OMG Marcy, my dad LOVED biscotti!! You just took me down memory lane and gave me some allergies. I made him some for Christmas one year and seeing him savor them with his cup of coffee was priceless! Thank you, I needed that today.
Perfect recipe Marcy (I’m Italian and this is pretty accurate) I will try to make them soon...ayyy I need to get rid of 30 pounds first!!! Thanks again🌻
I am right there with you. I started out last year saying I was going to lose 10 pounds, and at the end of the year I only had 20 to go! 😂 I’m blaming it all on Covid.
Funny you should mention that. That was my plan with these, because it is a pretty big batch. But because of the quarantine, I only ended up packaging and giving away a few to my daughter and her roommate....which meant, my husband and I ate the rest! They were long gone, before we finished editing the video, and now I want more. Be sure to post pics on my FB page when you make them.
Man does look so good and I love the Anise the only thing that was missing was dipping them in chocolate but that's a personal preference then again I would dip my fingers in chocolate and eat them if I could, great job!
Too funny. I have made them where I dip the bottom side in chocolate before, but personally, I didn't like them as much. To me, the almond & anise flavors come through better on their own. Plus, there's no temptation to dip my fingers in chocolate and eat them! Lol
I dip mine in chocolate too, sometimes drizzle it but mostly I dip bottom in chocolate and cool on wax paper...I was the first one in my family to EVER make Biscotti, now its REQUIRED for Christmas, lol EVERYONE loves them!!! So Yummy 😋
mine never last long so not sure i can answer that, but made as gifts before and kept nice for up to 1-2 weeks before they were gone, so beyond that? lol
The written recipes can always be found in the description box beneath each one of my videos. Good to know Almond meal flour works with this recipe. Thanks for watching.
Just put mine in the oven. My dough was not quite as soft as yours. I halved the recipe. Hopefully they'll turn out good. Will share the final result once we taste it.
@@helenachase78 I made 1 large log since I halved the recipe. I used 1/2 tbsp anise seeds and 1/2 tsp anise extract. After slicing I noticed some doughy parts in the centre so I baked the slices on both sides instead of 1 side, with the final time being at 325 degrees for 10 min. Overall result was really nice. Flavour and texture improved as they cooled.
Want to try this but could I add half of anise seeds and then a tsp of anise liquid flavoring? (Watkins brand). Or will that be too strong of an anise taste?
Love this recipe, wondering why the butter and sugar aren’t creamed together, eggs and butter don’t mix that well. Lol I mean everythung came together well eventually, just thought it might have been easier.

Looks great going to try
Hope you like them as much as I do.
Love it ❤❤❤scrumptious and crunchy.
I will be baking these soon. Look so delicious!
I hope you do. You'll love them!
Really good looking biscotti - grew up eating anisette/almond ones.
Will be trying these for Christmas 🎄🎄
I’m happy to hear that. Thanks for checking out my video & taking the time to comment.

That is the best video yet! Yummy!
Thanks! This is the recipe Kathy B. gave me when I still lived there. I think of her every time I make them. They're SO good!
You've inspired me to try this recipe. I love biscotti but I've never thought of making them. I'm thinking they would also make great gifts. Thanks!

How long do these keep at room temperature?

The biscotti can be made with almond meal flour hope you answer where we get the receipe

I’m confused bout the butter is 1 cup or 1cup plus 2 cubes?
Which type of anise do you use, the ones we get to make biscochitos are never very fragrant nor can you taste them when baked.

So how did they turn out ?
Mine are in the oven now !

I call it An-I-z, and I use Anise extract...I also cut at an angle much more diagonal than you did...last step I dip in chocolate to end them off
Sounds yummy. Thanks for the comment.
@@marcyinspired1442 very, and thank you for the video, I think it was one of the better ones I watched to see how other ppl are doing theirs😊

My recipe is exactly the same except 1 tablespoon liquid anise extract and one tablespoon anise seed crushed a bit. Its very subtle as well
The Italian ladies don't skimp on the extract !
@@helenachase78 I'm Irish and we don't either, lol I like the Anise flavor, and they are a hit every year, never skimp on the Anise:)
I made this recipe and they turned out perfect! Very delicious. Only thing was i had to put them in for more time then it says here.
So long as they turned out the way you like them, I'm happy to hear that. Thanks for taking the time to comment.
@@marcyinspired1442 thank you for the recipe, very easy and delicious.
Hello Marcy, could you be so kind as to give the ingridents in gramm, please! Thank you in advance.
How about a dip in chocolate
