Hi, im having an issue, maybe u can help... when starting my iMac, i can hear the chime and then iMac restarts. Chime is heard again and then iMac restarts. This situation repeats over and over, it cant boot normally neither with the option button pressed! Any idea why?

I have an early 2008 iMac 24 inch and it gets very hot, I opened it up, cleaned it of dust but it still heats up, the temperature is now around 90 degrees celsius, according to Mac Fan Control it shows me the temperature of the GPU ATI Radeon HD 2600 Pro: about 90 degrees celsius, GPU Heatsink: about 77 degrees celsius, GPU Proximity: about 75 degrees celsius, can you please advise me what to replace? Today noviembre 1rst 2024 I change the capacitor, I found a replacement on a donor board, same capacitance and voltage. And for now it is working. The problem I has was when I was installing high sierra the machine turned off and on the screen apeared a label saying something occured due a hardware issue. Change the ram and the same result. After watching this video I replaced the capacitor and the macbook let me install the system. Until now it is working. I hope it keeps like now Thanks a Lot for your help

Does this model does not have pcie slot? Mine in 2015 27" HDD model, planning to upgrade to m.2 blade ssd, if the slot is there.

I do have a question though, i have a similar 27inch late 2009,i managed to upgrade it to high sierra and sudenly the screen went black. Now when i turn it on, no starting chime and still black screen. It seems to do something inside but i dont know what it is, any thoughts?

Hi! I have a 27" 2011 imac. When i got it the PSU fail, i repair it, now he booting but no "boing" sound and fan get at max speed (no HDD installed yet and screen not installed). GPU faillure can prevent to have "boing" sound? I have only LED 1 and LED 2 on. LED 3 and LED 4 is off. I don't know what i need to do now :/ Thank you!

my dad's iPod also has a bad port. It looks like a bunch of the pins have been smooshed but I haven't opened it yet to see the extent of the damage. Reeeeaaally hoping it's not too bad. This is stellar stuff though

Thank you sir, I have a1466 macbook and little water damage and immediatley shut down the pc and wait closed 3 days. Then opened and saw D7701, L7701 occidated and XW7720 button burned. Other every thing is fine (capasitors C7796,C7797,C7799 and U7701 IC etc. no damage or occidation). There is no backlight like your video. I am concern about to fix burned and rusty XW7720. You did new wire line but i dont understan where it starts and where it stop (you scratched somewhere and made a wire line). May i ask how works D7701------XW7720------L7701 connection?
