Thanks for the video. I missed the part of the install where you hold a button to flash the software. This video helped me get my White Water Color DMD up and running

Thanks for commenting and enjoy the upgrade! I wish I had room for a second game. I'd go for Attack From Mars.

    Good job!
    Definitely preferable as an LED.

Thank you! I wish I could have afforded to buy both an LED and LCD for a side-by-side comparison.

Very cool. Also good you mentioned keeping the original dmd. Sometimes a table is worth more, if it has the original factory components intact, upon selling. :)

Thanks for commenting! I also kept all of the original incandescent lamps. It surprising how many of them there were.

You play a Theremin! Wow. I've always been interested in them but never had the courage to get one. When grandchildren started popping up I almost got one with the excuse it would be educational for them to see.
I notice you play a solid state unit. Have you ever played on an old tube instrument? I remember reading that they sound and play different and wondered if that was true. I'll be sure to check out your videos. Who knows... you might be the inspiration that finally tempts me into purchasing one.

@@wayneschmidt490 Yes. Tube theremins are very different from solid state theremins, in that they have a warmer, smother tone. However, they have fewer octaves, and are much more sensitive to changes in temperature, and humidity. You have to constantly adjust them. Look for vids of Clara Rockmore playing one, and you'll see her constantly reaching down to the controls. I did get an opportunity to play a modern replica tube theremin, by Mark Kepinger, whilst attending a theremin workshop / symposium, back in 08. A very different experience, indeed. You really should try one. If you find it's not quite your cuppa, just return it to the seller, or flip it on ebay. :)

@@ThomasGrillo I bought one! This was something I'd wanted to try for many years and decided I might as well indulge myself while I still had time. (Yep, I'm that old.) I hope you won't be disappointed, but I decided on a very cheap, entry-level device: a Burns B3 for $250 from Amazon. I can always upgrade if the interest holds. I am realistic in that I am not expecting the tonal quality of better instruments, particularly since I'll be using an inexpensive amplifier with it.
Thank you for giving me a new interest to explore!

@@wayneschmidt490 Based on the price, I'm guessing you got the Burns B3 Deluxe? I have that one. By the way, for best tone quality, set your amp so the highs are only at 20, to 25%, mids are at half, and base to 75%. Volume should be around 3, or 4, or as desired. I know Burns, personally. He'll get you taken care of, if you have any issues. His stuff's not made in China. He makes each unity by hand. I know, because I visited his production facility once. Do let me know if i can be of any help, setting up, and getting started. :)

@@Swento Great! I got my pinball game mainly for the grandchildren. They grew up loving to play it, but by the time they got into high school had gotten so used to it that they lost interest. After installing the new DMD display and converting the main body to all LED lighting, it changed the game so much it renewed their interest. Now they play it every time they come over, so I count it as a good investment. Are you also changing over to LEDs ion the playfield?
