Great to see someone mention Spazz, some really fun powerviolence. Also, love some Panopticon, if you guys check out more if his stuff I highly recommend Roads to the North. It’s a great display of Austin’s way of blending black/death/post metal with bluegrass/southern amaricana. Great video guys!
Necrotic Nick- Thanks, man! I do love powerviolence/ grind so that's right up my alley. Actually, Roads to the North is one that I do own and that album is amazing. I need more of their/ his stuff over all though. The dude is awesome at blending all those styles.
@@thrallsofmetal Dude amazes me how many different instruments he can play. Definitely check out Kentucky and Autumn Eternal, all 3 make kinda a loose trilogy of albums. The cds are pretty easy to find if you don’t mind not having original presses. Again, great job. I’m pretty new to y’all’s channel, looking forward to more content.
The Dillinger Escape Plan is up in my top 3 for metalcore bands of all time! Only behind As I Lay Dying and Trivium. DEP's albums are absolute bangers I wish they hadn't broken up. They're definitely awesome!
Since my college radio show is now on for 2 hours, I will be able to play long songs from Dream Theater and Opeth. Having a 2 hour show gives me more time to play awesome music. And more variety! Love both of these bands! Now's my chance to do so!
Angel Dust is 30 years old, and a modern classic. Faith No More was getting big off Epic and The Real Thing. They decide to do a very different type of record and it kicks ass. Mike Patton frankly sounds amazing today, but also did back in those days. The album actually went Gold in the US, but that was a far cry from what The Real Thing moved. Great album and I love these videos Thralls \m/ \m/
I'm with you on Moving Pictures > Permanent Waves. Moving Pictures is a perfect album to me and my personal favorite from Rush, although Permanent Waves is a extremely close second. There's also a lot of albums I need to give a listen.
What Nick said about The Rolling Stones, Some Girls is a better album than Aftermath, but I love Sticky Fingers and Let It Bleed more. Some Girls is fantastic, it really is, but Sticky Fingers and Let It Bleed are fantastic as well! These 3 are in my top 3 for Rolling Stones albums!
I played Celtic Frost's Sorrows of the Moon, which is off of Into the Pandemonium on my college radio show! I was doing Goth Hour. I actually played this over the summer when my mom and I would be out in the backyard with our small pool when I was on hiatus from the radio show due to COVID. Decided to play this for her to hear this playlist before I go back on the radio. I decided to combine goth rock and metal because it's a good idea to mix them both up together and have a variety of music, which is awesome. So, I decided to put some metal on the show because there is a gothic scene in metal as well, not just rock! The Cure and Bauhaus are responsible for influencing some of these metal bands! Gothic metal wouldn't have existed without The Cure and Bauhaus. Plus, Celtic Frost front man Tom Warrior said that he and Martin Ain liked new wave as well as metal. I like this show personally, so I kept it and I play this whenever my mom and I go out to the pool in the backyard during the summer. Oh and I also had Mercyful Fate on the playlist as well.
The toughest for me was: Blood Fire Death vs. Anthems To The Welkin At Dusk, although I ended up agreeing with you guys on Bathory. & Reign In Blood vs. Pleasure To Kill, and again I had to agree with the consensus. RIB is just such a historical classic, but Pleasure To Kill can definitely hold its own in a brutal pit fight to the death. Shredlord should definitely give Clandenstein a few listens. It's right up there with Left Hand Path, just maybe a hair less iconic. There is a reissue of Clandenstine out there with a live dvd included that I've had my eye on. I used to have an early Earache live cd of Entombed (forget the title, something like monkeypus or some such shite) that was really great and had a set split equally between Left Hand Path & Clandestine.
Necrotic Nick- Those were all tough choices especially Blood Fire Death vs Welkin. Those are both incredible. Eventually we’re going to do an Entombed (and probably include Entombed AD) ranking in the future so he’ll get his chance on that one. I love that album but Left Hand Path is my go to.
Damn, Not a lot of love for Fates Warning. I think those 2 albums (Spectre And Awaken) are better than pretty much Anything Iron Maiden has ever put out. And lot of those selections I put up I’d choose the former over the latter; Though I wished I finalized those choices a lot better. All in All, great video. Looking forward to pt. 3. Also, I suggest checking out The Garden of Unearthly Delights by Cathedral. It’s Heavy as Fuck, Lee Dorian’s vocals Are less Bizarre compare to the 90s stuff, but just as incredible; And the songs take a lot of interesting twist and turns that you may find rewarding (especially The Garden, that song’s a fuckin’ trip).
Great to see the almighty fishbone represented in there I have had the opportunity of opening for fishbone twice and meeting them five times Norwood Fisher is a legend on bass.
Necrotic Nick- I'm a giant Fishbone fan. I love their unique approach and how they simply bucked every genre they could just to make something wildly different. Reality of my Surroundings would have won this one too.

