- Here is my first pattern round up!
I realized I had glaring gaps in my work wardrobe, and what better way to fill them than to start knitting some new items? To that end, this is my pattern round up; I hope I'll be able to cast on at least a few of these before the summer :)
Bundles below:

I like that you are showing us patterns from other that the mainstream designers . It is also nice to hear from people who have knit them
I appreciate you intentionally avoiding the "big designers". I love watching pattern inspiration videos, even if the patterns are not really targeted to someone like me, and I get frustrated with 5 patterns by 2 designers. I've definitely have saved a few of these to my Ravelry.
Glad you like them! Thank you so much for tuning in
I totally agree, it was great to see some other designers to get inspired by :D
Thank you for giving the spotlight to some lesser-known designers! I love looking for those gems that not everyone has done yet.
You are so welcome!
I love this lineup of designs that are office-friendly! Another that I think would work well is the Boston Cardigan by Ekaterina Vorobeva. I'm currently knitting it, and so far it is such a pleasure. This designer has several other patterns that would be lovely for the office!
I love how by avoiding the big designers we get more of a sense of your personal style!
Thank you for watching!
I love this because it’s not entirely “Hot Right Now”/trendy patterns. I lurk Ravelry daily and many of these are genuinely new to me! Love getting to know new-to-me designers ❤
So glad you enjoyed!
This video is exactly what I need and thank you for not showing the same few big designers. There are so many amazing designs out there 😂
Glad it was helpful!
This is a great list! I hadn’t seen many of them and really appreciate you selecting smaller designers.
Glad you like them!
Great patterns that I haven’t seen before.
Thanks for watching!
Great video! I appreciate that you went through them swiftly. Sometimes knitting plan videos spend a long time on each pattern, it's nice to just see the patterns and basic details
Glad it was helpful!
I loved the knits you picked out. Thank you so much. I'd love to see a similar video around winter knits for the work wardrobe.
Great idea! Will definitely start compiling ideas for that 😆
I am so glad I found your channel! I know I've made this comment before. Thank you for showing and talking about these other wonderful designers. I love their and (yours) sophisticated, different designs. I am so tired of round yoke colorwork sweaters, I could just ..... I am inspired! I have been feeling like I had to quit other channels and go it alone. Not now that I found your channel. Hope you keep sharing your great taste.
Thank you for your comment! It means a lot. So happy I could inspire you. Happy knitting!
This was an awesome round up. Yes please to more videos like this.
Thank you for watching!
the "oh worked bottom up" is a mood lol. but i added a bunch to my ravelry list!
🤣🤣🤣 such a mood, although to be fair I just knit the Folklore cardigan bottom up and it wasn’t as daunting as I feared!
I was searching for knits I could do for my office wardrobe, thank you for this round up!!
You are so welcome!
Love love love! And so appreciate a round up of work knitwear - it is certainly a hole in my wardrobe. Thank you!
You are so welcome!
So happy the algorithm gods brought me to your channel. I put about half of these on my favorites list - really lovely designs that I had not seen before! Hällevik, Loop, Mesh, Ridge: I want to knit them all.
So happy you liked them!!
Love you focusing on smaller designers so much!!!
Glad you enjoyed it!
I’m not usually a lover of pattern roundup videos but I thought yours was useful with a nice selection of patterns with a niche that hadn’t been filled
Thank you! I’m so glad it was helpful!
I really like your aesthetic. Thank you for doing all the hard work for us!
You are so welcome!
Lovely podcast thank you 🙏 😊 especially like looking at lesser known designers & the way you keep the photos up on screen for a longer time 👍😊🩵
Thank you so much for watching!
I really enjoyed this roundup, especially since you highlighted some lesser known designers.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Lover your selections
Thank you!
Starry Night is giving Chanel vibes❤
I know right? It’s beautiful
Love the podcast. Your thoughtfulness on putting together the pattern selection is just what we need as knitters. ❤ thanks 😊
You are so welcome!
I really enjoy all of this showing round ups the seasons and I love your style yes appropriate elegant but still casual. It’s great showing others out there. Thank you so much.
Thank you for watching!
Thanks for your suggestions! I like your way of presenting things and coming to the point 😊
My pleasure 😊
Thank you for this office-appropriate knits round-up! I live in a hot climate with constantly working ACs and wear many knitted garments at work. Will definitely dive into some of your suggestions!
I feel you - the aggressive office AC is really out of control around here. It feels colder than actual winter sometimes
Thank you for a professional and interesting video. I appreciated your choices, beautiful patterns that I have not seen before. Love that your video showed me patterns that I would not have found on my own.
