Air Neos and not actually important in any meaningful way as well as obviously being a promo card, Nanana isn't really a 1:1.
I as a hero player and collector do appreciate everyone coming together and doing this for a card no one outside the hero players actually want outside of the fact its a card that hasn't had a reprint and all that lol so thank you everyone that did that forum for it
Thats funny how the new neos fusions clearly resemble the old ones (fins on water neos, scarab horn on fire neos) yet air neos is suspiciously different
Another odd thing is that Air Neos technically appeared in Duel Links. In the Season 3 duelist chronicles of GX, when you recreate the duel between Jesse and Jaden, Jaden says he will force Jesse to use his ultimate monster so he attacks with AIR NEOS and the card is shown for a moment, but the card was never made available for the players so to know he was there you need to watch videos of people who recorded the event
I personally think there was some disagreement or issue with the artist. Like you said some sort of dispute behind the scenes. At first I thought maybe there was a court case or settlement, but sometimes it could just be office politics where someone in the company doesn't like the artist for whatever particular reason and thus all of their works are "blacklisted" now. It's hard to say though. Even the cards drawn by Kazuki Takahashi himself aren't in Master Duel.
Also, I'm not really the activist type but there should probably be a way to pressure Konami to be more transparent about artists the way WotC are with MtG and Pokémon art.

Assuming that it is some kind of legal issue, then the only thing I can think of is that they don't actually have the rights to Air Neos as a whole. This seems like an unlikely fuck up but if it seems to have only ever happened to this one card out of tens of thousands.
They DID change the name in Rush Duel card into Sky Neos ... Why the airline thing is bs ? ... It's literally the more logical explanation than the one mentioned in the video ... The pose didn't resembles anything, and the design too ...
These new neos cards has its colors based on its attribute. Its a specific contact fusion into a omni hero neos. Thats why no flare and aqua neos. Gameplay pov its pretty good. Fusion and aesthestic wise, they do not look like these monsters fused
The Rush variants give off vibes of some kind of early era sentai or something. The so called fusion just adds a few accessories and color accents to the base hero, instead of looking like a full on fusion. :(
Yeah, the original Fusions were more like fusions, almost as if Neos was mutating into the Neo-Spacians, meanwhile the Rush versions feel like he’s getting a power up based on them. I honestly like both in their respective games.
Honestly I wish if it is a problem with that plane, they would rename the monster as Sky Neos instead since that name works just as well. I love the original design and wished it had a modern reprint.
They likely would have changed it if it were that simple. I think the airline theory is nonsense that fans are reaching for after someone Googled “Air Neos” and found the airline, trying to make a connection. Over 10,000 card names and one that sounds like an airline in a different country is suddenly a problem? Sounds like cap and cope to me.
We must continue to talk about him, Konami is trying to commit revisionist history! They're trying to replace air neos in the younger kids game so the new generation never know he existed! Lol
The reason why air Neos was never reprinted is likely not it's fault, but elemental hero Neos itself instead. the hero archetype was always an archetype of plagiarized characters, Neos himself is a copy of Ultraman, he looks near identical, and he even shares the name with one (Ultraman neos). and if we check the release of Neos and air Neos specifically, in just the next 2 or 3 years Japan had 2 Ultraman movies, where the designs are severely similar to Neos, so there was likely an interest conflict between the Ultraman franchise, and yugioh. Ultraman is a franchise that is very popular in Japan, but not in the world, so it cannot afford to compete with an international franchise like yugioh in the GX era with a protagonists ace monster, when it's whole revenue comes from just Japan, so they probably clashed with Konami, and of course Konami cannot stop printing the staple of an archetype and the ace monster of GX, so they used elemental hero air Neos as a scapegoat, he is the only one of neos's fusions who keeps the Ultraman colors afterall, white and red, and it was very close to the release of those Ultraman movies, so despite not being identical to ultraman like base neos, it was still sufficient to avoid a lawsuit. It's not the first time companies defend they're mascottes by hiding another character, it happened once with porygon in Pokemon to defend Pikachu, and that's also why we have no official information.
The only card that i know Air Neos is showed is in a magic card in wich 6 monsters battle in different cities. In one side there is Blue eyes white dragon, Dark Magician and Gearfried, in the other side Ojama King, the fusion train roid and Air Neos.
It is like the most bizarre thing with Air Neos and we still haven't been told what is the winning card. Seeing that everyone- THE MAJORITY want to see Air Neos... I would be shocked if Konami fakes out and uses another card instead. That would annoyed me. Guess we'll find that out soon.

The weird thing is those wings in the back of Instant Contact kinda have to be Air Neos's due to every other fusions position and the way they are angled, but they are now more WHITE! than before. Which sorta hints its been redesigned already, likely in advance of knowing we'd vote for it in some future competition at the time they did the art or eventual Neos focused product if we don't. Though the design while far more likely issue than the airline stuff doesn't feel right, it being last to show up in anime means it probably has different rights signing between artist, Konami and tv Tokyo (a grouping that in order to keep good relations wouldn't cause a public fight) separate from rest means the issue lies likely there but a redesign seems unlikely to fix it especially if that design doesn't require episodes being taken down and Legacy of the Duelist didn't cause any noticeable issue or get the company hired for it hurt. Feels to me like its just some issue with shared ownership that no one in the companies originally cared enough about to fix (so Legacy of the Duelist team didn't get in trouble cause no-one cared enough to sanction over some niche thing not being told to outside company), but after it became a meme I see them likely finally reaching an agreement so it can be reprinted and bring them a lot in as a chase card with new alt art done purely to mess with us so its still talked about, because as long as the meme lives on in some way it keeps it as something talked about. Still fun to see Rush giving the left out section of the HERO pile some love right now even if it prevents us from seeing Air Neos for a while. Mega CapitalG he has a TH-cam video about this. I’m about the Italian airline Neos that’s who the TH-camr explained I was talking about
unconfirmed
the very last frame of the video has the background forming a swastika lmao. clearly unintended but kinda amusing I suppose
konami had a call in tribunal from air neos italian flight company, for using air neos name and the red bird, symbol of the italian company! we dont get air neos for copyright issues...!!!!
pin this commment bc is the truth, other things i read in this section are only ideas, not the reality
This isn’t true either unless you provide a source.
i think it's about an Airline that have the same name of the monster.
And yet Konami has changed card names for less.
That one’s also a popular speculation, but honestly has basically no ground, so I didn’t mention it.
I heard it has something to do with an airline known as neos air, who do happens to have a red bird as their mascot. So I thinks it’s a dispute thing.
What with yugitubers always dropping the e sound in the the middle of archetype?
isn't that how its pronounced?
there's no existing spelling of "arch" that has an e at the end as far as I'm aware
Because that’s how you pronounce it. It’s not pronounced like arch. Ch makes a K sound in this instance like Chloe.
Just. Rename. It. What. The. FKN. SHT.
