@JD_Kreeper that part made me so annoyed lol he was pretty fine until that point tbh. The descriptions of things didnt really need the references but the story was really good. The part where they got out and started talking about scrapping was just really mood breaking.
This is by far one of the funniest narrators I've seen. Mf ignored every rule he was told that strictly advised him not to open the doors, just for the sake of some cats being held by unknown entities in a mansion that he was told to avoid. Accompanied by a group of children. Then he casually watched the police battle wire snakes driving a school bus and a fucking marauder like it was just another slow tuesday. He's way too fit for this job.

I thought that was a poor choice for the writer. People driving children through dangerous hellscapes don’t usually further endanger the kids to steal private property from spooky mansions with deadly intent toward anyone simply driving by. It’s wrong on so many levels and a strange thing for the character to do unless they needed the wire to defeat a monster.

The cats were likely some sort of supernatural entity, or many supernatural entities, whatever the Red Maw Auction company is or whatever it was called sells and auctions is likely supernatural in nature, as the wires prove. I was hoping that there would be a later date in which it detailed a man reading a newspaper or a news article online about wild cats ravaging or growing large and so and so or just being overly aggressive and strong.

These kind of "follow these esoteric rules or risk supernatural consequences" stories are really cool. This is a horror genre I didn't know I wanted. It has the vibes of dealing with Fae creatures, where you have to be very careful about what you do or you could end up lost forever or something

I actually made George an idiot on purpose.
He is based off of me. This could be related to me being autistic, but I commonly do things I wasn't supposed to do that weren't specifically on the rules. For example, when I was in second grade, I was told not to throw the toys. So I built a catapult to launch wooden blocks across the room. I then argued with the teacher how I wasn't throwing things, and was instead catapulting them, and nowhere on the rules does it not say I could launch things with a catapult.

I love this so much. It starts out so typically for a rules story, but subverts expectations in one of the most exciting and fun ways I’ve heard in a creepypasta in a long time.

Two years later and no one has come up with a better rules story. This thing is creeping into legend.
It feels weird hearing you narrate my own story. As I listen to this, I not only imagine what's going on, but I also think of my experience writing this, I remember what inspired certain parts of the story, and how I discovered your channel when you first contacted me about my story etc.
That or I write so much more differently than other authors you featured that it makes me feel different.

@@Partyhatmassacre I agree, I think it takes away from the creepiness because they try to add humour. I suppose it shows how the kids are so used to the trip, but it feels like an attempt at comedy. So is comparing the monster to herobrine or Stickmen
I came back to listen to this story and I surprisingly remembered how it ended. It still amazes me how it ended and I still wish for a continuation of this story. What I mean is like, how would it be at the school, the bus yard, living on that road, and whatever other creepy places that have rules from this one story. The writer has an extremely creative mind and wish so much they would expand on it.
I tried that but I just didn't like the story itself. I considered rewriting it altogether but eventually I just decided to move on.
These rules really be like:
1. If someone farts run as fast as you possibly can
"I forgot to thank the bus driver, I will never see the light of day again..."
" my wife wouldn't let me smash, i realized i lived alone"
"I forgot to put pickles on Bubble Bass's order. Now I only have 3 days left to live"

These are high school students. I'm 15 and that's how I communicate with other students and my teachers so I'm not entirely sure what's so strange here.

I listen to a lot of horror stories and creepypastas but I have to say I'm absolutely obsessed with this one. I'm not even fully done with the video yet and I've already told my friend that I hoped there was a part two or that there would eventually be a part two. The feeling of this story is very different than most others and I love that about it, how the main character embraces the chaos rather than being shaken by it the entire time. It almost feels like a story that could easily become a horror video game with all the different rules to follow and actions to take. I love it.
I love these stories where the main character finds a weird list of rules. They usually have a spooky and interesting story. Can't wait to listen!

indeed, tbh in my opinion the start of the story was good but the ending is bad, it just starts throwing everything at once like a child's dream or fantasy and its hard to understand or make sense of anything

I like how the author uses some modern slang to hint at the protagonist is either a gamer or has a good grasp of pop culture. Also the slang used by the students makes them feel more like kids which is something I don’t get a lot of in other stories

This place seems like this town would fit perfectly as a SCP itself as people move in and are given rules while scientist study it then the poor officers and medics are called in not knowing what is happening.

These list horror stories are so in depth and self aware that it feels like there's a List world and sometimes people with different lists meet eachother.
Despite all its flaws, I genuinely enjoy the story and has come back to listen to it a bunch of times, and I think it's because of the funny behavior of the narrator, as well as all of the other characters. I really appreciate how the other kids and the bus lot guard have their own sets of rules they have to follow and their own parts to play in the SRCU (Strange Rules Cinematic Universe); my favorite part was when the bus lot guard showed George and all the kids his own set of rules, and we got to read them and then even see them in action.