You are so welcome! Thank you for tuning in
This is exactly what I’ve been looking for! I have plenty of sweaters for winter office wear but nothing for spring/summer. I work in an old building that gets very VERY hot in the summer and it’s always a challenge to find things to wear! What a perfect pattern roundup!
You're so welcome! I’m glad it was helpful
So glad to see a range of patterns for summer that aren't skimpy vest tops thank you! Now subscribed 🙌
Welcome! And thank you for watching!
such a lovely variety. Thank you
You are so welcome!
LOVE having situation specific pattern suggestions. I’m so impatient when it comes to scrolling through ravelry so I really rely on videos like these for new projects
I'm so glad it was helpful!
I love your style and would appreciate seeing more of these types of videos!
Just published another one!
So glad I found your channel! Thanks for showcasing some beautiful, lesser-known patterns and designers.
You are so welcome!
This is a great pattern roundup, I really enjoyed seeing the ones you highlighted. Great video, thanks
You are so welcome!
Such a wonderful selection of lesser known designers! I can’t wait to get started! Thank you!☺️
You are so welcome!
Loved this Japanese vibe and I’ve already saved for future projects some of the pattern you selected ❤ thanks for sharing them!!
You are so welcome!
Simplemente MA RA VI LLO SO !!!!!!!!
Gracias!
New here! I like the tied loops, mellow puff, and hatsuki a lot ❤
Thanks for watching!
Thank you sm for this video! I am starting my office job this summer and dont wanna miss out on my beloved knitwear then so i appreciate this roundup sm! Especially that youre intentionally mentioning patterns from smaller designers is so welcome!
You're so welcome! Thank you for tuning in :)
Oohhh, I loved this video! ❤ Both focussing on office wear and showcasing smaller designers - amazing, I have saved a couple and would love more of such videos! 😊👏👏
So glad you enjoyed!
Thanks for this compilation. I appreciate discovering designers i may not have seen yet. One designer I'm currently enjoying is Elsebethjudith. She has a technique for creating raglan shoulders without all the underarm bulk. Her patterns are simple, classic & elegant and seem to work for all ages.
Oh thanks for the tip! I’ll check her out
I truly enjoyed your selections. I also want to knit wear worthy garments. Great ideas!!! I will steal a few. Thanks again.
You are so welcome!
your video captures the exact office style I'm trying to capture! Thank you for making this video! I added so many of these to my Ravelry favorites and even had a few of these already in my favorites. Huge fan of Irene Lin
Glad it was helpful!
I loved this video. Great choices! Also, your eye makeup is gorgeous!
Thank you so much!! Makeup is another passion of mine, but it feels a lot less productive than knitting
Love love the suggestions !
Thank you!!
Thank you thank you thank you! Great selection and focus on office wear is refreshing and helpful to expand our wardrobe (especially for the frigid summer office environment 🥶)
Glad it was helpful!
Love your podcast! So happy to have discovered it! 🌸Lindsay
Thank you for watching!
Great video! Thanks for the pattern suggestions, I also work in an office that isn’t extremely formal and I found your pattern suggestions very helpful. It is always freezing in the summer!
Glad it was helpful!
I enjoyed watching this episode. Nice choices in pattern and some new designers to me!
Thanks for watching!
Really loved this round up!! Gorgeous, practical patterns. I'd love to wear my knitwear to the office. Maybe I will soon! Very inspired. 😊
Go for it! Pretty knits deserve to be worn!
How funny to watch this while I'm knitting the Darjeeling top myself! You can easily change the length of it and the pattern has 3 lengths options included and is super well written.
One of my favourite office appropriate summer top patterns is the Umbria top. I think it's categorised as a cardigan so it doesn't come up in ravelry searches for this kind of top and so it doesn't get much attention but it looks so good
Oh that’s a really great suggestion! I eyed that one too but haven’t seen it get much airtime. Have you knitted that pattern?
So happy to have discovered you!
Thank you for watching!
I just found your channel and subscribed! I love pattern round up videos so keep on making them:)
I’ve had the Rota tank in my ravelry shopping cart since the end of last summer. I do like the Rota you showed as well and added several of the patterns in your round up to my favorites. I can’t believe that Hallevik is free!
Thanks for subbing! Let me know if you knit the Rota top. The Hallevik is so dreamy- I just need to find the right yarn for it
I’m a new Knitter, but I’m a visual learner so if you ever do any tutorials, I would love to learn from you
Stay tuned! I’m planning my future videos and I may throw some tutorials in there too
Ooh the Marigold Tee would look great in silver or any shiny color. Dressy! … or for summer in a pale yellow or beige.
