DP was not infallible and we all believe something that's simply not true but one thing I know he helped me in my christian infancy and he has lead many people to the Lord and is still leading people to the Lord from the grave.amen
I've learned a lot thru my experiences. Some good, mostly bad. But above all else, I submit myself to the Word. It's the only thing that hasn't steered me wrong. The Word outweighs experience. Period.
Demons are real, but everything is not a demon. Experiences do matter if it never goes outside of the word. I have seen demons manifest in people speaking with a different voice. I don't believe Christians can have demons , but we can be oppressed.
Someone led me to prince when I first got saved, and he kept me in bondage for years. Having me bind spirits that weren’t even in me, and constantly making Me feel that Jesus deliverance wasn’t enough, and I needed more. He had me so Confused. He would hold teachings of each person having specific demons instead of just admitting you’re feeding your flesh. Blame it on a demon… I feel that prince backed up that theory of Christian’s being possessed. Which I know now, is highly unbiblical!!! All people who have followed his teachings are in bondage and don’t even know it. I kept trying to bind these so called demons “that were attached to my flesh” but not in my spirit. Horrible!!! Horrible To preach that and believe it. It wasn’t until I started to spend time with Jesus, alone, that Scripture showed me a lot of what he preached was wrong! I know many people who follow this man’s teachings and think and believe they are possessed while having the Holy Spirit.
Christians cannot be demon possessed, but a lot of people saying they are Christians are really just church goers. I used to go to church, read the bible, fast and pray. Yet I would watch pornography and listen to gangster rap. I said I was a Christian, but I was really just a church goer giving lip service to Christ. I heard an old school preacher teach this, and I agree 100% with this teaching.
I listened to him for awhile when l was newly saved...l found him to be in error. It was difficult watching him tell huge crowds around the world that they were Born Again Christians with demons. And there they all stand before him spitting, vomiting and convulsing, while he said he was delivering them. I saw a Pastor l follow with a huge book by Prince. He said he has tried to read it and struggled and couldn't really get into it. I said it's because you have discernment ...l wouldn't bother, he's not sound in some areas. He agreed. My brother who is in error about deliverance just feeds off this nonsense. God Bless...🙏
When God first saved me, I was led in the wrong direction, but that was also my fault because I wasn’t reading the word of God, but we know God works everything out for his good, Romans 8:28… I found Derek Prince , well I was told about him and yes I thought everything was a demon and was always trying to do a deliverance on myself until I was shown the truth by the Holy Spirit and the word of God and that was back in 2014 Thank you Jesus

Sometimes things happens because we make bad decisions and Satan takes advantage of that because we give him a way in. Some times people are just sick because of weakness in their bodies,chemical imbalances ect. But sometimes the enemy,for whatever reason(only GOD Knows is allowed to put sickness on people like he did job. Though somethings were not consistent with scripture though usually he warned that it was not scriptual before he spoke of possibilitiesof what a thing could mean etc. However I did learn a lot from Mr Prince that was sound.
I'm glad you did this video. Derek Prince was responsible for deceiving so many about this topic. Derek was not the best Bible interpreter. I remember how he took Proverbs 25:28 and argued that the inner nature of humans is a "city" and "areas" like a city. That is what we call eisegesis, since Solomon did not have that kind of wacky interpretation in mind. He had no sound basis for distorting Proverbs 25:28 in that way. But people falsely claim he was such a great Bible teacher. Sorry, but great Bible teachers don't make things up out of thin air and do eisegesis like this.
I believe that God freed me from my smoking addiction. I had quit several times over the years but always returned to it after a year or so. The desire to smoke never left me. But after I was Saved the desire left and I layed them down and the desire is gone. If you dont have a freedom from something from your former life you can point to might be a sign that you made a "Confession of Faith" without the "Possession of Faith". If you believe your demon possessed cry out to God in your bedroom on your knees.
DP taught that born again believers could lose salvation. Such people, by thier own admission reject salvation by grace through faith alone and preach an accursed gospel that doesn't save. Mark and avoid.