For your viewing pleasure here is a list of the rules, this is not a 100% accurate copy, but i believe it covers all of it:
These are mentioned in the first 10 minutes of the video, so no real spoilers here. Enjoy the tale!
1. Do not use any electronic devices for navigation - they will try to deceive you, we have printed out a map for you to follow.
2. The bus stops you can drop kids off at are labeled 1,2,3,4 and 5, these stops resemble a bench with three walls, and the opening in the front. The bus stops number will be on both sides of all three walls. If you stop at a stop that is not marked as one of your bus stops, leave immediately, try not to look at anything nearby that is fixed up, aside form the walls to see if it is a valid bus stop.
3. The road is supposed to be very old and windy and unmaintained, if the road suddenly appears to be a road recently paved and is straight, and the scenery starts repeating, immediately slam on the brakes and turn around before it is too late. Once the road has returned to normal, and is no longer straight, you can turn around and continue your journey. If turning around is not possible, but the bus in reverse and drive backwards until you find a place to turn.
4. 4 if you run into a dead end, stop and put the bus in reverse or turn around, and go back until the end of the road is no longer visible. Similar as to rule 3.
5. If the road merges with another road, remember what side you came from, this will be important if you have to turn around, do not drive on the side that you did not come from.
6. If any other vehicles appear on the road, disable them by any means possible, I don’t care about minor damage to the bus. You can easily bash through any type of cars or light trucks, but be careful around larger vehicles that could put up a fight. Do not drop off any kids if your bus is currently being pursued (?) by any type of vehicle or if you disabled one recently and it crashed near a bus stop.
7. If your bus gets stuck by whatever reason, alert the students, they will know what to do. There is a handgun in the glove compartment near the steering wheel, use it to defend the bus if they attempt to get in. Wait in the bus until dawn and then contact us to get you out of there, no pay will be deducted if this happens.
8. If you hear a church bell avoid going near its source. If it is behind you, you’re good. If it is on your side or in front of you, turn around and get as far away as you can until the ringing stops, once you can no longer hear the bell, you can turn around and continue your journey. This usually doesn’t last long.
9. If you see a creature on your right, running alongside the bus, do not under any circumstances open any doors or windows. While it will always run at the speed of your bus, you can confuse it by constantly accelerating and decelerating. Doing that might get you in a position in which you can run it over. This is the only known way to stop it.
10. If the engine stops for seemingly no reason, immediately start it up again and floor it. Do not look at what is behind the bus. If that doesn’t work, refer to rule 7 for everyone’s safety.
11. If you see a human on the road, run it over, even if it resembles a loved one, it is not a human. If you fail to run it over skip any remaining stops and return to the bus yard as fast as possible. Do not under any circumstances open any doors or windows. If you have to turn around for whatever reason, do so as quickly as possible. Despite the fact that you will likely not see it again, it is still following you. Once you arrive at the bus yard, alert the guard. They will know what to do.
12. If you see a mansion in the distance, turn off all lights and floor it, none of the students live here. It’s position on the road changes often, sometimes not appearing at all. The owners are deaf but they can still see. And the part of the road in front of the mansion is straight, you can turn your lights back on once you are surrounded by forest again, sop you will be fine. This mansion is at least twice as tall as the forest and it emit lights from the rooms, so if you pay attention you can spot it from far enough away that you can turn of your high beams and headlight before they notice the light. If you see a ridiculously bright light behind you - they saw you. If this happens put on the modified sunglasses in the glove compartment and get out of there as quickly as you can. The students are prepared with sunglasses against the light, so don’t worry about them. If you are forced to turn around for whatever reason, do so as quickly as possible. Do not drop any students off when the owners are chasing you and return to the bus yard if necessary. When the light disappears and you’ve lost them, you can continue your journey. Keep all doors and windows closed during this time.
13. The true end of this roads merges with another road at a 3-way stop. If any students are still on the bus once you have passed all 5 of the stops go back to the front of the road and try again. Keep doing this until all students have reached their stops or if you get too tired to continue.
'The snakes just hijacked the bus' is the best line I have ever heard.
I was sketched out about him getting out of the bus to save some cats but it's humane so I saw it as being a good person, but then he goes to steal some copper wire... Smh...

This is one of the best Rules Creepypastas I've ever heard. The protagonist follows the rules, we figure out how much they're getting paid, we figure out why people live in such areas, and most importantly we saw a rule be made
He followed some of the rules dont forget he left the bus just to free some cats and steal copper wires from some unknown entities which by itself is crazy and hilarious but the icimg on the cake is that stealing the wire backfired im such an unfathomable way

Can I just say this is probably my favorite “list of rules” type of creepypasta? Idk what it is about this one specifically, but maybe that the weird rules aren’t just in one building or small area, but widespread. Like it’s a “normal” thing in this community to have wack rules and strange occurrences, and the people living there are just like “yeah, but rent’s cheap”.

Rough world, so much shyte happened due to a bus driver seeing captive cats which escalated into stealing copper wires, and we can pretty much be sure that the cats freed have been recaptured too...
I'm about to listen to a horror story for the third time. It might have been the first rules story I ever heard. I think the events I already recognize are going to be comforting in a weird way :)

I do actually allow others to write stories in my universe. Multiple authors writing stories that take place in the same universe was something I never saw on r/nosleep, and this made me so frustrated I made this.

Absolutely fantastic story. Loved this one! Very creative and really makes you think a lot. There’s a lot of streets named military road in the US. So god knows which one it really is. Leaves a lot to the mind 🧠
The true horror of this story is how he was allowed and able to drive a school bus with no training or experience

The setting of a town where every house has a set of rules has lots of potential.
The last fifteen to twenty minutes were like Fast and the Furious combined with supernatural shenanigans.

I would love a horror version of the magic school bus a classroom and a teacher whose Ethier not human or is trying to make things more bearable as each time they go on a Field trip something abnormal and horrific happens students magically come back completely fine with no memory of ever being injured recordings anything of proof never come out right
