Reballing an SMC while Sick

In this video I show you how to properly apply new solder balls or reball an BGA (Ball Grid Array) SMC (System Management Controller) on an A1278 820-3115 MacBook Pro 13" 2012. This specific MacBook was having issues connecting our MageSafe to our SMC through the OneWire Circuit. Ultimately, the MacBook was power cycling at 5v 3v3 Power Regulator. There was a missing damaged pull up resistor the was causing the MacBook to boot loop. I don;t show that part in this video, but I do a decent job showing and explaining how to reball an SMC IC in the process. Please ignore the poor quality video and constant sniffling. I was finishing up the tail end of a sinus infection. Thanks for watching.

Pedro147 Thanks. Feeling much better now. Happy New Year to you as well. The stencil used in the video will also work with an 820-2879. You will have extra balls using this stencil, but you can pick them off. You can check the link in the description to purchase this stencil from Louis Rossmann. Best of luck with your repair.