I'll jam to The Black Album personally! My dad show Metallica live on the Black Album tour in 1991! I thought it was a fantastic album! My third favorite Metallica album!
Hey, the guitars on those two Forbidden albums absolutely shred and the vocals soar. I prefer Forbidden evil. It's a bit more raw. Gotta check those out. Omega Wave also has a few great tracks. You can skip the rest of their stuff.
Necrotic Nick- I love Forbidden Evil but I liked the more dynamic songwriting in Twisted Into Form. I didn’t like the turn to more harsh vocals on Omega Wave but I haven’t jammed it in awhile so I may need to return to it.

Okay, guess that was too easy for you guys... next time😉 I thought you may get a bit deeper in some of these over all. For example, i grew up on pleasure to kill and for years that was my go to Album by kreator... checking their catalogue years, decades later, cause i was deep into hc punk, for more than 25 years i didnt care about metal, i found that cause for conflict is an amazing album. The drumming is incredible, not bashing on ventor, but that brought something new into their Sound for me.. btw im out after violent Revolution and dont like their wacken metal on the last releases at all.. So okay, now i know... next time i hope to find something mean for you to chose😉👍great show as always

Gotta go for Clandestine over Left Hand Path, LHP is a Classic but for me the songwriting was better on Clandestine.. I always loved that little sample in the middle of Living Dead where it says 'there is no other God, Satan Killed him! Lol
i prefer Left Hand Path but it's clear to me that Clandestine is objectvly a better album objectively, there's real songwriting on Clandestine as Left Hand Path i pretty much a punk album with death metal riffs

We are loosing german subscribers :) These "amercian big 4 vs german big 4" was really great idea, but it could be more interesting with another album vs album. For example : "Seasons in the abyss" vs "Coma of souls" - for me this is choice that I just cannot make without "hurting" another album. Inpossible for me to choose between these two. And for You, dear Thralls ? "Show no mercy" vs "Endless pain" - really hard choice for me ! And for You, dear Thralls ? "Ride the lightning" vs "Agent Orange" And for You, dear Thralls ? "State of euphoria" vs "Pleasure to kill" And for You, dear Thralls ? "Fell the fire" vs "Release from agony" And for You, dear Thralls ? "Persistence of time" vs "Extreme aggression" If You read this comment, please write Your choices...
Necrotic Nick- I love both albums but I've been listening to that Type O (and Type O in general) for so much longer that all their albums are ingrained in my DNA at this point. Paradise Lost is wonderful though.

