I just made Fish and Onion rings for dinner. Fried ours in organic coconut oil and used Cod . The batter on yours was pretty thick. I like mine nice and thin just enough to get that crisp on the bite. Homemade tarter sauce with olive oil mayonaise
I’m a fish n chips expert. The fish is fine for its color. The batter is thicker style. The only pick is they are usually frozen chips and not fresh cut. But still good at that price. There are a few fish n chips shops in Bangkok hope you go check them out even though is 300bht
Those chips don't look to be hand cut from freshly peeled potatoes they look more like mass produced frozen chips. Well you can't have everything I suppose...
You won't really find fish and chips in Bangkok like you would find in England, I don't reckon. They don't really make chips in the style of British chippies. Also you are unlikely to find cod or haddock. Not to say that you can't get nice fish and chips in Bangkok. Wine Connection uses sea bass, and it's very nice, but nearly 400 baht if memory serves. Another place where you can get passable fish and chips is IKEA.
@@Kwippy i’ve done the IKEA fish and chips before, but they don’t have any salt vinegar or anything like that, there’s a place called Garretts, Bangkok Pat was telling me. But they are 500 baht a meal, but it’s supposed to be the real deal proper chips.
Don’t assume it, Singapore imported cod and haddock. Also there are places using beef fat to cook and handcut chips just don’t assume there’s none. Some do research
Kennedy’s in uk Paul it was great in the 70s 80s 90s 2017 it went down hill the batter isn’t crispy anymore and it seems all there shops were British people now you can’t get anyone English there I remember two weeks ago I went there £20 the batter was soft they use to put beer in the batter test the batter corn flour you use a little you always have to do the crispy test. I had Thai food in London Indians were cooking it I didn’t enjoy it 😂
Nice find! Sometimes its good to get a taste of foods from we're we're from. Thanks for sharing

I'm always looking for better fish and chips in Bangkok 👍
Looks like the menu said the fish was Snapper and the homemade Bleu Cheese Tartar Sauce. Assuming they always use Snapper then. Great video.
i noticed that you eat with your left and right hand> are you left handed?
I’m ambidextrous
@@Paul_G_Eats that means you can write both hands, not eat with both hands.
Looks good paul I must say mate
Thanks
Are you blind?
So hard to find decent F&C in BKK so thx for this so much
No problem 👍

Looks good bro, how much is 200 baht
Looked awful
$6 or £5
I enjoyed the fish and chips (with mushy peas) at the Red Lion pub, but, it is over twice the price.
@@ssrattus never tried the fish and chips there ,they do a fantastic breakfast though
May be try Sam's Fish & Chips and New York Burger
I will add it to the list 👍
Looks good 👍 , but hp sauce needed 😊.. I’ve only in that area , been to Garrett Fish & Chips , nice but pricey..
Garrett is good, but it's expensive!
@ yep

I found this on google maps by accident
@@Paul_G_Eats I might have to start using the maps.

£20 , I can remember it being £1 in the 90s
@ yes I remember 😂
They have re-used the oil too many times.
Not sure
@@Paul_G_Eats You could tell by the color of the coating . Should be nice and golden color usually.
@@Paul_G_Eats It's either that or fried at a very temp to high.
@@brucewayne2773 Yes it should be golden in color. Both fish & chips.
U just miss F&C don’t you!
Chips don't look great
They were French fries , with the vinegar taste really good
