What a fascinating look at this business. This is really the pinnacle of 'pre-loved', but he clearly just moves product, takes his cut and on to the next one. It's more fun than Christies or Sothebys as well!

I’m always impressed at how these store owners have thousands of pieces and can for the most part rattle off the prices from memory, especially when it comes to the watch stores where to a layman they all look so similar
You guys should go to more luxury stores like this around the world. I’d love to see you guys go to New York and visit Saks fifth ave, or go to Paris shopping district or anywhere really. This channel could open up so many more avenues of luxury items and stores.

For travelling internationally: have some pictures on your phone that proves that the watch was bought in your country. To not bring the papers or boxes or several watches (because if there is the slightest doubt you may sell them, they will make you pay import taxes and a fine because you have not declared them). Beware of watches with exotic animal straps as it may be removed and seized. Be aware that travelling within Europe, you are changing countries (different import taxes and regulations).
These apply to watches you carry right? What about those worn? Let’s say you have 5 watches and your other 4 family members wear them. Will you get stopped?
@@connormcchicken5915 Especially if you wear them because that's the obvious trick that people use (wear the watch you intend to sell and have the box+papers sent later by courrier). Your risk to be stopped will only depend on the appreciation the customer officer has on you. Nothing new here.

Last year gold and beyond said they can buy my explorer ii polar for $4000 because thats how much “gray market wholesale” value is. Meanwhile they were selling scrambled naked older model sub with missing links for 15k. I think thats enough said about this place. Besides that, i am always excited to see michael’s new videos!
Yeah, $4k for a Rolex Polar II is a typical pawn shop offer for that watch. I sold mine on Chrono24 a few months ago for $10k. I wouldn’t buy or sell a damn thing here.

Michael is somewhat correct about customs, but you can register your watch with US Customs with its serial number before you leave the USA, so when you come back in the country they know you purchased it in the USA and not overseas.

Never buy your jewelry anywhere but a pawnshop. Jewelry store markup is insane. Also never pay full price at a pawn shop. Negotiate at least 10% off.
How much money do you have to lose and how many credit cards do you have to max out in a weekend in Vegas if you have to pawn a 48,000 bag to fly home? Michael is correct about customs but typically you can travel with four watches and customs will not stop you, I have travelled globally to several countries with no issues but have receipt pics saved on your phone.

Technically Michael is right but I have travelled the world with one or two watches and never had any questions. I think it's more likely that customs will ask questions if you have several watches without papers.
