this whole situation is so horrible but shame on her parents for not acting like this case was that serious. I knew girls in high school who were in toxic relationships with manipulative and dangerous guys, and oftentimes part of the reason was their parents not caring enough to stand up for them and get in the way. If that was my daughter, I would've gone over to that boys house the minute she told me about how he'd been manipulating her.
