Now and again 🙏 most of the buildings here in Haarlem (particularly the Grote Markt) date from the 14th century however there is a lot of newer architecture too which makes for interesting juxtapositions. 😊
@@relaxingwalks1186 thanks for your answer. I am Dutch and from Haarlem. My family lives there for over 500 years already. I know all the building, their name and what they are for. First you put the name Raaks on the screen and after that nothing. That is why i asked myself and you if you know what you are filming. You could put more streetnames on screen or some info about the shown buildings. I saw the Waag and the Teyler museum but other people will probably not know anything about them. Some info about the old city hall ( the former Hunting castle from count Floris) on the Grote Markt or the Hoofdwacht and St. Bavo church. The old name from the Grote Markt was 't Sant. If you look good, the Grote Markt in higher. They used the sand ('t Sant) from the canals they made ( delft) to raise the market place. Not the sand from the Nieuwe Gracht or so but from the small canals they made to get dune water transported to the city. The Bavo church is from about 1370. Are you from Haarlem?
Many thanks for this useful feedback and I’m always looking for ways to improve my videos 🙏 no I am British but love to travel and visit different places and experience different cultures. Thanks again for your comments 🙏

Thanks for watching!
Do you know something about the buildings you are filming?
