The totk main theme makes me cry Everytime I hear it. Especially this orchestra version. It makes me so emotional. It feels like hope, adventure, wonder, sadness at the same time. Totk came out 8 days after my dad died. I think I've attached that to totk too.
Breath of the Wild’s theme has a more nostalgic factor for me, especially since it’s the game that reinvigorated my love back into the franchise. But Tears of the Kingdom’s theme has a sense of epicness that the Breath of the Wild theme doesn’t
Ty for the reaction! I performed in Symphony of the Goddesses twice when it was touring, and I arrange a lot of video game music for large ensembles. I recommend you look up the Zelda Symphony concert in 2018 (same conductor) and the Zelda Symphony from Nintendo Live 2023. The arrangements from those shows (very excellent btw) were re-used in this performance.
I love all the songs from this concert, but my favorite has to be the Link's Awakening medley. Tal Tal Heights and the Ballad of the Wind Fish get me every time, man.

I adored this concert. For me that BOTW trailer theme is associated with so many positive feelings that it holds pride of place. I love them all but BOTW got me back into gaming.
I noticed they only played music from Zelda games available on Switch: BOTW, TOTK, SS, LA, and NSO retro games like TLOZ, ALTTP and OOT! That's probably why there aren't any WW or TP songs.
The concert honestly just made we want them to include Age of Calamity music in future concerts. Especially if it was a BotW centric concert where you got music from BotW, AoC, and TotK. Imagine a brand new piece of music that incorporates each game's main theme, but also includes new transition music to blend them together. Or going from any of the Champion themes in BotW to the truly epic versions of them in AoC.
Loved this zelda concert. The botw presentation theme is so iconic also it's nice to see ocarina of time kaikarako village theme. I only wish they would have played twilight princess lake hylia theme.
Unrelated to the beautiful concert but one of the next zelda games should be titled The King of Thieves, featuring the first Ganondorf 1000 after Skyward Sword before he became aware that he was a candidate for Demsie. A young boy who's prince of The Gerudo, his rise to power, and his fall to darkness, from the suffering in his own tribe, and the darkness beneath Hyrule, his greed and lust for power grows and he soon accepts the power of Demise and attracts the Tri-force of Power. Towards the end of the game he faces off against Link. Though what I have written is in more detail. These are just my thoughts if any game designer ever see's it, it'll have Shadow vs Sonic vibes and Link is no where near losing in this game, or is he? How it goes is a script I have written, maybe one day it'll turn into something real
The sweeping theme of Breath of the Wild is magical, but I do prefer the Tears of the Kingdom theme. I always felt the saxophone solo represented the creative freedom of the player in that game. I would love to hear all of this live again!
I wonder which orchestra this is. The Tokyo Philharmonic Symphony or the Japan Century Symphony. Its nice to hear Ocarina, Sky, ALttP, Awakening and Breath each at the forefront. Disappointed with the lack of Majora, Twilight and Wind representation. Oh well can't cover everything. Hopefully ZREO's second quest fills that void and gets to some of the games they left out in their crowdfunded series.

It was a good orchestra, but it feels lackluster in the end, even the band players felt like “is there more to it?” My favorite track from the performance is Zelda’s lullaby. It’s like a good lo-fi performance to watch. Might be biased but I think Distant Worlds for Final Fantasy does better orchestra-wise with their performances. I know later this year I’ll be watching the Sonic concert

Ballad of the goddess always gives me goosebumps. Skyward Sword was my first Zelda game and every time I hear it, it brings back so many memories.