(October Rust wins by a, "Green Man.")
I'd like to see King Diamond Abigail vs Iron Maiden Powerslave
Shredders reminds me of the late legend Chris Farley.
I'm hoping you guys do round 3.
Necrotic Nick- We might. If anything I may do a video covering the remainder on my own because we’ve got a lot of other projects going on right now n
Grave: Into the Grave or You’ll Never See?
I’m with Nick on Ministry Vs NIN.
Do you gentlemen perform the theme song?????
15:59 BENEATH THE REMAINS - Arise (song) was a leftover from BtR . You strike Desperate Cry and Dead Embryonic cells (and maybe Altered State and Under Siege) and what are you left with ?
I N F E C T E D V O I C E!!!
I admit Subtraction and Meaningless Movements aren't that amazing, but Murder and Infected Voice are fucking great!
We want more metal games 🤘🖤
I mean "Master of puppets" is great album but " Ride the lightning" Kicks Ass
I think you guys need to spend more time with those Cryptopsy albums that keep losing their matchups 😁
Queen - A night at the opera or Queen- jazz
I thought shredlord likes the Beneath the Remains more than Arise cause he ranked it above Arise.
If there is a part 3
Clutch - self titled vs Clutch - blast tyrant
Primus - pork soda vs Primus - frizzle fry
TOOL - 10,000 days vs TOOL - lateralus
Nemesis - false reality vs Void - horrors of reality
Obituary - cause of death vs Pantera - far beyond driven
I’ll never be able to pronounce Clandestine ever again 😂😂😂
We unfortunately have to say we don't know bean bong. But we are glad you like beans!
Necrotic Nick- They are the most musical of foods in a way. 😂
@@thrallsofmetal we just think they are the most brutal food. It rolls off the tongue brutal beany bois we are
Agent Orange... or M-16?
chaos a.d. better than arise???? r u serious
It would be fun listening to y'all roast cringe album covers.
Necrotic Nick- Oddly enough, I've actually thought about it since there's a tone of bad album art out there begging to be trolled. lol
Angel Dust should’ve been an automatic anonymous decision IMO!
Necrotic Nick- It's one of the finest albums of the 90's across the board for me.
Vore - Gravehammer vs. Dodecahedron - kwintessens
Angel dust could be the only record ln the collection, and you've made it. can you do a faith no more ranking please.
lm not bothered with anthrax neither, shredlord.
Green Jello's Cereal Killer vs GWAR's America Must Be Destroyed
We are loosing german subscribers :)
These "amercian big 4 vs german big 4" was really great idea, but it could be more interesting with another album vs album. For example :
"Seasons in the abyss" vs "Coma of souls" - for me this is choice that I just cannot make without "hurting" another album.
"Persistence of time" vs "Extreme aggression"
If You read this comment, please write Your choices...
Necrotic Nick- For me I'd go with Seasons in the Abyss, Show No Mercy, Agent Orange, Pleasure to Kill, Feel the Fire and Extreme Aggression on these.
Wormrot is from Singapore
Please review the Strapping Young Lad albums
You should do a song vs song video
Necrotic Nick- We might have to do that for a specific band so it doesn't get too crazy.
Deicide's Stench vs. that VR album? That shit is just WRONG. :D Love them both....gotta give Deicide the edge there.
Necrotic Nick- That one was really tough and honestly I almost went Deicide but Dechristianize is such a beast of an album.
Portal = death metal recorded through a CB radio mixed with a vacuum cleaner
I like the Type O album but cmon Draconian Times is easily better.
Necrotic Nick- I love both albums but I've been listening to that Type O (and Type O in general) for so much longer that all their albums are ingrained in my DNA at this point. Paradise Lost is wonderful though.
Awesome show
Necrotic Nick- Thanks, man! Glad you dig it!
U guys should do another album vs album or another band vs band it's been awhile
Necrotic Nick- We're toying with that idea but we're going to put a particular spin on it just to make it different.
@Thralls Of Metal awesome look forward to it
Hi, do you guys know of any bands that have lyrics about dragon magick? Thanks, just looking for ideas. I know that Keep of Kalessin is one.
Necrotic Nick- Not off hand but that Keep of Kalessin release is a solid one.
@@thrallsofmetal Same, love Reptilian.
Rush's Moving Pictures vs Queensryche's Empire
awsome vid guys keep it up
Necrotic Nick- Thanks, man!