Proverbs 9:10, “Fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom”. So, is this “fear” a demon? No, fear is not an entity. Fear is neutral in a connotative sense. Fear actually can be healthy by serving as an emotion that notifies you that something is wrong or off. Elijah had a healthy fear being human. At the same time, Elijah had to trust the Lord to protect him so, technically he shouldn’t have fear. God knows the alert he put in us. Does a person have a demon when fear of a situation (like being a woman walking alone at night) presents itself? No. Unhealthy fear is wrong when the root of the fear is corrupt. Should you fear the devil? No. He’s nothing in comparison to God but if you do fear the devil, then you subconsciously trap yourself into giving him more power than God and allow yourself to be consumed by that fear with no understanding of biblical truths like biblical fear of God. Allowing ungodly fear consume you can open a door for demons to escalate the situation like any emotion shown without a true Biblical filter. Like you said, no demon can’t enter a real Christian.
Fear isn't a demon rather a consequence of being born in a sinful body and what scripture teaches us is to learn to rest in God and learn to place reverence for God above the fear we feel, yes God understands and is patient with us because even christ was faced with fear towards the end of his life
Fear is not an emotion it’s a spirit but a spirit from the enemy. For God did not give us a spirit of fear but of power love and sound mind. 1Timothy1:7 The emotion you get is the evidence that the spirit of fear is present. Fear is not an emotion according to that scripture.
Derek P. was by no means 100% correct, but he was nonetheless used mightily by the Lord in teaching and ministering the Gospel as the Bible illustrates - in Word and power. I know Christians can have demons, have seen it with upright, Bible loving Christians. In the US however, due to the Gospel being intellectualized and the power being quenched if not denied fully, there is very little knowledge of the spiritual realm. Just because someone professes Jesus doesn’t men that AUTOMATICALLY all demonic oppression ceases as in when one is born again, his SPIRIT is born again, the BODY is NOT born again and that is where sin and where demons can dwell. Corey, you’re right that some people in that camp sometimes see a demon under every rock etc. You, however, misjudge what you don’t understand based on your unbiblical and intellectual view of the Gospel. The Pharisees were the ones that had a HUGE PROBLEM with Jesus operating in the supernatural & BLASPHEMED the Holy Spirit. They were too PROUD to humble themselves and question whether their own pride & BIAS along with their RELIGIOUS SPIRIT/ DEMON blinded them and caused them to commit the UNFORGIVABLE sin. Ultimately, the undiscerning will happily defend a false teacher even when God's Word that was given us by the Holy Spirit clearly contradicts that false teacher. That's what happens when you hold a false teacher in more esteem than our Lord Jesus Christ and what He did on the Cross. No true Christian can be possessed by a demon.
@@ifeifesi Three days ago, while I was praying, a spirit took control of my mouth and said it wouldn't leave. For the next two days, I woke up at 3:33 AM. I knew God wanted me to pray, but I was very tired and ended up experiencing sleep paralysis twice. This happens to many Christians, but the only response they often get is, "You're not saved." I know my heart, and I am certain that I am saved because the Spirit bears witness with my own spirit that I am a child of God.
I listened to some of his sermons, especially on demons. I lost one from which I really wanted to learn. I am glad I lost it, especially given what you say in this video.
I really respect Derrick Prince. However, this troubled me when I heard this years ago. I think he came to this rational to explain what he encountered through deliverance. I agree his teaching is wrong on this point. The bible is clear that there is separation and no fellowship between dark and light. Professing Christian's can most definitely have demons, thats the conclusion I have come to. I've encountered people who are very religious and don't have the Spirit of God. People who can take the word of God, weaponise it and spew hate, and I don't mean lovingly being corrected, I mean rage, cursing, baseless accusation, threats. I like this channel, because it challenges me. I don't agree with everything, but at least everything is based on the word, we can argue the difference. Thank you.
Derick Prince was one of the the greatest to ever do it. The world needs more deliverance ministers, listening to DP changed my life. Led to revelation. Things are concealed and DP teaching leads you to be filled with the Holy Spirit and recognize spirits on you. A great thing to think about is Matthew 17 vs 21 "However, this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.”" being removed/omitted from some versions of the bible. This is directly about casting out demons and was flat-out removed from the bible there is concealment around deliverance. As you say is that biblical to remove scripture? I'm curious about your thoughts on the powers that be removing Matthew 17 vs 21 a deliverance verse out of some version of the bible. Truth concealment is real. The problem is you don't see the unseen, there's no revelation only intellectualized religion.
There a few of us Christians can have demons. Corey I believe has religion ...I truly believe he needs to experience God power and have a encounter with Jesus. If he never seen a genuine deliverance and people raised from the dead and miracles he has nothing to go on.

