- In the 2nd Part of this amazing case study on Kodak, Dr. Vivek Bindra gives in-depth details on how despite a long available window of 10 years to change, adapt and shift, Kodak still failed to pay heed to key information from the members of its own company and outside world and continued to ignore the adoption curve and shift in core technologies.
Due to the failure to do appropriate scenario analysis, the brand failed in reflective listening about its blind spots and did not realize that its competitive advantage too had a limited lifespan. Bitten by the self-praising syndrome they could not convert the feedback to feed-forward. Kodak kept clinging to the past and playing the favorite. Finally, it got all over for Kodak and they had to file for bankruptcy.
