The fact we so suddenly and unceremoniously lost Close Enough and then had this announced is probably the best single example to use in describing how much the industry has fallen on the corporate level in just a few short years.
The thumbnail makes me think that, Since the finale of the original series confirmed that Pops is watching the other characters from Heaven, I'm also wondering if revival Pops will try to return to Earth for whatever reason. Like maybe he'll be resurrected or something.

Mordecai and Rigby, were just objectively terrible employees most of the time. As for Rigby, that’s why I’m worried. Feels like Rigby was given most of the character development over Mordecai, who they sort of just forgot about it and gave a wife last minute.

@@CombatSportsNerdBenson have his bad moments, like the episode where he scolds them when he is in the hospital in the eggcelent episode, thankfully he apologises and help them later, and the cosmic sandwich episode, which I'm pretty sure he broke several labor laws by denying Mordecai and Rigby a lunch break, also making them clean Skips garage was really unfair, although I understand his anger for Mordecai and Rigby, he was really unprofessional and petty in those stances, there is also the goose episode where they literally tried everything and Benson was being unreasonable when they asked help, he had to be called out by mother duck

Personally, I would think the Lost tapes will tackle both the unanswered questions of the past and the events of the future. And what would be funny is if they also do an animated version of the comic that came out post the end of regular show. I'd love to see Mordicai shave his beard or trim it to a level where he could watch his kids have adventures.

I'm happy that this sequel takes place after the finale, as it was too perfect to continue after it. But I wouldn't mind if they would have a post-Pops sacrifice but pre-thirty year time skip period, where we see Muscle Man rasing his first kids and Mordecai and Rigbys final days working at the park.
I really wish we could get a show reboot that’s not centered around the original main characters but focused around their kids instead, getting into miss adventures/shenanigans together, but still have some parental interventions at points or time to time.

If I could pick something that I want to see from this new show, it would be a PROPER in-universe intro of Stef (just like you said, Vox.) I'm especially curious to know what she might sound like. Most fans I've seen immediately jumped onto the idea of her being some form of vampire bat lady. As a result, some fanfics either gave her the "stereotypical" European accent (a la Bela Lugosi) or chose to have Stef sound more soft-spoken and mysterious like a Goth
Honestly, the only thing I’d really care about is seeing how differently Mordecai handled things with Steff than he did with CJ or Margret. That and getting closure with CJ

I would like to see a new Regular Show series set after the finale following a new park crew with maybe some legacy characters returning (Skips is the most likely to be a main character since he never left the park).

This was gonna be a series of Mordecai and Rigby being in their youth when it’s already confirmed that it is a continuation so and I understand the loss tapes title, and where that confusion comes in, but the loss tapes could also just be referring to the parts we never saw in the rest of the show so as you said before in between because Mordecai and Rigby generally look the same and the regular show movie for the most part was a hit so the older version of the characters are absolutely recognizable so I don’t know where you got that