When I say this, people respond by saying, 'No, it's not a literal spirit,' but John tells us in 1 John 4 that behind false Jesus, there is the spirit of the antichrist. So yes, it is a real spirit.

Definitely, I read the ones about demon casting and generational curses. I taught and defended them. But few years ago, I started to see how bad his teaching is. He is a horrible exegit as you said.

The question about, "Can a Christian have a demon?" is really dependent on whether the person who says they are a Christian is actually a Christian. If one is a Christian and has an active seal of the Holy Spirit, then they cannot have a demon at the same time. However, some people who call themselves Christians dabble in sin can fall under control of demons. It's dangerous so be demon-conscious, it just leads to a lifestyle of fear and paranoia. It is also dangerous to organize the reality of activity of demons even in people who call themselves Christians. If you have been in "frontline evangelistic ministries", you would understand demonic possession and how people get afflicted.
Experience is never exalted above the gospel of Jesus Christ. Our belief must be in submission to what is written. We don't take the gospel and make it fit our theology. We change our understanding and humbe ourselves in obedience to the Word, As it is written. We submit to God as we are led by the Spirit of Truth. The Word says we are sealed with the Holy Spirit. Therefore, the Holy Spirit never leaves us nor forsakes us. Jesus says He sets us free. So we are free. Jesus completely cleanses the temple at salvation. No demon remnants reside in born again Spirit filled followers of Jesus Christ. There is no scripture verse to support this theology. Sin is of the flesh. If you believe otherwise you're allowing doubt to lead you astray. The Holy Spirit is greater. Jesus leaves no one in bondage. If you believe it takes multiple deliverances to set you free, then you're believing another gospel contrary to the gospel of Christ. Who are you putting your faith in to deliver you? Jesus sets everyone free from the beginning. How can you believe in Jesus name you're delivered, but you doubt Jesus delivered you at salvation. That is not the gospel of Jesus Christ. His salvation is sufficient enough. His finished work on the cross delivers you. From day 1. He didn't preach a works based gospel. Faith in Him is what delivers you. Sanctification is a lifelong work of the Holy Spirit. We must deny the old nature (flesh), submit to God, RESIST the devil til he flees. Til this day, deliverance ministries cannot produce one scripture verse that supports their theology of multiple deliverances using Jesus name after salvation. They cannot prove Jesus failed to set someone free at salvation to the point they returned to Jesus for a second deliverance from demons. The only demons that were cast out, were from ppl who never met Jesus prior. They were possessed to the point where they weren't in control. They didn't just simply "manifest" a demon as a born again Spirit filled follower of Christ. The gospel of Christ preaches Christ crucified because Jesus alone is the power that sets everyone who repents and believes free. Saying otherwise makes Jesus a liar. The blood of the Lamb delivers us from everything that keeps us in bondage. Now our walk is done in faith to the Word. Endurance is keeping that faith in Christ. The gospel is Truth. No demon is to be exalted above the finished work of the cross. Since the foundation of the church was first built upon by the apostles, there are absolutely no scripture verses that say the apostles scheduled multiple deliverances after Jesus ascended because a demon returned to make them sin. Why is that? It's because Jesus delivered them the moment they believed by faith. They became born again as new creations and Spirit filled. Multiple deliverances is unbiblical. It is another man made doctrine that takes scripture out of context to apply it to their understanding. The Spirit of God would never lead anyone to believe this. That'll imply both Jesus and the Holy Spirit to be weak and not powerful to set ppl free and keep them free. Jesus clearly warned us of these type of wolves in sheep's clothing that lead ppl astray from sound doctrine. He says, I never knew you. Depart from me you workers of lawlessness. If you are living a lifestyle of compromise by looking and acting no different than the world, then examine yourself to see if your heart truly is in submission to God's Word. If not, repent. Walking in the flesh and proclaiming yourself to be Christian while spending no time in the Word doesn't make you saved. Believing the gospel of Jesus Christ and making Him Lord of your life in surrender and obedience to Him does. That's how you become born again in the Spirit. And led by the Spirit. No demon touches or dwells in those who submit to God and renew their minds in the Word. Otherwise your illegitimate and an open tomb for demons. Who return making u 7x worse. Jesus puts His Spirit only in those born again by faith. From day one. He never leaves us as orphans with an empty temple. Believe Him.

