I've been using my Canon EOS 7 and 7ne cameras for concert photography and I absolutely love these models. They've been a big reason for me to make the transition to film from digital. I went with Canon EOS cameras because I could use the same EF L lenses I use for digital. They were a great price because they were sticky but some rubbing alcohol cleaned it up fine. I love the balance of these cameras and they weigh so much less than my Minolta SR-T 101 that I don't use anymore because I like the adjustable diopter in the viewfinder.
I like to see that you are making all kinds of different content that interests you! You are a whole person, and you should not feel beholden to whatever aspect people first found you for.

My first brand new SLR was going to be a Canon 7n, I ordered it at a local camera shop around 2004, Changed my Mind and got a Nikon N80. Years later I gave my N80 to a friend and got a new F100, went shooting with the F100 today!.😃
LOVE the Nikon N80 and N60 N65 all those plastic 90’s cams! But the F100 is a beast and so good too. Thanks for watching

The 90's slrs are underrated. I have a all manual pentax spottie but have my dad's old eos500n which I learnt film on and which will never break.

Ms Lumen, saw your TH-cam video. Like that you using film for your photos. Using vintage digital cameras seems to be something a few people are trying for a retro look lately. I have had different cameras of moderate price since the 1960s. Still have several film cameras besides digital cameras. Great that you explore ideas that come to your mind or that you see something that intrigues you and you explore those ideas. Be sure to take time outs to refresh yourself. Like your adventurism.
Thank you, I love trying to make photography fun and using cameras that give a specific look is always an important part of the process. The vintage digital can be a bit troublesome to use at times but the unique results are worth it !

So, mostly what I say is my opinion, driven by too many years on this planet, some with a film camera, but since the late 90's, exclusively digitals, of which I prefer 3-6 pixel CCD's from the early 2000's. I completely appreciate your distinction of shooting as a film purist, but recognize your need to, well, eat and feed your child. Mostly, I never shoot for money. I like to experiment from time to time. On this U-tube medium, I have published a couple videos, but the piece I've liked the most is a moving slide show I published the year our mom died, about a decade ago, featuring the demolition of the hospital in which she worked for many years. I shot with my Pentax Ist DS, procssed the photos on AC/DC, them made a video with selected photos, set to music, using Pinnacle software. Without a doubt, producing video is the most time consuming, and for me, the least rewarding activity. Without boring you with mindless U-Tube metrics, this production continues to garner views for over a decade, surprising me even though the numbers aren't overwhelming. They are consistent, which makes the project a learning experience for me. I bought the rights for the music, and suggest the posting will long live on after my eventual demise. I super enjoy viewing your photographs, and watching you talk with your hands. I think being a content creator is about creating videos you love and you’d love to watch! I have my own channel and bounce between different forms of content: photos, fashion, music, and more. People love and watch your videos for you - those folks are your best audience

word of advice on the Elan 7--very good camera. It's only weakness is the film door latch. it is plastic and once it is broken the camera is dead and the only replacement parts come from another elan body. It is very easy to break--one drop or bang--and it's done for. I went through 3 latches before I gave up on shooting my beloved Elan...
I feel like most of these mid range modern SLR have weak batter and film latches. Pretty annoying but I guess it’s one thing that keeps them cheap!

As you might remember I have the EOS30 SLR, which I think will be called the 7E in your part of the world. It has the eye control auto focus. The EOS33 is the same but without that feature, which I think is called the 7 So confusing having different names for the same camera in different parts of the world!
You do you Lucy ! You're the boss of you ! Love all the Nikon L35AF content, my favorite also. I have 4 right now, but my 1000 model needs a bit of a repair. It only shoots with self timer, guess I could use it on a tripod for landscapes or anything really ! But I'll probably have to send it out. TH-cam for me is more about the personality of the content creator rather than the content itself. Sure, the subject is what initially draws you to that channel, but, like you said, how often can you do the same videos over and over and over. Eventually it becomes forced, and that’s when the creativity dies. I applaud your decision to adventure into other content as it relates to your personal tastes. And I’m here for it 🙂
To be honest, I like more your Instagram now, I really like the colors of a lot of the photos. It's more interesting to see your work and your personality than camera reviews...

Very interesting! Your commercial work definitely looks very interesting and it is great borrows from your personal work. Something for us to think about when AI has brought commercial content creation to a crossroad. AI is becoming very good at creating mid level generic quality stuff. Creators will have to lean in to their personal style and creativity to stand out.
I'm fine if people want to change their content. Its like anything else in life things change. Only time I got mad when a channel changed their content was the SyFy channel started playing wrestling the WWE. But that's a cable channel that's different. LOL

Honestly, while I appreciate your photography content, I find the tone of dismissing your followers in a manner that implies indifference towards their support and focusing solely on generating income for yourself quite arrogant and pretentious. I'm not here to judge your attitude, just offering my perspective. Thank you, Lucy, for the journey, but as you've mentioned, all good things must come to an end. To be perfectly honest, 95% of the content on Y.T, which are masquerading as ' photography ' are nothing but advertising for this brand and that brand by people who are almost entirely sponsored or are looked at favourably by the marketing dept of those bards. Those few channels that are about making photographs and god forbid about the art, skill and craft of photography are quite rare and as a consequence have very little following compared to some guy or girl with the latest digital offering taking bad snaps of attractive young ladies or making picture post card landscape photographs that have been done a zillion times before. Ah, I forgot Street Photography, you know what I am talking about. Find a patch of light alongside some shadow, wait for a passer by to walk through it and it becomes street art, and to do it you'd need a $8000 Leica M body and a $6000 Leica Apo lens. I have even seen a few people with Hasselblad X2D 100C ( yes 100MP) do street photography. The result, the same pile of crap but 100 MP of it. So never mind others , do what you feel is good for you and your business. Keep well.
