I'm hypothesizing that someone's chin or arms would catch some shrapnel from some of those rounds. I've seen other videos on pistols using Xtreme Penetrators that go through Kevlar vest. So I was totally surprised this plate held up to that rifle round.
If this were 2x4 feet, it would be great to use as cover. Maybe if it said "Shoot Here" you could reduce it. Criminals are not always intelligent. The problem we had with body armor, which claimed to be stab resistant, was it restricted movement. I intend to be a moving target the moment I leave my home. They definitely did the trick!
I think three layers of porcelain floor tile can replace it.
LOL! With a roll of Gorilla tape too!
@@RL-RL I would have said seven reems of printer paper, but that is a bit more heavy to carry on your chest. The last time I wore body armor was when I was forced to appear for jury duty. It is not a substitute for being armed.
Wouldn't be bad until you started taking multi hits. This steel can take hits all day long right on top of each other.
@@ToolsandTargets Personally, I plan not to be hit twice once I know someone is shooting. I suspect the second shot would not be aimed at the body armor. This body armor does seem the most effective. I committed to a test of body armor for a year for correctional officers. It was heavy and so hot one officer passed out. It was like living in the boiler room of an aircraft carrier.
@@ToolsandTargets The reason for having THREE is to take multiple hits. The reason for porcelain FLOOR tiles is they do better than the tiles use in body armor.
SEE: "Ceramic Tile showdown! Which ceramic is best at stopping Rifle rounds"
I think it may shocking results
It definitely took a beating!
Where can I find a large hoop lever for a Marlin 1894 CS? It's chambered in 357 mag.
I'm not sure about that one.🤔
@@ToolsandTargets I've looked from the east coast to the west. Ruger bought marlin, now parts can't be found. All I know is I love this rifle & will never part with it.
Try a 22-250 or a 243 with light bullets, might be surprised
They definitely have the speed but there's not a chance either one of those will defeat this III+. It would take some kind of AP 30-06 would be my guess.
Appreciate that, brother!😎👊
Hey tools what mag block do you run on the Ar9 lower? I have the psa one and the locking lug is so sharp it deforms my Magazines
Stern Defense. It's pricey but it works flawlessly.👍
You live in some beautiful country
It aint too shabby. Gives you a nice echo from gunfire through the valleys too.
Tools I can load you a couple 30-06 rounds that will go through that easy I’ll leave it at that
You got them black tips eh.😎