When I turned to Jesus, I started getting attacked by demons. How do you explain that? Is started having dreams of demons molesting me and choking me. Then I feel them stabbing me in my body.

@@onesshot5818 The verse is in 2 Corith 11:4 and if you read the previous verse (3) you clearly see that Paul is talking about their minds being deceived. Sometimes people can use the word "spirit" to mean attitude or disposition which I believe is the case here since that passage is about Paul's concern of their faithfulness to Christ and false prophets. John speaks to us about the spirit of the antichrist that accompanies the false prophets and opposes it to the Spirit of God. This time, John uses the term 'Spirit of God,' which refers to the Holy Spirit. John makes us understand that behind false doctrines is the spirit of the antichrist. Accepting a false Jesus or a false doctrine is accepting the spirit of the antichrist.

Have you read that whole pericope, and come away thinking that the whole point of it is demons? Paul is rebuking the Corinthian church who are entertaining these “super apostles”, who are proclaiming a different gospel that does not save. His rebuke is that they are bearing beautifully with it, when it is ineffectual! Please do a word study on the word “spirit”. It does not always mean demon. Example Paul prays for the Ephesians that they would have the spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of Christ. Eph 1:17. He has already said that believers are sealed in Christ with the Holy Spirit of promise. So what is this “spirit” that Paul is praying for them to get from God. Everything is not a demon.

How can the light coexist in a dark room? One will overcome the other. The light is the absence of darkness. I’ve yet to see a candle not cause the darkness to flee. Look at the sun rising, therefore how can you have the Holy Spirit and a demon inside a person? It can’t happen.
I don't think your interpretation of 1 Samuel is correct. You say that the demonic spirit COULD enter Saul when the Holy Spirit left first. But that is not precisely what the text says. I think your interpretation is a reasonable assumption, but that is not precisely what the text says. The point of the text is that the Holy Spirit does leave, and a demonic spirit comes upon Saul. However, the verse does not explicitly make the point that the demonic spirit COULD NOT enter because the Holy Spirit was present within Saul. Therefore, to be accurate, exegetically, this verse, although supporting your argument, does not conclusively prove it.
In my early years, i knew some whacked people that saw demons, literally, everywhere. As people, who claimed to be saved, they were demon possessed, for real. The things i saw, as a young person, were definitely, spiritually, insane. And, they were pastors. Demons have no boundaries, other than the ones we put up, via our relationship with God. If someone came to me to be set free of something, completely lacking self control, my first assumption is, they are not saved and need deliverance. Freedom becomes the priority, not whether they are saved. Jesus cast demons out prior to asking a demoniac to follow Him. There is a balance to all of this. Demons are not everywhere, in everything, but they are around doing stuff. We need to be aware, and discerning.
1 Cor. 6:17 says, the one who joins himself to the Lord is one spirit with HIM. If a man should not make himself one flesh with a harlot thru fornication, would the Holy Spirit who is thrice holy not drive any other spirit out who invades His temple?

Corey, you took the words out of my mouth. These ministers always have plenty of stories. My first church was like that...Bible study consisted of listening to Hagin, Price and a crazy sounding guy named Dave Robison. Stories about their lives, usually without scripture, or taken out of context.
Corey, it's advised not to rely on personal experiences, especially when it comes to encounters with God. However, if someone claims to have seen, spoken to, or been possessed by a demon, there's no need to test the spirit because it's already clear it's a demon. The danger is that a demon could disguise itself as an angel of light.
You think the word of God is old. Truthfully you think corey arguements are old Because their based from the text and his doctrine is none especially if you noticed he would have said carismatic, cessationist, calvinist. And Isaiah doesn't prove that a Christian can have a demon. Nor does it prove this guy (prince) biblical teachings are true.
Corey, both Derek Prince and Alexander Pagani were delivered from demons when they were already Spirit filled Christians. Are you suggesting that they lied about their experiences? I have witnessed many Christians with demons, and seen examples of the demons returning with seven more worse. These people still believe they are Christians. Mark 5:6 proves that a believer can have a demon. “When he saw Jesus from afar, he ran and worshiped Him”. (Mark 5:6-19) Unbelievers don’t worship God.

