Yarn used: Medium 4 weight yarn, 100% acrylic
Crochet hook 4.5mm
Hat's circle diameter 6.5inches.

Hello, I think the yarn is thinner strand than I am using or your stitches are too tight. I'm using red heart supersaver yarn. Try to increase one more round. You will have 90 stitches. Then in the round 18 pattern of the part 2 video. You also have 90 SC. Then proceed to round 20 pattern after round 18. 5.5mm diameter is too small for adult size. It will fits from 3 to 10 yrs old.
