  • Here we are going to demonstrate to you how we could mold this medium sized molder with a nice design, it measures 11" in diameter by 4 3/4" high, our ingredient ratio is based on a basin measuring 12" in dia. and 4.5" high, for the cement, it is basin full, for the sand, it is 1" below the basins top level, and for the pulped paper, it is 2" below, for its water we can use 1 and 1/2 basin, we just add later if we need to and we mix them together.
    Step by step process:
    1. Wipe inner part of the lower mold with oil and also the outer part of the upper molder
    2. Pour the mixture into the lower mold about half of its capacity.
    3. Put the upper molder inside of the lower molder with the mixture inside, push further down while maintaining it's center.
    4. Put the first block of weight inside the upper mold so it could move down further.
    5. Put the second block of weight on top of the first block, chech upper mold that it stays at the center always.
    6. Push the weights slowly downward until you feel that it reaches the tip of the stick placed in the middle of the lower molder.
    7 . Add more of the mixture into the mouth of the lower molder if needed. and also tap the sides of the lower mold to release trapped air within the mixture.
    8. Let it dry for a day or two.
    9. Remove the weights and the upper molder, scrape off excess mixture .
    10. Allow it to dry for another day, remove the lower mold by turning it upside down and tap all sides to separate pot from the molder.
    11. Apply skim coat to bubble holes of the pot, sandpaper to remove excess coat when dry. Wipe all supface of pot with a wet cloth.
    12. Pot is ready for paint finish. THANKS FOR WATCHING!!!

    *I will tell you this! Hemp-Crete blocks with over 65% fiber are as bullet proof as the best body armor. I shot a Hemp-crete block made with 65% fine chopped hemp fiber, 25% Portland cement and 10% sand measuring - 12" X 14" X 24" and the punishment it took was AMAZING! I shot the block with both 30-06 and 50 caliber ammo and I could never get a bullet to go through it or even split it after 80 shots to the center mass. It just seemed to get tougher since at same point the new bullets were being stopped by a wall of brass and lead building up in the blocks center mass! AMAZING EFFECT!*

    The reason why we did not demonstrate the production process of other pots, it is because, regardless of how big and how small and what designs you intend to make, you only have to go thru the same process, just follow what is being demonstrated here, then you will just be alright.

    Good day! We would just like to ask if this is waterproof? If not, what can we apply to make it waterproof? Thank you.

      Try asking hardware people if they have water proofing powder or compound to be mixed with cement, I am sure they could provide you an answer to your question. Thank you.

    Thanks for sharing. May I ask what you used for skim coating? Thank you so much

      skim coat for tiles, you can buy it from the hardware

      Skim coat is used to fill bubble holes, mix a powder cement like skim coat with water, not so watery and not so sticky, apply skim coat using a small paint brush to the entire body of the pot to cover big or small holes, let it dry for a couple of hours, have them sanded either using electric sander or by hand, brush off the dust generated by sanding, after that you will be ready for painting. That's it.

    Sir? Can we use any clay instead of sand? If not, what is the real use of Sand in this?

    • @bobvegapapercreter
      @bobvegapapercreter  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      We use sand and cement mix to produce hollow blocks here in our place, to my mind, if i use pulped paper added to the mixture, I will produce lighter mixture suitable for pot making. After you have molded and remove from its molder, you only need to have it sun dried, no need of kiln drying or high temperature drier. It must be with sand, river sand will do, very fine sand. I doubt if using clay will work, but you can experiment.

      Sand is mixed with cement to add strength to the mixture, lessens its ability to create cracks when dry, so does the pulped paper.

    Is this heavy?

    • @bobvegapapercreter
      @bobvegapapercreter  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It is lighter than pure cement and sand mix because pulped paper is added to it. Start with 1:1:1 cement, sand and paper ratio, make your own adjustments to the mixture if you need to. Add water to the mix, make it not so watery.
