Thanks for taking the time to make this video, super useful! I found an easy way to thread the cable through the rubber tube heading to the boot - pull the tube all the way up and tape the end of the cable to the mid point of the wires. Then move the tube all the way down over the wires to expose the end of the cable taped to the half way point. It worked really well with PTFE lubrication. Also I found i didn't need to remove the seal around the boot. Many thanks!
Thanks J I appreciate it.....I am currently putting together a vid on fitting my ZS spare wheel kit to the MG4....I hate being without a a proper spare wheel.....I have lost a few inches height in boot space but it is fine for me....may be of interest to other MG 4 owners ..should be uploaded in the next fortnight
Thanks so much Tom, really appreciated. Getting an MG4 in the next month or so and the dashcam (A139 second hand good deal) is ready to go. Really love all your videos!
Ideal to use for threading cables etc behind panels is net curtain wire, rigid egnough to feed through and flexible egnough to weave its way around obstructions.
Firstly thank you for an excellent video, very clear and detailed. 33:44 I wonder if the fuse box is in the same location in a LHD car which would likely place it behind the glove box, and they didn't relocate it for RHD to keep costs down? I can't see why anyone would design it that way otherwise, as it's not exactly something you can easily check at the roadside. Still, now we know so I'll be sure to carry a multitool in the car just in case!
Hi NJ...thanks for the kind words....much appreciated. That would make sense re the fusebox. In my previous car ..(an MG ZS EV) though it was on the left hand side ...much easier to get at just by removing glove-box....you can see it in my dashcam install on the ZS vid Seems MG just flips a coin to decide which side to put it :)
Thanks for that Dan...useful to know....as you prob know if you have an mg4 the temperature is badly calibrated....heat doesn't come until you select above 26 Deg ...maybe they will sort it with a software update one day
Because the car has no facility to record footage from it's onboard cameras..,and even if it did the cars cameras have a totally different field of view making them unsuitable as dashcams ...it's far too low a view and only comes on below a certain slow speed....they are aids for parking and closeness to curbs etc ...a vehicles built in cameras and a dashcam are 2 totally different things...I believe Tesla's have the capability but certainly not MG's

Hi ...I think I know what you mean...you would need to connect to a "switched Live" fuse ...check out part 2 here th-cam.com/video/dFiP3qLYBbo/w-d-xo.html at about 7 mins 16 seconds in .

A bit late now but That little stud that you couldn't remove is the cabin temperature sensor

WHY would you install 2 extra cam for DASHCAm use, then the car has 4 cams installed orginal, just a time of software update.
