Hey there, all the best for your move. May your new home be filled with Continuous Love, Joy, Happiness and Laughter. Happy to see Bruno setting in nicely.
Congratulations on your move. The new place looks modern and spacious. Great way to start the new year! Hope Bruno makes a lot of friends and we look forward to seeing you this summer.
Love your videos! You guys make a great team. Fellow So Cal and looking to make Thailand our future home in the next 6months. We have been looking at pet-friendly condos in BKK extensively. Just wondering how is the soundproofing in your current unit? How are pet owners in Thailand vs LA? Cleanliness, awareness, and attentive? We always blame the owners and not their pets. We have experienced some owners abandoning their ferry baby inside their small apartment making it unenjoyable for everyone especially the little doggy. We hope it’s above 7.5 🤔 Khop Khun Krub “also your Thai has gotten a lot better” great job!
Thank you so very much! 🥰🫰❤️🙏 So far so good, it’s pretty quiet for a pet friendly condo. Pet owners in Thailand have trained their pets far better than what we experienced in Cali. The dog’s temperament are slightly more calm here. Just from our experience, we noticed Corgis are a bit aggressive in Thailand, Shibas are 50/50 and Chihuahuas are similar to the states. Cleanliness really depends on the condos and pet owners. So far, we have been fortunate. We noticed where we were before, they did leave their dogs at home more often. Where we’re currently staying, we noticed the pets are happier and get more playtime. Meaning the owners are more attentive to their pet. Definitely, house hunting in person is a must if you plan on staying long term. Hope this helps! 😁
Love your videos! However, it’s only hard to find a condo in the kingdom of Thailand that allow pets, otherwise there’s a TON of condos available for all budgets. Additionally, quite a few condos offer free shuttle to BTS/MRT stations. There is actually a few the supply free breakfast for residents as well as a 7-11 in the building 😮 I hope you enjoy your new condo! 🎉
Thank you so very much! 🥰❤️🫰🙏 It is definitely difficult with a pet. You’re absolutely correct! As I’m reading this comment, I feel like you’re describing our new place 😂
This is so helpful. Just came back, and We are planning on moving in 3 years so visiting over the next 3 yrs to determine best location and housing thank you

Hello! It’s definitely not a must. Just an option, however, some agents have access to certain listings others do not and some have earlier access before it’s listed for rent. Being ahead of the game isn’t too bad when trying to find the best condo/best deal before anyone else. Just a tip 😉
@ yes I see. Thank you for your respond🙏. Now I know. Better to use an agent. May I ask how much you have to pay to get an agent? My daughter might come to Thailand for a long time so I’m gathering information to help her.
I can only imagine how different things are moving from a divisive place like California... well, I actually can definitely imagine. I currently live in Florida lol. Not for much longer though, cost of living has doubled across the board and quality of life seems to drop year by year... with any luck I'll be taking a long overdue leap this year. Cross your fingers for me. I'm a sucker for an outdoor area, some greenery goes a long way making somewhere feel like home
I think it is the same everywhere. I,m from Malaysia and have been living neighboring for the last few decade. Even in Singapore it is difficult to find a place that is really ideal as it is always fully booked. Maybe it is due to scarcity as there is shortage of condo in this country. Unless if you willing to pay more, surely you can find the right place. I have experience living in Bangkok for a year and finding a place is not easy due to barrier of communication. Most of the agent from don't speak English. U need to find a agency that recruit agent that can speak multiple language to make things smoother. I think to avoid all those hassle, u need a translator (maybe an apps or so) and ask for them for video tour or photo before viewing. Most of the agent list their property by area and they work within a district. So you need to strategies your search as this will help you into getting a the place you really want. My suggestion is, 1) Narrow down the area or district where you want to stay. Identified the condo or place which is most convenience for you. You need to do some research and start getting familiar with the area before viewing the condo. 2) Engaging with the right agency. Let them know what you want. Communicate effectively. Study the property portal and see how it works. The property portal did show some agent cover and specialise in certain condo, so look for them and tell them what you looking for. (the type of layout, pricing, design, direction etc) You have to understand that agent work for commission, they are commission earner. So the time they spend with you determine how much they going to bring hone at the end of the day. Why should they spend so much time on you when you don't even know what you exactly want ? They will just feel this chap is just surveying and not serious or in the urgency to find a place. The conversation will probably just ended there as they can,t find something that match your requirement. I think that all I can share at the moments. Go the ground and get things cracking, I wish you to have a pleasant experience in your next house hunting.
