I studied Ku Foo when I was a young man…most of the training included what are called Kata which were going thru a series of movement extremely slow and then increase the speed over time…the golf swing reminds me of a kata and I think that is why many great golfers are Asian who were brought up in that culture….
Like I said before Jonathan i play off a +2 and I have not found anyway that can explain the golf swing in such a clear concise manner, thank you for taking the time to make these video's.
Excellent Jonathan. The power generated through using this ground force release is phenomenal and consistant. You and George Gankas are very different personalities but you are both passionate leading teachers of this thoroughly modern golf swing !!! Brilliant.
@@JonathanTaylor63 well maybe we’re talking about something different but if I open my hips too soon from the top there is a risk of the arms taking over and not being in sequence with my body. I feel like I let my arms fall straight down in a slight delay before a more natural connection with arms and body right at p6. This is where the the arms are parallel to the hips and where the most speed is created from here to the release through the ball and where the hips naturally fly open through extension. Agree to disagree I guess but I enjoy and agree with most of your stuff. Thanks

Great videos. Always on point. Jonathan is the best at breaking down the swing and explaining how it works.

always excellent
As always outstanding 👏 👌 🙌 👍
Hi, on 3:37 Minutes are you Talking about that scheer movement of the Right foot that initiates the turn of the pelvis?
Good stuff as always the base of a good fundamental golf swing
Using the ground forces is the most crucial part of a swing and 90% of teachers never mention it. 😣😣
Half way down hips open? I would check that as it would be out out sequence. Half way down=parallel hips and shaft of club.
Open your hips to the target as soon as you can it will not effect your sequence in fact it will make it easier to time your release.
