The Nova “ball thing” Donna refers to I think is the ball on the end of the chuck key …. It’s to operate the key at an angle

What a great demo full of lots of interesting information!! I’m interested to know how you learned to do the star. Did you figure it out or did you see it somewhere? And I love the idea of making a jig for multi axis work.

Cut her some slack ... she was probably pretty nervous doing her first demo for this club. And it is pretty clear that she is not used to turning on a Laguna lathe.
