i have a question DOBI is connected to your smart phone via Bluetooth and you will remote, and your smart phone also become the brain of DOBI?
I bought a DOBI Do you know if there is a way to program him with a pc app. Do you know what kind of servos it has. I want to customize mine but can’t find the servo cable that fit the servos.

Hello Kahn always watch your videos! keep up the good work. Looking for a starter Robot I can program using Python or blockly, java maybe? Is there any software that comes with this unit to program the robot? I'm also looking at expanding voice recognition if possible with Dobi Thanks for your response!
+hector bombino thanks!!! I haven't really opened Dobi up and the software is just through the phone. You should look into JD, Bioloid or bolide I'd say.
went ahead and placed my order with Tomtop for a Dobi to experiment with. I have looked into JD and Bioloid but at $1100 ? not sure I want to spend that sum for a fighting Robot, might as well wait for a cloud based Robot that can respond to commands and search for answers to questions. Thanks!

Thank you for this lovely video. Zoomer Chimp is my first robot, it'll arrive in a few days. But...I have to say this robot may be my second robot. I really wanted the one with AmazonAlexa integration, buuuut the integration doesn't seem that well made and its walking is a bit primitive. This robot feels more natural, without spending the money for Nao.
Good choice! Nao can be found cheap on the second hand market.
Ha! You mention "second hand" because Nao often breaks his second hand when he falls over. Hahaha. I'm easily entertained. But the Dobi is all over ebay right now. Is your Dobi for sale by any chance? I'm hoping to pay exactly $260.00. We'll see how it goes. Maybe I can find one with a few dents in it.

I am super excited at how many (and how fast) of these keep coming out right one top of each other. So far, my Cozmo is still on the forefront of 'toy' robots in that it's still comparable intelligence wise. But if I didn't have him, it would be a toss-up between Cozmo and this Dobi bloke. I think Cozmo *might* take the edge just because I like that Cozmo has more of a personality and sense of humor to him which I adore and makes me want to take him out still a few days a week. But I really would like a 'walking' robot like Dobi in the future. Maybe if his price gets to the $100s...ever. Heh. ETA: Oh, and of *course!* I forgot to say, great review as always!

Hello Khan, Which robot do you like better, Dobi or Lynx Humanoid?
DOBI, Lynx is overpriced and his servos are really slow. Also it is Alexa and Lynx into once, so you have to talk to both at the same time... it’s confusing lol
Thanks my brother Khan, you're right about them being overpriced. And, I wouldn't want to talk to Lynx and Alexia at the same time. Both look great but, I'll wait on better humanoid robots to come out.Thanks again my brother.
Duane Pureheart I was wondering this myself. Thanks for asking this question. On the plus side for me as a blind user, I found the app for links very user-friendly, but I like a little autonomy for my money and links is basically a glorified puppet. And you’re right, you also have to tell Alexa to tell the links to perform whatever action. I need to try Dobi’s App out and see how it performs with voiceover.