We didn’t really have much issues as far as communication goes but definitely limited listings for budget pet friendly condos. Yes! Everything you stated is valid. Along with our tips, others should have a easier time for their house hunting experience 😃 Thank you for sharing! 🥰🫰❤️🙏
Welcome to Ladprao, guys! I was born and raised here and lived most of my life in the area. I’m staying somewhere else now with my girlfriend, but Ladprao will always feel like home. It’s the most popular residential areas in all of Bangkok, and honestly, I’d say it’s the best! It’s super central, with all the main roads and highways connecting here, so you can get to just about anywhere. That said, the traffic here is infamous, probably the worst in Bangkok. But hey, it’s not like Sukhumvit is any better, right? 🤣 Oh, and don’t forget to check out Chok Chai 4 By the way, be careful when walking Bruno here. Ladprao wasn’t really designed for walking, especially with a dog. It might be better to take him to a park that allows dogs for a safer and more relaxing walk.
I gotta say, there’s a reason Thong Lor is so popular with foreigners. It’s modern, clean, and really safe. It has that trendy vibe that suits a more Western lifestyle. Ladprao, on the other hand, is a lot more local. It’s not as walking-friendly, and the lifestyle here is a bit different. We’re a car-centric society, so walking around, especially with dogs, isn’t as common. It’s more typical for people living in villas, but most people tend to stay within their area and drive when they need to go anywhere. But don’t worry, you’ll definitely find your rhythm and adapt just fine! 😄
100% Agree! I think Ladprao is definitely one of the best areas! We’re loving it! I know exactly what you mean 😁. I think traffic is worse for sure at Sukhumvit. Will put that on the list! Thank you! 🥰 Our community is more than enough to circle around for Bruno 😁
@@ChovyTravel It’s great to hear that he has a place to walk! I was so sad seeing him say goodbye to the cleaner 😭. When she said, “You finally leave? Don’t go, please don’t go na 🥹,” my heart just broke. As for Chok Chai 4, it’s a really long, deep soi that feels like its own local hub. There are so many restaurants and food spots to explore. If Sukhumvit has Thong Lor and Ekkamai, then Chok Chai 4 is Ladprao’s version of that. The market there is especially famous among locals for its food, and it’s also a major hotspot during Songkran! Families from all over Bangkok come here to celebrate and enjoy the festivities. Definitely worth checking out! Another area you might want to explore is Town in Town (officially listed as Srivara Road), which is close to Ladprao. It’s a strip packed with unique and interesting restaurants you can’t find anywhere else. You might love it there too, so be sure to check it out!
Oh, I also have another recommendation. On your free time, please visit Ban Tad Thong! It’s super close to MBK and Chula University and has quickly become the newest street food heaven in Bangkok. Every restaurant there is unique and trendy, and the area is always buzzing with uni students and young people. Lately, it’s been full of Chinese and Korean tourists too, lol. I’d suggest researching the area a bit before you go because there’s so much to explore from day to night, and you don’t want to miss out! I’d definitely call it a must-visit. If you have time, you should also check out Sam Yan on the same day since it’s close to Chula as well. The food scene there is right up your alley, very underrated among tourists but a longtime favorite for locals. You’d love it! Actually, you could just follow chef Baek Jong-won’s videos on TH-cam. He even visited both Town in Town and Sam Yan.
May i ask why did you decided to move out from the last Condo ? Is it just only because of the size was too small or any other issue else? Anyhow wish you the best new year ever🎉🎊💕
Mainly because the size was too small and we wanted to explore different parts of Thailand rather than just Central Bangkok. We believe it was the best decision and we’re enjoying where we live now 😃 Thank you so very much! Happy New Year and we wish you well and happiness! 🥰🫰❤️🙏
Nice video.. Interesting information.!!. One question for you guys, i saw many videos but no one tell you that most rent requires a valid visa (not tourist visa) to get the rental. What kinda of visa you guys have to get the rent?
I think Lat Phrao area is good choice. I am also thinking about moving near to Ha Yaek Lat Phrao this year since my condo lease due on this July. It's easy excesses to go to the immigration office, Don Muang airport, BTS/MRT and more..
