My parents both worked. My mom did the majority of the housework and cooking too. My dad did cook as well. But my mom was the one who did about 95% of the cooking. Years later, after all of us kids were grown my mother cut back working and eventually became the “typical” housewife. It was kind of strange to call home and she would answer. But I’m so happy that they both showed us that women are not less than men on any level.

My Dad was a terrific housekeeper. Great cook, too. Both he and Mom worked. So they shared the housework. She made more than he did.