And Matthew 17 the “little faith” Jesus is talking about is not about how much faith you have but who your faith is in, CHRIST. “So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed him, “If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” They answered him, “We are offspring of Abraham and have never been enslaved to anyone. DP was not infallible and we all believe something that's simply not true but one thing I know he helped me in my christian infancy and he has lead many people to the Lord and is still leading people to the Lord from the grave.amen

Demons are real, but everything is not a demon. Experiences do matter if it never goes outside of the word. I have seen demons manifest in people speaking with a different voice. I don't believe Christians can have demons , but we can be oppressed.
Someone led me to prince when I first got saved, and he kept me in bondage for years. Having me bind spirits that weren’t even in me, and constantly making Me feel that Jesus deliverance wasn’t enough, and I needed more. He had me so Confused. He would hold teachings of each person having specific demons instead of just admitting you’re feeding your flesh. Blame it on a demon… I feel that prince backed up that theory of Christian’s being possessed. Which I know now, is highly unbiblical!!! All people who have followed his teachings are in bondage and don’t even know it. I kept trying to bind these so called demons “that were attached to my flesh” but not in my spirit. Horrible!!! Horrible
To preach that and believe it. It wasn’t until I started to spend time with Jesus, alone, that Scripture showed me a lot of what he preached was wrong! I know many people who follow this man’s teachings and think and believe they are possessed while having the Holy Spirit.
Christians cannot be demon possessed, but a lot of people saying they are Christians are really just church goers. I used to go to church, read the bible, fast and pray. Yet I would watch pornography and listen to gangster rap. I said I was a Christian, but I was really just a church goer giving lip service to Christ.
I heard an old school preacher teach this, and I agree 100% with this teaching.
I listened to him for awhile when l was newly saved...l found him to be in error. It was difficult watching him tell huge crowds around the world that they were Born Again Christians with demons. And there they all stand before him spitting, vomiting and convulsing, while he said he was delivering them. I saw a Pastor l follow with a huge book by Prince. He said he has tried to read it and struggled and couldn't really get into it. I said it's because you have discernment ...l wouldn't bother, he's not sound in some areas. He agreed. My brother who is in error about deliverance just feeds off this nonsense. God Bless...🙏
When God first saved me, I was led in the wrong direction, but that was also my fault because I wasn’t reading the word of God, but we know God works everything out for his good, Romans 8:28… I found Derek Prince , well I was told about him and yes I thought everything was a demon and was always trying to do a deliverance on myself until I was shown the truth by the Holy Spirit and the word of God and that was back in 2014

Sometimes things happens because we make bad decisions and Satan takes advantage of that because we give him a way in. Some times people are just sick because of weakness in their bodies,chemical imbalances ect. But sometimes the enemy,for whatever reason(only GOD Knows is allowed to put sickness on people like he did job. So in the situations we face,that's where discerment,and most of all spend time in THE WORD and with GOD comes in.because GOD can always reveal what's specifically going on with you and me,Demon related or not in our bodies ,soul and spirit.(and I could be wrong,but I thought I heard derek prince say in one of his sermons "now don't get hyper spiritual and look for a demon in every nook and cranny "lol)

Though somethings were not consistent with scripture though usually he warned that it was not scriptual before he spoke of possibilitiesof what a thing could mean etc. However I did learn a lot from Mr Prince that was sound.
I'm glad you did this video. Derek Prince was responsible for deceiving so many about this topic. Derek was not the best Bible interpreter. I remember how he took Proverbs 25:28 and argued that the inner nature of humans is a "city" and "areas" like a city. That is what we call eisegesis, since Solomon did not have that kind of wacky interpretation in mind.
He had no sound basis for distorting Proverbs 25:28 in that way. But people falsely claim he was such a great Bible teacher. Sorry, but great Bible teachers don't make things up out of thin air and do eisegesis like this.

I believe that God freed me from my smoking addiction. I had quit several times over the years but always returned to it after a year or so. The desire to smoke never left me. But after I was Saved the desire left and I layed them down and the desire is gone.
If you dont have a freedom from something from your former life you can point to might be a sign that you made a "Confession of Faith" without the "Possession of Faith". If you believe your demon possessed cry out to God in your bedroom on your knees.

