It had all the Rap/ Hip Hop aspects that I love with the great theatrics, performance and Instrumental of The form of Metal that I am coming to Enjoy. My favorites are Pa Pa Ya, Headbanger (do it live, Legend of 1997 is a great one), Da Da Dance, Iine (iine, not line), and Shanti Shanti. Karate is another one really worth checking out.
If you're interested in another band recommendation I suggest Bloodywood, they're an Indian Folk Metal band. Ari Ari, Jee Veerey, Machi Basad, Endurant, Yaad, and Gaddar (their latest) are their best stuff.

Ah that was an amazing reaction. I desperately want to see this performed live, ideally in a smaller venue. Based on fancams I've seen, it hits like a freight train in that environment.
Here's what I'd recommend you do next:
    1. "Pa Pa Ya" features Thai rapper F. Hero. I guarantee you'll love this one
    2. Specifically the official music video for "Iine!" (that first letter is an i, not an l). One of their oldest videos, real blast from the past.
    3. "Headbanger" is one of the most popular tracks among fans, and my personal favourite. the live version from the "Legend 1997" concert is one of the best videos of a Babymetal performances, period
    4. Onedari Daisakusen, ideally live at "Budokan Black Night"
If genre-busters in general are something you're keen on, then their third album (which BxMxC is from) has a lot of fun examples. In particular, I'd recommend these three:
    5. Shant Shanti Shanti
    6. Night Night Burn
    7. Da Da Dance
Enjoy your trip down the fox hole.

Great reaction. It looks like you have a lot of good suggestions for more songs to be going on with for now - we will add more whenever you need them.
I have 'borrowed' this information (again), I suspect this will surprise you -
"They talked about 'BxMxC' in a recent interview.
SU-METAL: That was my first rap experience. For most of my recordings up until now, I would sing “la la laa” to create a sort of vocal line, and then lyric writing began based on that.
(Typical J-Pop recording has the session singer record demo vocals once the arrangement, lyrics and melody are finished. Then the group uses that demo as a guide to do their recording. BABYMETAL doesn’t record in the J-pop style, they do it like a rockband.)
SU-METAL: But it was different for this track, they had a backing track and lyrics, and then told me to try rapping. So at first I was still trying to figure it out. In hiphop they call it…it was like…ah, I forget!
    MOAMETAL: Wasn’t it…f-…fall?
    SU-METAL: Uh…what was it…
KOBAMETAL (who happened to be there): Flow?
SU-METAL: Flow! (laughs) To get a feel for the flow, I made a lot of different attempts to figure out what would be good. Like how to descend and ascend in pitch, and which timing would be the best to try the pitch changes. Even for the same phrase I’d try going a little ahead of the beat or a little bit behind it, while keeping the whole track’s balance in mind."

Great & thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。Su-Metal is singing about some established style which used to be revolutionary and literally "stylish" but has turned already hackneyed or obsolete like a "Rusted Chain". Lyrics are suggesting some kind of breakthrough or changes of the status-quo (including the notion of BM itself). When I heard the studio version of BxMxC, I was skeptical that this challenging song would be played live on stage. But they did it flawlessly with clear vocal and sharp choreo. They are great !!

At this point, I wouldn't put any money on betting that there's anything Su can't do.
Either in the studio or live.
The song title probably stands for "BABY METAL Cypher", or "BABYMETAL Metal Cypher".
They say "Tekina Metaru Saifa" (Metal Cypher like) several times in the song.
However, until there is official confirmation, I'm still going with "Bring Moa Chicken".

Moa: Hungry! I need fried chickens.

Yet another genre of music Babymetal dips their toes into. This was Su-metal's first time rapping, and I think she pulled it off, lol. There are a couple other songs that have a more rap-metal style, but those are done by the sub-unit of Babymetal called Black Babymetal, which is when Moametal and Yuimetal perform as a duo without Su. I'd suggest the songs Onedari Daisakusen (Operation: Beg dad for it), and GJ.

I must have seen this live performance a hundred times now and it still blows me away. When I first saw the Official MV for BxMxC I thought Babymetal had finally "Jumped the Shark" (sorry for the obscure Happy Days reference, but many people will know what I mean). I thought that Babymetal had finally done something so far from their base style that they would never be able to perform it live to their usual incredible standards.
How wrong was I? Not only has Babymetal met their usual live standards, but they have significantly raised the bar. If you are looking for a direction for Babymetal's next studio album and ongoing dynamic we may have been given some hints with Pa Pa Ya and BMC mixing hip hop and rap with metal instrumentals.
BMC could also be used to tie in new 'lore' for the band with the 'C' for cypher (cipher) being used in computer terms, as it can refer to cypher query language; cypher can also mean a secret way of writing something, as in codes; cypher can be used in mathematics, as a mathematical element that when added to another number yields the same number; or, it could be used like in the movie The Matrix, where Cypher's purpose was to free human minds trapped within the Matrix.
I mean, even I could write lore out of that mix. If I could do it, just imagine what the Babymetal machine could come up with! But I digress haha.
Also, if you have made it this far and want to watch another band that mixed heavy metal and hip hop elements (amongst other styles), take a look at Rage In The Machine and their song "Killing In The Name Of". This song was in response to the brutal beating of of Rodney King by the police in LA in the early 1990s. An event that triggered the LA riots. Sadly, the song still resonates today. If you want to watch a video that makes you want to smash stuff, this should get you there.
Sorry, I have gone on too long. I like your reactions, keep up the good work.

As you are a drummer I seriously urge you to check out Fleshgod Apocalypse-The Violation. Even just from a drumming stand point alone its worth a watch. I hope you treat yourself to this masterclass in drumming ! As a bit of side info the drummer was self taught over 4 years to replace their old drummer ( I think ) either way it's impressive stuff and I look forward to seeing your face when you hear him play...trust me it's the most amazing drumming, skill & technique you will ever see !

Nice reaction. Yup no going to sleep after listening to Babymetal. Just think that this song was a bonus track on the 3rd album. Many folks thought Su wouldn't be able to sing this live since the album version has auto tune on it when she it's the high notes. I kind of feel like it was a trick. They knew she could do it. They unleashed this song live and blew the roof off the building. Babymetal knows how to make their fans really happy sometimes. Them doing this song live is one of them. It is better than the album version which you know usually isn't what happens. There are very few bands that sound better live than they do on the album. Babymetal consistently manage to do just that. Their sound engineers should get awards and bonus pay. Babymetal is an unreal group of amazing talent and skill. You can't just throw BMC at someone who's not ready for it. They might lose their mind. Time to go back to their first attempt at least a rap section in a song. iine, from their first album and one of their earliest songs. Not the first. That honor belongs to Doki Doki Morning. Enjoy the ride through the Babymetal galaxy of music.

@@JoJoLewis Yes bonus track. The other bonus track is BBAB. And to no surprise it's nothing like BMC or anything else they've done and yet retains that Babymetal sound. Truely amazing how they do that. Some kind of Kawaii magic.

I am not sure much about rap or hip-hop, but I think the way Su- sings in this song, is a little different from existing Japanese rapper. It's really "rap in Japanese". I also like this live video better than the music video. The lyrics in Japanese are also challenging and provocative, and I think they have a certain flavor. Thank you from Japan.
