I am one of those people with an extremely short Revelry queue with only things I’ll realistically knit and I alter it accordingly. When I put a pattern in my queue I almost always have already gotten the yarn or I know what yarn I’m getting. The queue is for me just for the things I know I’ll knit and everything else goes in favourites if I want to remember it specifically. My queue is just 6 items long. I get how this won’t work for everyone, but for me the curating is part of the creative process.

every time you do these kinds of episodes my ravelry queue grows. I also am the kind of person who's ravelry queue just grows until i can't take it anymore. the problem is then trying to go through it and be ruthless.

I organize my Ravelry queue from time to time, I go into my queue and then the advanced search. After that I choose the categories - and browse the queue by cathegory. It makes it easier to narrow down the queue - since for instance I know I won't be making 20 garments for instance. I move those that I remove from my queue to one of my favorite bundles if I think I'll be wanting to re-visit the pattern somewhere down the road. I guess I do this a few times a year, since it's too easy to add to the queue!

    • @Voolenvine

As an alternative to your method - try the Addi Crasy Trios. Wonderful and no ladders! Have a good week. Looking forward to the full house tour please?? 😊🧶

Every December, I replenish a binder with patterns that I hope to cast on in the new knit year. Seeing as I am part raven, and the shiny generally draws my attention, very, little, gets cast on from that binder, every, year. I still do it 😂 ; it has become part of my holiday traditions. Also, confession: partially your glittery mention of your beaded Birkin has me half way through chart 2 of that beauty this week 😳 🤣 .... totally loving it. Happy to have my first go at using beads in knitting.

I bought a kit you did with Rosewater, History Bound, and Blood Moon in it and I was too late to get nouveau so I bought it on the footsie base and made a Dingley Dell Tee last year (this year?) and am totally happy with it! I even wore it again in my most recent podcast and talked more about it. Love it.

I recently discovered Yumiko Alexander and.... how have I not noticed her designs before? Maybe her designs felt too fancy for a stay at home mom, but I recently started working part time at a consignment shop and they're the perfect designs for dolling up a tank top and pair of jeans. And the loose gauge means a quicker knit and maybe a little more breezy for these hot summer days.

@@Voolenvine Very. If you use garter stitch instead of stockinette, you will avoid purling if u don't love it. But Stockinette looks great. For lace knitting, I use the Norwegian purl, for regular bit short-is/infrequent knits, I just use regular purl st, but for loooooong monsters like this, I find Russian/Eastern purling THE fastest (of course u just have to accept that knit sts will b twisted & must b knit from the middle.
