I had never heard of voice farm. I would love a “bands from the 80s you may have not heard about” video. Always looking for new music. ❤😊

Great honorable mentions, Craig. 'Orpheus' is the song that drew me to Secrets Of The Beehive. Voice Farm! I've got Bigger Weirder Cooler from 91: Free Love! An enjoyable and entertaining watch as I get ready for work. 😎🎶

I still need to catch up on your previous videos but seeing Music for the Masses in the honorable mentions video... wow! There must be some heavy hitters in the 1987 video :)
That slip and accidentally singing Thompson Twins was hilarious!

These videos have been so great! Thanks for sharing! SO many things I love in this video...Purple Rain (obvi), Arcadia (fantastic album), B-52's Whammy (an underrated fave), Creatures' Boomerang (Feel the same about the missing tracks...maybe it will get a proper reissue? Not sure with the divorce), Eurythmics' Touch (my personal fave...that AND Sweet Dreams in ONE year?! Wow), DM Music for the Masses (brilliant)...Awesome choices. Samantha Fox threw me for a loop! Ha! And when you started singing Thompson Twins, I thought you were gonna break out Side Kicks or Into the Gap! Side Kicks (or Quick Step & Side Kick) is an awesome pop record! So glad you mentioned Sylvian here! I couldn't believe you hadn't heard any of his other stuff. His previous 2 solo albums are probably a bit more atmospheric...Gone to Earth has a whole 2nd instrumental record that might not be to your taste, but the vocal section VERY good (You'd probably really like "Silver Moon"...beautiful song), and the debut Brilliant Trees opens with a really funky track "Pulling Punches" and then goes into more atmospheric jazzy stuff but it's also great. You REALLY need to hear the Gentlemen Take Polaroids album..."Nightporter" OMG...MASTERPIECE. The whole album is a template for what Duran Duran would do more commercially a year or two later. The other albums of the period Quiet Life (very Roxy) and Tin Drum (more Asian-influenced) are also stunningly good. There was also the single they did with Giorgio Moroder ("Life in Tokyo") and the other that SOUNDS like Giorgio ("European Son") not on albums. Thanks for mentioning Dead or Alive and George Michael. I have been to hundreds of shows, and George was probably the best live male vocalist I've ever heard. He could hold stadiums in silence. And Pete...a wild child with talent. Love the 80's albums (Youthquake and Mad, Bad are also great SAW fun). RIP to both and I really do think Dead or Alive/Pete needs a documentary to make people aware how groundbreaking they were. Surprised The Cure's Head on the Door and Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss Me didn't make your honorables (love them both), nor did and Pet Shop Boys or New Order (just not your favorites I assume) but there are SO many great 80's albums, these lists could go on and on. Did you mention Erasure's "The Circus" ever? I don't remember seeing it, but I could be wrong. Just thought as highly as you thought of their other stuff, it would have been pretty high on the 1987 stuff. Same with the Book of Love debut or Lullaby. But we can't have em all! Keep up the videos and go listen to Japan's Gentlemen Take Polaroids ;-) ...

That Voice Farm cover reminds me of a 12-Inch single from Seventh Avenue. They were a gay boy band in the UK in the 80s and one of their singles (I forget which) was pretty risque.