I totally agree!
fantastic content! Thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it!
I really love your pattern ideas that I would never have found myself. I would love to see more about japanese designs and style. Thanks for this lovely video.
Yay, thank you! I considered doing a Japanese designer round up so maybe that’ll be my next project
This was inspiring, thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Hatsuki !!! I’m in love and have some linen quill hanging out without a pre planned purpose.
Yess, I bet it would look great knit up in Linen Quill!
Thank you so much for this! I really like office appropriate and less known designers so this was perfect for me. I'd love it if you do more round ups like this.
You're so welcome! I’m all for finding the lesser known gems so once I have critical mass again I’ll definitely post another similar video
ArtbySabra your name stood out for me. I have never seen or heard of anyone else with the name Sabra. It's my mom's name. Sorry I just had to share ❤❤
@@jerriecook6908oh that's so nice to hear! I've never met anyone with the same name either. Can I ask where your mom's name is from?
Really interesting video. I liked the polished but modern look of these patterns. Thank you! On my way to add the Mellow Puff and the Hatsuki tops as well as the Audrey jacket and Max cardigan to my Ravelry bundles.
You are so welcome! Thanks for watching 😆
uuu nice idea with japanise creators! really loved couple of them!
Yay, thank you!
I've made the Daft Days cardigan and it's great! We have pretty different aesthetics, but I appreciate your perspective! Thanks!
Thank you for watching!
Do more videos like this! I like the popular designers but I love seeing these designers I’m not familiar with. Lots of new favorites in my Ravelry!
You got it! More to come once I collect some more 😁
This was a great topic- I watched while working on an office appropriate cardigan (Rebel by Ankestrick)! First time seeing you pop up in my feed and immediately subscribed!
Welcome aboard! I really like Ankestrick’s patterns too 😆
What a gorgeous collection of patterns and styles that are work appropriate I want to knit ALL of these! I work as a Doctor & Therapist so am always looking for work appropriate attire (though I love wild colours and patterns it isn’t always appropriate for work!) also in the uk we have the opposite that the heating is on 24/7 even in the height of summer hospitals are hot!! Am new subscriber thank you also for focussing on more Japanese and Asian knitwear designers because I am really drawn to their designs but hard to find as much of knit-tube and knitting on IG is scandi focussed! Grace x
You’re so welcome! I used to live in London and I remember those hot hot offices 😅
I love the Japanese designers too, they have such a distinctive style!
Thanks this is a great roundup! Need more work appropriate handknits.
Thanks for watching! I’ve always got my eye out for more work stuff so once I’ve got critical mass again I’ll post more 👍🏻
A work from home list would be great too! My zoom meeting looks need a refresh 😂
Love it 🥰🥰🥰
Thank you! 🤗
Thank you for focusing on work wear.
You are so welcome!
Hello. Thank you for this nice video, and I really appreciate new ideas. I took a couple (or four) screenshot 😉
Glad it was helpful!
I love your selection. Thank you for sharing! Subscribing now. I am glad I found you. 😊
Thanks for subbing!
Thanks for subbing!
Yes, I like this video and also have holes in my closet that I would love to fill with my handmade items. And hello, and hop you are well.
Thank you for watching, and you too! Happy knitting!
Thank you for this video!! Added so many of these to my Ravlery favourites. I was happy to see many designers I am not already familiar with. Consider me knitfluenced haha.
I would love another office inspired roundup for fall/winter.
Wonderful! And thank you for watching 😆
Nice podcast!
Glad you enjoy it!
Love the video and all the patterns because I was thinking about this as well, I knit very colourful pieces but cannot wear them to work, they are either too colorful, too shear, too "handmade"😅
I’m so glad it was helpful, thank you for tuning in! I love bright colors too so I feel you 😅
Loved the video and the lineup! I know its more work for you, but would you mind putting ravelry links to the patterns or a bundle containing them in the future?
Great idea! In fact I’m going to edit this video description if I can to do just that, if you save it down it should be edited in the next few days
I'm currently working on the Ridge Tee, and it's beautiful but I didn't know before I began that it is entirely 1x1 half twisted rib and reverse stockinette!
I’m going to cast it on soon too - thanks for the heads up!
@@easilyknitfluenced I'm working on it and it's not bad, but I will say that I find the arm measurement to be disproportionately small compared to the bust measurement. I chose a size with 5" of positive ease in the bust, and it has over 4" of negative ease in the arm. I had to do a lot of extra increases and cast on more stitches in the underarm to correct it.
