very informative session. Brief yet wonderful to understand.
Thx! This is one of the best overviews if not the best I've ever seen on this subject.
Also most of the companies have very vague idea of the processes they use daily. Sometimes due to mass layoffs, sometimes due to companies merges , sometimes due to using 3rd party tools or vendor company to run mentioned process
Thank you for this very useful video!
Informative thank you! I would have a suggestion: Would it be possible to show a process mining example that will be able to produce or help in making a process map?
I too would like to have a video on process mining and why it’s challenging.
We do have a video about processing mining if you want to check it out: th-cam.com/video/YNxpGimyCt0/w-d-xo.html
as always, Insightful!
I like how he sounds.
Thanks for this video. It's helpful
thank you
Thank you very much
Please what roles in an organization, is responsible for all of this?
In my workplace, line managers and lots of talking to the business analysts team. It’s an iterative process until all workflows and loops have been identified
Business Process Manager
Why is included in Cloud section?
with new systems like SAP Signavio does it mean that BPMN is automated from MS Visio to auto flow charts using data?
Not all businesses use event logs and process mining though.........
My after 3 days digging through archaic process in the company that was used for last 5 years and never documented: "Data mining what? :D "
This video scientifically misrepresents many facts... First and foremost >> BPM stands for Business Process Management NOT Modeling. Within BPM life-cycle process discovery and modeling is one of the phases. We do design process models by hands which are reulted from interview-based process discovery approaches that lead to modeling processes by hands. We do also use PROCESS MINING for evidence-based process discovery, which is not completely related to data mining (the event logs are specific and different). For more information please read the BPM book written by Prof. Dumas.
But this video is about Modeling specifically, not the larger umbrella of Management.
Not Beats per Minute?
@@davidmorgan572 Yes, but process discovery can be done by interviews, not just from electronic data sources. Otherwise, you would not be able to automate a manual process if you only had the option of data mining for discovery.
What’s the book called??
