Could The Imbued Heart Drop From Bosses?

- This video is an open discussion to the imbued heart and it's insane drop rate. I would love to see a change for the way you obtain the imbued heart. Personally I avoid boss slayer since there is no way to obtain a heart from bosses. I would love to hear opinions from people on both sides of the fence!

Additionally this chance for bosses to drop the heart could be a slayer unlock as well where you need to pay points upfront to have the drop chance unlocked. What do you guys think?

@@Shamdunk I have a main, and I do want to grind for it lol. Im just open to ideas. This would not make it any faster or easier to obtain. Killing a boss like hydra 10,000 times isn’t quick.

imagine being a max iron dry at 220 solo cox 1 item /200 toa 1 item/2,2k kc for bp, 700 for bowfa,8,8k for dwh, 440 arma kc for my first piece, you'd cry for rework all day baby, just get good and deal with the rng. We all picked ironman knowing it was a lot harder and time consuming lol
I don’t mind grinding slayer, this change wouldn’t make it easier it would take like 3x as long but I the option would be cool
@@DarkhoodOSRS i mean im at 18m slayer exp and still no heart, its not like imbued heart is a MUST for content, its not like getting a spoon t bow or bowfa, or dwh, those are game changer. I wouldnt mind some bosses having a really rare chance to drop it that would be nice

I think Ironman life should stay hard. The game should not be changed to make it easier for anyone.
Nah this wouldn’t make it easier for anyone it would make it easier for EVERYONE. That’s different it’s not a buff but a rebalance. Imbued heart now isn’t skill it’s not even time based it takes so long it’s literally like waiting to be hit my lightning. It doesn’t make sense to be that long
@@juliangonzalez3749 no need. Especially if it’s pitched for iron men. It’s established content. Jagex is owned by the iron community so I bet they will budge. BUT they should stand firm and leave it alone.
It isn't about making it 'easier' it is about making it 'realistic'. You're considered 'lucky' if you get an imbued heard at 20 million slayer exp. There are ironmen with 50m+ slayer exp and no imbued heart. That is ridiculous mostly when considering that there is no alternative to it. And consider Iron man is such a popular way to play there is nothing wrong with changes for iron men, we settled this debate years ago.
It's absolutely stupid to have an item in game that you can spend 1000 hours playing and not get.

I got my first imbued heart last week, it was my 15th marble gargoyle and I had completed 370+ tasks (93 slayer btw).
This is why people say Ironmen ruin OSRS.
prob a different view but a new magic pot that equals the Saturated heart would actually already solve this issue. also dont see why they should change it because you got a lucky Tumeken's shadow, it is not a core item like dragon warhammer it is just a convenient item to have. most irons dont have it and dont even care about it.
Don’t think they should change it for me specifically I just liked the idea, I’m gonna grind it out either way!

I genuinely hate how much Ironmen cry about things being to hard or too much work to achieve. Honestly jagex should make drop rates for irons even higher. The whole point of being an iron is to be more difficult. It's genuinely annoying asf.

I think it makes sense to have bosses drop it. Maybe it’s the slayer helm that causes the heart to be imbued lore wise idc. But not all bosses are equal I think the rate should not be static across the board.
So many updates are ironman tailored. Imo it should stay as it is. Its not ironmanscape.😅

With diaries what is the xp total to be on drop rate before I tell you if you are correct or just whining. If it's under 9m slayer xp avg drop I think it's fine post 99 I think droprate of 1 in 3 mil xp would be a good adjustment. Just my 2 cents.

As someone who disagrees with his central point of needing to change rates, he was correct about that number.
Only about 30-35% of players will receive a heart by 99 slayer.
Ironman mode may be the single best change they ever made to osrs. It has really exposed the glaring issue that so much in this game is locked behind RNG. In a game without ironman, it just naturally works out, you can buy an elysian sigil, an imbued heart, etc, but it also devolves the game into gp-scape as we all know, and devolves the drops into just its raw gp value. Ironman both solves this and introduces its own problem, the absurdly rare drops that you now cannot buy. The items that help out so much in progression that you can't just farm a bit for.
I never thought I'd have this much fun on an iron, albeit a group iron, but I haven't really played my main in years. Ironman is so much more rewarding and fulfilling, and still has a nice progression curve.

Congrats! No one in the GIM has gotten one yet, and I haven’t seen one or a gem in 99 slayer on 2 accounts lol. But it’s fine I enjoy slayer, especially since I have a Venator bow.

As someone's stated below in a comment down here, it's not about making it easier, it's about making it realistic. When 1 item has an average expected drop of beyond level 99 in a skill, there's a big issue there.
So many uninformed salty gp scapers crying because of healthy changes to the game.

I agree there shoud probably be a different method of obtaining it, but the 1/10k bossdrop is just as terrible as the current way tbh.
It doesnt even have to be slayer related, just some way to rush it instead of getting it almost pasively.
For example like how Pyramid plunder is some of the best thief exp per hour if you go for exp, but drops to 20-50k exp/h if you focus on the pharaos sceptre.
Terrible take, the whole point is it is supposed to be difficult to obtain. Irons that cry about things being difficult need to just go back to playing normal accounts
@@Steezytreez0_0 It depends on the item, before shadow nobody really cared, but now its alot more important, and the way of obtaining it is unbalanced.
Ironmanmode is part of the game, like it or not, and they need balance updates just as much as regular accounts.
I could ad that if you dont like it and continue to cry about things that maybe tetris is a better game for you, but i wont since it has nothing to do with what we are talking about and would make me look childish and emotional.
Before watching this I want to say as an ironman, we need to stope making things easier. I’m fine with qol but drops from bosses or mobs need to stay the same imo.
After watching I disagree with you. I don’t like the boss drop chance at all. I like heart being incredibly rare. It’s a flex item for irons. Btw in 15m xp on my main and about 10m on the irons, no heart or gem. But one day lol

i think more boss drops for the group is more valuable than the heart bonus
I think it gives more reason to do boss slayer in general. I don’t think this would really increase the chances of getting it that much if any anyway so idk why all these losers are crying in the comments lol I do agree ironmen put the restrictions on themselves so they don’t get to complain about any drop rate related stuff but that would be good for mains too as another reason to do slayer bosses imo

Mains do slayer bosses as is if you want a pet or big item drop already. Why add additional valuable drops to their tables. It's not about it increasing the chance of dropping it's about people making accounts knowing that this is a RNG based game then complaining about the fact that it is RNG reliant to receive drops. Which you acknowledge in your own post. You just wanted to puff out your chest and call someone a loser from behind your computer screen.

Omg you have to actually grind something to get the complete max magic boost, you chose this game style, and for the record calosal hydra is the best chance at heart not smoke devil's, stop crying for easy scape the game is great how it is.
