A spectacular curiosity that defies description....does this furry sequencer have any place in the modern world? I think not, however this machine/apparatus may hold the key to alternate & parallel realities. In a thousand years this device will be thought of as an alien artifact and held in a secret government warehouse next to the cheese strings
This is so f'd, but equally awesome. I can only imagine how crazy this would make me in the right (or wrong) circumstances, i.e. after a long debauched night.
It's currently on display at the Royal Festival Hall Clore Ballroom (London, UK) - come and have a go with it at 2pm this Saturday! (Sat 24/4/2010) Dave.
Wow, this is art. It sounds like one of those numbers stations from the Cold War. If you could get it to play 'The Internationale' or the later National Anthem of the Soviet Union, I'd have a panic attack.
What a fantastic machine. I'm glad to see someone mention Tim Hunkin, he's quite a hero of mine. If I had the cash mate I'd surely commission you to build me one of these. I do hope however to learn how to do this myself at some point. :)
most excellent. ever seen the furby pool? a crazy installation with hundreds of these things embedded into a seamless wall. google it. you'll be glad you did. make more!

+Geoff Williams On the contrary... I could see something like this being used as a secret coding device in the military or similar such application.
Whacko! If an antiques dealer sold one of these in a hundred years time I wonder if it would need re Furby-shing!
you win.
Imagine circuit bending one of those animatronic cartoon character bands like they had at Chuck E Cheese.
i dont think that whould work, those run on air compression, and use showtapes for the audio, so im pritty shure you cant circuit bend em
they arent electronic
@@autumnmissepic8498 you can circuit bend the animatronic controller, but the controllers are super expensive
@@guys-in9vd huh neat
any other fellow cec fans here?
I love this thing. I love the housing too. And I love the fact that it is a mechanical sequencing device rather than electronic.
I LOVE IT!!!
This is either insanity or genius. The jury is still out.
Why Not Both?
Very, VERY unique! Excellent work here. Talk about thinking outside the 'box'!! Well done......
Thanks very much! Quite an old project - it was made about 11 years ago, but I still have it in a box somewhere...

Wow, this was so many years before LMNC even started his youtube channel..
This is genuinely fascinating, this feels like something you'd see in those retro style horror video series.
Now all my fondest nightmares can come true!
took a while to get going.. But then everything I expected from a circuit bent mechanical furby sequencer. Great stuff
how cool is this, absolutely brilliant idea and nicely done

this is the coolest thing i've seen in a really long time
Thanks very much, but Tim Hunkin is actually the modern day Tim Hunkin! Check out the new sculpture that he has done for London Zoo...
Sounds like something I would heard on a Pink Floyd album. O.o
This is so AWESOME!!!! Please make more!
this is the coolest thing i've ever seen
This is legitimately unnerving
fr hshahifkj

Sehr schönes, aufgeräumtes Design!

Roxy Beauford
Just stop. This has to stop.
Dude that sounds sick!
So that's where the sounds from portal came from!
Brilliant mate, nothing like circuit bending electronics like this, it's like a rough sequencer,
So that was... completely awesome.
Beautiful.
That's totally awesome!
AWESOME!!! I want one!!!
They are toys. They are to play with. How you play with them is up to the user :]

I like this idea!
I like that it has a wheel like a barrel organ
this kind of looks like the apartment that the furblings on the furby boom app live in
It's like a fever dream...
Awesome.

Reminds me of Oneohtrix Point Never
damn that's awesome!
Awesome-Insane-Noisy-Thing!!!! 8:-P

I saw this on Make. This mess rules, because it made a really cool sound track. I was just talking about furby's the other day too... wierd huh?

Dystopic steampunk supernova music box.
Freakin sweet man
What a beautiful abomination.
Really amazing work. For a more primitive approach to performing with bent Furbys, check out the Furby Youth Choir video I posted last October.
Should put an annotation about changing it to 240p, because it started up when I came here, and popped my speakers scaring the crap out of me.
if a furby is a computer, that would be a supecomputer.
Mechanical Furby Sequencer...
I never expected that phrase to exist.
jjjf
Try bending one of the new ones
Why is this not playing the theme to Close Encounters of the Third Kind?
crazy!!!...i love it.. :D
A design that is "Completely" beyond me!
haha
Terrible and beautiful, like the face of God.
Please make a CD!
Free the furbies!
stop cruelty to furbies!
this is circuit bending at its finest
poor furby babies
the sound is working
I remember this not having audio
That's right, it went through a weird phase for a few months of only playing the audio under certain conditions. Seems okay now though.

i thought it was like youtube's content ID muting system they had back in the day in which they don't have
dude this rocks! That was a very cool project, How long did you take to make it? It sounded pretty good though, Keep it up man.
DJ. Sonicwave
i would never sleep again, just 24/7 furby raping, great.
At one point it starts to sound like the aliens from Close Encounters of The Third Kind-(the uncut version.)
This is terrifying.
Haha, awesome!
The song of hell is finally real
sounds like the start of a fucking death grips song or something lmao
All part of Tzneetch's plans
No, as that would make intricate soldering too difficult.
absolutely awesome man.. would commission you to make one except I don't have the cash, want to commission me to make something?
It's an scp.
creepy and interesting
Watch in 240p to get the sound.
Thumbs up if that sound at 0:03 scared the shit out of you.