Proverbs 9:10, “Fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom”. So, is this “fear” a demon? No, fear is not an entity. Fear is neutral in a connotative sense.
Fear actually can be healthy by serving as an emotion that notifies you that something is wrong or off. Elijah had a healthy fear being human. At the same time, Elijah had to trust the Lord to protect him so, technically he shouldn’t have fear. God knows the alert he put in us. Does a person have a demon when fear of a situation (like being a woman walking alone at night) presents itself? No. Unhealthy fear is wrong when the root of the fear is corrupt. Should you fear the devil? No. He’s nothing in comparison to God but if you do fear the devil, then you subconsciously trap yourself into giving him more power than God and allow yourself to be consumed by that fear with no understanding of biblical truths like biblical fear of God. Allowing ungodly fear consume you can open a door for demons to escalate the situation like any emotion shown without a true Biblical filter. Like you said, no demon can’t enter a real Christian.
Fear isn't a demon rather a consequence of being born in a sinful body and what scripture teaches us is to learn to rest in God and learn to place reverence for God above the fear we feel, yes God understands and is patient with us because even christ was faced with fear towards the end of his life

Derek P. was by no means 100% correct, but he was nonetheless used mightily by the Lord in teaching and ministering the Gospel as the Bible illustrates - in Word and power. I know Christians can have demons, have seen it with upright, Bible loving Christians. In the US however, due to the Gospel being intellectualized and the power being quenched if not denied fully, there is very little knowledge of the spiritual realm. Just because someone professes Jesus doesn’t men that AUTOMATICALLY all demonic oppression ceases as in when one is born again, his SPIRIT is born again, the BODY is NOT born again and that is where sin and where demons can dwell.
Corey, you’re right that some people in that camp sometimes see a demon under every rock etc. You, however, misjudge what you don’t understand based on your unbiblical and intellectual view of the Gospel. The Pharisees were the ones that had a HUGE PROBLEM with Jesus operating in the supernatural & BLASPHEMED the Holy Spirit. They were too PROUD to humble themselves and question whether their own pride & BIAS along with their RELIGIOUS SPIRIT/ DEMON blinded them and caused them to commit the UNFORGIVABLE sin. Ultimately, the undiscerning will happily defend a false teacher even when God's Word that was given us by the Holy Spirit clearly contradicts that false teacher. That's what happens when you hold a false teacher in more esteem than our Lord Jesus Christ and what He did on the Cross. No true Christian can be possessed by a demon.

I really respect Derrick Prince. However, this troubled me when I heard this years ago. I think he came to this rational to explain what he encountered through deliverance. I agree his teaching is wrong on this point.
The bible is clear that there is separation and no fellowship between dark and light.
Professing Christian's can most definitely have demons, thats the conclusion I have come to. I've encountered people who are very religious and don't have the Spirit of God. People who can take the word of God, weaponise it and spew hate, and I don't mean lovingly being corrected, I mean rage, cursing, baseless accusation, threats.

Derick Prince was one of the the greatest to ever do it. The world needs more deliverance ministers, listening to DP changed my life. Led to revelation. Things are concealed and DP teaching leads you to be filled with the Holy Spirit and recognize spirits on you. A great thing to think about is Matthew 17 vs 21 "However, this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.”" being removed/omitted from some versions of the bible. This is directly about casting out demons and was flat-out removed from the bible there is concealment around deliverance. As you say is that biblical to remove scripture? I'm curious about your thoughts on the powers that be removing Matthew 17 vs 21 a deliverance verse out of some version of the bible. Truth concealment is real. The problem is you don't see the unseen, there's no revelation only intellectualized religion.

Everyone says it's impossible without having a clear verse, but the apostle Paul clearly tells people who had received the Spirit (the Holy Spirit) that they could receive another spirit. in 2 Corinthians 11 4 :
"For if someone comes to you and preaches a Jesus other than the Jesus we preached, or if you receive a different spirit from the Spirit you received, or a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it easily enough."
When I say this, people respond by saying, 'No, it's not a literal spirit,' but John tells us in 1 John 4 that behind false Jesus, there is the spirit of the antichrist. So yes, it is a real spirit.