You are my people! Everyday and office wear casual made by me. 😊
Welcome! And hope the video was helpful!
I made the starry night jacket! It’s very cool. I liked it because it was a bomber look. I consider it one of my more casual knits because of that, but I don’t tend to dress very business formal. Buttoned up definitely transforms it and I think color choice plays a big role too.
For anyone interested in making this- the video examples have Korean language on the bottom and no audio so I had to screenshot and use google translate 🫣. There are also some funky translation parts where I had to sort of pray and go forth. Read things very carefully and use the chart to guide you whenever possible. But overall a super fun make! I also am probably going to sew some extra fabric along the button bands because they do not want to stay in the yarn I used (Urth Harvest Worsted, 100% merino superwash).
Oh this is so helpful thank you!! It is so cool. What color did you choose?
@@easilyknitfluencedHappy to share! The color I used is called Black Grape. A burgundy color! Very cool look. I’m really happy with it.
Thank you for highlighting other designers. I'm now skipping videos that focus on PK. It would be helpful to have a link to a ravelry bundle to reference. Great Video!
Great suggestion! I’ll tidy up my ravelry a little and link in description
🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
😍😍
Hi! New here and I love it. Any chance you have a Ravelry notebook with these patterns linked? (Or do I need to re-watch and take some notes this time…?)
Great idea - I was actually going to edit the description to this video to include links for that. If you save it down it should be updated in the next few days ✌🏻
What yarn did you use for the tee you're wearing? It looks light & airy. Love it.
Thank you! I knit that in Knitting for Olive Pure Silk (single strand). It’s a light fingering and wasn’t kind to my hands but the final product was worth it 🤣
Women’s winter is coming! 🥶
😂😂😂 yes indeed!
Just finding you Thank you ❤
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the video, many interesting suggestions in there! I'm currently in a similar spot, trying to make more work appropriate summer knitwear. AC is not really a thing in Europe, especially not at uni where I work, so it can get really hot in the office🫠
Last year I made the moonflower tee by Ksenia Naidyon in a linen yarn and I really like it. I also bought the pattern for the tides loop tee but ended up not making it, because so many people on ravelry mentioned that the pattern had many errors. How was your experience with that pattern? :)
Thank you for tuning in! I don’t think I remember any big errors in the patterns, but it’s quite a laborious project because it’s in fingering weight yarn and does require quite a bit of purling (to get that wave pattern effect). That said, it’s a very unique top and I really love the look of it.
@@easilyknitfluenced Thanks for your reply! I might reconsider the pattern for this summer. :)
Argh! Now I have 3 more patterns in my queque.
😁😁😁
This is a serious question. I've been WFH for several years. What is inappropriate work wear? My understanding is that if you can wear it outside in public, it can be worn for work?
That’s a great question. I guess it depends on what industry you work in. I work in finance, and while the dress code isn’t very formal for women (ie no full suits required), there are general templates that most women tend to stick to. And I would say they’re a liiittle more dressed up than clothes I would wear on an average day out with my kids, for example. So I wouldn’t wear a cotton t shirt to work, but a short sleeved knit would work fine.
These are great patterns, especially the Rota Jumper. It's on my list. If you like Japanese culture and yarn, check out Seji Fields channel. She studied in Japan and knits a lot of Japanese patterns. Even though I don't speak Japanese, I listen to a lot of J-Pop.
Oh thank you for the recommendation! I just subscribed to her channel. She has some really interesting roundups too, I’ve been eyeing a few of these patterns already 😍 which artists do you like?
@@easilyknitfluenced Hikaru Utada, Gen Hoshino, Heartsdales (old I know 😄), Fujii Kaze, and many more.
@@QueensYarnBoutique I love Hikaru Utada too. I’ve been listening to her since I was in high school in Japan. Oldies are goodies for a reason 😆
Are there links to the patterns, or a bundle?
Added bundle links to the description!
@@easilyknitfluenced Thanks!
The Hallevik is not work appropriate along with the inlet. More casual after work wear.
Thanks for your feedback and for watching!
Not gonna lie, I really don’t like the Hällevik blouse. The back is phenomenal but the front view is giving nurse vibes… just my opinion of course, anyone can wear whatever they want!
I kind of see it tbh! 😂 but I don’t have a negative connotation to that necessarily, maybe because I’ve never worked in the medical field. Maybe color choice would make a difference?
@@easilyknitfluenced Possibly! And it will probably vary across body types and sizes too.