Can you do a video about paying for rent, bills, food, etc? I'm curious if I can just use my Chase credit card to pay for rent, food, etc. Or do I need a Thai bank account to use PromptPay? Thanks! :D
Besides Central Lad Praow, you can ride MRT Blue Line just one stop for Lat Phrao station and connect to MRT Yellow Line for Bangkapi station to explore The Mall Lifestore Bangkapi reaching there within 15 mins. Another choice for your shopping, relaxing with Bruno in pet friendly mall and of course exploring delicious food 😊😊
jjajangmyeon is my favourite Korean dish. (and technically it's a Chinese dish!) wow, the apartments in Bangkok are so small. and they're luxury condos, right? currently i'm living in a big two-storey house all by myself. and it's way too big for just me and my lonesome. a duplex would be most suitable.
Yes! We call it Chinese Food too. Agree! But I feel like Asia in general, their condos are small. I believe locals would perceive them as luxury condos. Icic! Duplex would suffice for one person.
There are more than twenty pet-friendly condos in Bangkok, it's strange that you have problems finding an apartment. In my opinion, the most convenient location of the condo near the Benjakiti Park, as it is the center of the city, there are several BTS and MRT stops nearby, also there are many restaurants, cafes, shops and other pet-friendly places nearby, and most importantly, there is a large area for walking dogs in Benjakiti park. I live with a 20+ kg dog near this park
I think It really depends on preference. Based on what we were looking for, it was difficult. Dealing with Agents, Owners, Availability, Location, Budget, Public Transportation and etc. Our first time experience was rather easy but this time around not so much so it really depends on timing as well. Glad things were easy for you 😃 Sounds like a great fitting place for you and your dog 🥰
If you think Bangkok is tough, you ain’t built for the real world. I know it’s a joke but if you can’t last one night in BKK then you probably won’t last anywhere else unless it’s Tokyo or Singapore or Zurich. It’s probably akin to saying the kiddie pool at the local rec center is rough seas.
Hello! We do love the Porch Potty (Size Small). However, we were not a huge fan of their artificial grass. It doesn’t drain too well so it holds the urine. Therefore, we use a DIFFERENT Artificial Grass. We will link the Porch Potty and also the replacement grass we use in the description of the video. It seems to drain way better and it’s the perfect size for the Porch Potty (Small Size) Make sure you select the link, we will provide it with the CORRECT SIZE. Having a dog in Bangkok is way better than in the states. Bruno’s able to meet new friends quite often. He is very social so we could tell he’s very happy 😃. Do you have a dog/pet?
Hunting for renting is not as hard as hunting for buying... I have been in Bangkok for 3 weeks and still not finding the one I really like. The 3 condos I really like ( consider prime location / CBD / asoke ) Foreigners Quota already finished. And other one near thonglo petchaburi also the same... 😂... Otherwise it's too expensive 😂 ...

Hi,
Is using the agent to find an apartments a must? Cause I see in the facebook groups you can react to a post of the rental apartment.

Glad things were easy for you 😃
Sounds like a great fitting place for you and your dog 🥰
I heard that one night in Bangkok will make a tough man humble.
🥰
If you think Bangkok is tough, you ain’t built for the real world. I know it’s a joke but if you can’t last one night in BKK then you probably won’t last anywhere else unless it’s Tokyo or Singapore or Zurich. It’s probably akin to saying the kiddie pool at the local rec center is rough seas.
There a new train that accommodate pet dogs from Bangkok. Check it out.
That sounds cool! Will do, thank you for letting us know! 🥰🫰❤️🙏
Is that Noble Ambiance y’all moved to?
No, we’re towards the Ladprao area.
I’m so jealous lol
😁
Hi, can you share a review on your porch potty and maybe what it's like having a dog, condo living, in bangkok?
It seems to drain way better and it’s the perfect size for the Porch Potty (Small Size)
Make sure you select the link, we will provide it with the CORRECT SIZE.
I can only imagine how much of a pain it must be trying to buy in Bangkok 😬
Maybe look outside of central Bangkok 😅
Never ever rent in a pet friendly place, unless you have a dog.
Very True! 😃
BKK is overpriced it does not match average people income.
Yes, It’s definitely overpriced for locals.