The question about, "Can a Christian have a demon?" is really dependent on whether the person who says they are a Christian is actually a Christian.
If one is a Christian and has an active seal of the Holy Spirit, then they cannot have a demon at the same time. However, some people who call themselves Christians dabble in sin can fall under control of demons.
It's dangerous so be demon-conscious, it just leads to a lifestyle of fear and paranoia.
It is also dangerous to organize the reality of activity of demons even in people who call themselves Christians.
If you have been in "frontline evangelistic ministries", you would understand demonic possession and how people get afflicted.
Experience is never exalted above the gospel of Jesus Christ. Our belief must be in submission to what is written. We don't take the gospel and make it fit our theology. We change our understanding and humbe ourselves in obedience to the Word, As it is written. We submit to God as we are led by the Spirit of Truth. The Word says we are sealed with the Holy Spirit. Therefore, the Holy Spirit never leaves us nor forsakes us. Jesus says He sets us free. So we are free. Jesus completely cleanses the temple at salvation. No demon remnants reside in born again Spirit filled followers of Jesus Christ. There is no scripture verse to support this theology. Sin is of the flesh. If you believe otherwise you're allowing doubt to lead you astray. The Holy Spirit is greater. Jesus leaves no one in bondage. If you believe it takes multiple deliverances to set you free, then you're believing another gospel contrary to the gospel of Christ. Who are you putting your faith in to deliver you? Jesus sets everyone free from the beginning. How can you believe in Jesus name you're delivered, but you doubt Jesus delivered you at salvation. That is not the gospel of Jesus Christ. His salvation is sufficient enough. His finished work on the cross delivers you. From day 1. He didn't preach a works based gospel. Faith in Him is what delivers you. Sanctification is a lifelong work of the Holy Spirit. We must deny the old nature (flesh), submit to God, RESIST the devil til he flees.
Til this day, deliverance ministries cannot produce one scripture verse that supports their theology of multiple deliverances using Jesus name after salvation. They cannot prove Jesus failed to set someone free at salvation to the point they returned to Jesus for a second deliverance from demons. The only demons that were cast out, were from ppl who never met Jesus prior. They were possessed to the point where they weren't in control. They didn't just simply "manifest" a demon as a born again Spirit filled follower of Christ. The gospel of Christ preaches Christ crucified because Jesus alone is the power that sets everyone who repents and believes free. Saying otherwise makes Jesus a liar. The blood of the Lamb delivers us from everything that keeps us in bondage. Now our walk is done in faith to the Word. Endurance is keeping that faith in Christ. The gospel is Truth. No demon is to be exalted above the finished work of the cross.
Since the foundation of the church was first built upon by the apostles, there are absolutely no scripture verses that say the apostles scheduled multiple deliverances after Jesus ascended because a demon returned to make them sin. Why is that? It's because Jesus delivered them the moment they believed by faith. They became born again as new creations and Spirit filled. Multiple deliverances is unbiblical. It is another man made doctrine that takes scripture out of context to apply it to their understanding. The Spirit of God would never lead anyone to believe this. That'll imply both Jesus and the Holy Spirit to be weak and not powerful to set ppl free and keep them free. Jesus clearly warned us of these type of wolves in sheep's clothing that lead ppl astray from sound doctrine. He says, I never knew you. Depart from me you workers of lawlessness.
If you are living a lifestyle of compromise by looking and acting no different than the world, then examine yourself to see if your heart truly is in submission to God's Word. If not, repent. Walking in the flesh and proclaiming yourself to be Christian while spending no time in the Word doesn't make you saved. Believing the gospel of Jesus Christ and making Him Lord of your life in surrender and obedience to Him does. That's how you become born again in the Spirit. And led by the Spirit. No demon touches or dwells in those who submit to God and renew their minds in the Word. Otherwise your illegitimate and an open tomb for demons. Who return making u 7x worse. Jesus puts His Spirit only in those born again by faith. From day one. He never leaves us as orphans with an empty temple. Believe Him.

Paul in this passage tells us that it is possible to receive another spirit
@@onesshot5818 The verse is in 2 Corith 11:4 and if you read the previous verse (3) you clearly see that Paul is talking about their minds being deceived.
Sometimes people can use the word "spirit" to mean attitude or disposition which I believe is the case here since that passage is about Paul's concern of their faithfulness to Christ and false prophets.

John speaks to us about the spirit of the antichrist that accompanies the false prophets and opposes it to the Spirit of God. This time, John uses the term 'Spirit of God,' which refers to the Holy Spirit. John makes us understand that behind false doctrines is the spirit of the antichrist.

