    Lyrics
    We'll meet again,
Don't know where, don't know when,
But I know we'll meet again
    Some sunny day.
    Keep smiling through,
    Just like you always do,
'Till the blue skies drive the dark clouds far away.So will you please say hello
To the folks that I know,
Tell them I won't be long.
    They'll be happy to know
That as you saw me go,
    I was singing this song
    We'll meet again,
    Don't know where,
    Don't know when,
But I know we'll meet again,
    Some sunny day.We'll meet again,
Don't know where, don't know when,
But I know we'll meet again
    Some sunny day.
    Keep smiling through,
    Just like you always do,
'Till the blue skies drive the dark clouds far away.
So will you please say hello
To the folks that I know,
Tell them I won't be long.
    They'll be happy to know
That as you saw me go,
    I was singing this song.
    We'll meet again,
Don't know where, don't know when,
But I know we'll meet again,
    Some sunny day.

@@apeloyalist9821 Keith is right. That was a time when men were men, women were women and the greatest generation of all the Allies was fighting an evil so deadly that it threatened the whole world. Now, at least in the US, feeling patriotic like this is frowned on and highly discouraged. This was a time when there was patriotism and honor still left in my country but is is fast being eroded by a social disease far worse than any cancer ever could. What the men and women of that era gave this world will soon be gone as they one by one leave us.

I just showed this video to my 97 year old neighbour, who was in the Canadian Navy during the war. Of course she remembered it. She started singing along, and tears came into her old eyes. She was 19 in 1943, fell in love with a sailor, and this was their song. It was very touching to watch her remember.

My great grandfather on my mother's side was a Canadian soldier during WW2. Served in the 7th infantry division from 1942 to 1945, stormed Juno Beach, was shot three times on that beach, barely survived and rejoined his unit once he was strong enough to pick up his rifle. He fought until the war ended and when he came home, the first thing he did was dance with my great grandmother to this song. I remember him asking to have this song play while he laid on his deathbed. This song makes me both sad and happy. Sad because it is a beautiful and powerful song, but it reminds me of a truly great man that I wish I knew better. But, it makes me happy because I know why he wanted to have it play when he passed. He wanted it to play, because he wanted to remember and relive the moments he had with his wife and with the men he served with.
Thank you Great Grandpa for fighting so I could be who I am today. Rest In Peace.

Some of his stories were horrific, romantic and truly British, used to tear up when he was talking about the friends he lost, as much as I slightly hesitated, he insisted. Sadly he has passed away now, but plane his friend flew was on display at Duxford for some time.

Beautiful. This made me burst into tears remembering my grandmother who welded landing gear on P-51's in Inglewood, CA. I was lucky enough to visit this air museum a few years ago. Salute to the Greatest Generation. Much love from the USA.
