Love my Vienna Plus!! I think I paid about $300 for it 12 years ago and it has made several cappuccinos a day without a glitch. Thanks for your helpful videos.
What part of the machine should you be cleaning weekly? Currently, I am dumping the little circle pods created each day and rinsing out the little thing they fall into, every few days I will pull the tray out of the bottom and wash it out. I'm curious about the thing that Gale pulls out at the 1:56 mark. Does that come into pieces that need to be cleaned, or can I spray it off with the hose nozzle on my sink without having to further take it apart? I looked to see if you all posted a video, but couldn't find one.
There's a small opening under the water wand, where it connects to the brewer assembly. It is situated in the back wall of the brewer unit cavity. The cut in the wall where the water wand sits drains through that minute opening into the tray below. The opening itself is at the bottom and is as small as a micro USB opening. Clean it out and unplug it, the leak through the bottom will stop.
Have this one at the office. Runs about 30-40 cups per day with the most being a 15 cup run in the morning. Worked very well with regular descaling however after about 14 months of continuous use it has started leaking through the floor of the machine, nothing to do with the drip/overflow tray.
HI couple of questions, 1. how do you adjust dosage on the vienna superautomatica that doesnt have a dosage knob. 2) should a espresso from this machine should also take 20-30 sec to pull, i have grind set to 0 and cant make it go slower.
I'm thinking about getting a low end Super Auto for my office. However i use a Rancilio Silvia at home. Will the latte's made with this machine in particular for example, taste awful by comparison? Or will it be pretty close to what McDonald's serves? (I will admit to resorting to them when in dire need.)
They'll be serviceable and likely a step up from McDonald's....the milk quality won't be quite as good as you get from either preparation, however, but it will still taste good :) - Kat
To be honest, I still don't know the exact reason. My best guess is that it has something to do with water and its properties, because screeching happens only when water starts coming through the system. The machine still works nicely though, so the screeching is more of an annoyance, rather than a serious issue, in my opinion.
Yay! The exact machine I have. It's been making scheechy noises lately, even though it seems to be well greased. Oh well, one day I'll find the reason... or a new machine :)

Did you ever figure out what the screeching noise was? Ours has been making one. We sent it to Seattle Coffee Gear for repair but it still screeches.
What do you guys like your dose and grind setting on?

Whats a good cleaner for this machine? Are the rinza, cafiza, amd grindz good?
Could be gasket wear & tear - Kat

Hmmmmmm ..... I'm not sure what that could mean, honestly. - Kat