Have you read that whole pericope, and come away thinking that the whole point of it is demons? Paul is rebuking the Corinthian church who are entertaining these “super apostles”, who are proclaiming a different gospel that does not save. His rebuke is that they are bearing beautifully with it, when it is ineffectual! Please do a word study on the word “spirit”. It does not always mean demon. Example Paul prays for the Ephesians that they would have the spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of Christ. Eph 1:17. He has already said that believers are sealed in Christ with the Holy Spirit of promise. So what is this “spirit” that Paul is praying for them to get from God.

I don't think your interpretation of 1 Samuel is correct. You say that the demonic spirit COULD enter Saul when the Holy Spirit left first. But that is not precisely what the text says. I think your interpretation is a reasonable assumption, but that is not precisely what the text says. The point of the text is that the Holy Spirit does leave, and a demonic spirit comes upon Saul. Therefore, to be accurate, exegetically, this verse, although supporting your argument, does not conclusively prove it.
In my early years, i knew some whacked people that saw demons, literally, everywhere. As people, who claimed to be saved, they were demon possessed, for real. The things i saw, as a young person, were definitely, spiritually, insane. And, they were pastors.
Demons have no boundaries, other than the ones we put up, via our relationship with God. If someone came to me to be set free of something, completely lacking self control, my first assumption is, they are not saved and need deliverance. Freedom becomes the priority, not whether they are saved. Jesus cast demons out prior to asking a demoniac to follow Him. There is a balance to all of this. Demons are not everywhere, in everything, but they are around doing stuff. We need to be aware, and discerning.
1 Cor. 6:17 says, the one who joins himself to the Lord is one spirit with HIM.

Corey, you took the words out of my mouth. These ministers always have plenty of stories. My first church was like that...Bible study consisted of listening to Hagin, Price and a crazy sounding guy named Dave Robison. Stories about their lives, usually without scripture, or taken out of context.
Corey, it's advised not to rely on personal experiences, especially when it comes to encounters with God. However, if someone claims to have seen, spoken to, or been possessed by a demon, there's no need to test the spirit because it's already clear it's a demon. The danger is that a demon could disguise itself as an angel of light.

You think the word of God is old. And Isaiah doesn't prove that a Christian can have a demon. Nor does it prove this guy (prince) biblical teachings are true.

I have witnessed many Christians with demons, and seen examples of the demons returning with seven more worse. These people still believe they are Christians.

@@926paaja Everyone says it's impossible without having a clear verse, but the apostle Paul clearly tells people who had received the Spirit (the Holy Spirit) that they could receive another spirit. in 2 Corinthians 11 4 :
"For if someone comes to you and preaches a Jesus other than the Jesus we preached, or if you receive a different spirit from the Spirit you received, or a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it easily enough."
When I say this, people respond by saying, 'No, it's not a literal spirit,' but John tells us in 1 John 4 that behind false Jesus, there is the spirit of the antichrist. So yes, it is a real spirit.
@@onesshot5818 you are misinterpreting the scripture… that is literally about false teachers preaching a false gospel by a false spirit and you accepting that false spirits words not accepting as in it dwells in you… it means to believe .. for example; salvidar and Kathryn Krick and signirelli , they preach a different gospel a different Jesus and a different spirit and people accept it as truth .. if I listen to them and I am born again filled with the Holy Spirit and I don’t weigh what they are saying against scripture I believe what they are saying I accept their false spirit of a false gospel of a false Jesus and that can cause me to stumble or live in self made bondage and strongholds BUT it doesn’t mean I have a demon living in me or that I lost my salvation. It just means I believe a lie . That’s why they are sooooo dangerous. Study that scripture more! It is a fantastic passage. It is a warning for us NOT to fall for lies! The truth is You cannot be born again and demon possessed and you cannot lose salvation!!! Side note chapter 11 is super awesome read the true thing … through to 15… wow! So clear the ones teaching the lies are in for some serious trouble with god if they don’t repent

Mark 5:6 proves that a believer can have a demon. “When he saw Jesus from afar, he ran and worshiped Him”. (Mark 5:6-19) Unbelievers don’t worship God.

@@onesshot5818 when and where did I condemn the person? The passage in John 8 Is actually encouraging. And Matthew 17 the “little faith” Jesus is talking about is not about how much faith you have but who your faith is in, CHRIST.
