Oh, its all is so inspiring) Im in the middle of deciding/preparing/researching for a uni major, as a 22 yo, while also workin on my MUA portfolio, and also I kind of switched cities, and its all is very scary but exciting. To see people like you, who are also grinding for their degrees/careers is very comforting to me❤
Loved seeing a bit of your lab work, huge slay! I am an RA (just finished my BA and honours degree at uni in Australia. Hope you got the results you wanted hahah !
Thank you, I’m glad you enjoyed the video!! I love creating content & letting people see a glimpse of what a PhD life is like (but it’s just a glimpse into the work we do - as you know!)🫶🏻 That’s awesome that you’re also in biology 🧬 & yes it worked 🥹 - Christine
@@ChristineandJosh keep creating!! it's super interesting to see how you balance work/life, im early in my PhD journey so you're giving me lots of inspo! congrats on the experiment working!! 🧪
hi! I saw you have a dog. how do you handle that? i am soon to be a PhD candidate also in a biology-related field and I know I will spend a lot of time in the lab, but I am so ready to have a dog:)
Hi!! I love this question - we’re starting a living with our parents vlog series so this is a great thing to discuss about in one of our vlogs but to answer your question, we have help from my parents & the flexibility of Josh’s schedule. We do mandatory walks in the morning before school/work and whoever is home after school/work will walk Luna & then we take her on a long evening walk before bed. Typically on weekends we try to bring her out for runs + any exercise since throughout the week we have limited time. Since I go to school far away and commute, it wouldn’t be ideal for me to have a dog since I have long days in lab. But if you live close to your school, it’s definitely manageable and there’s lots of grad students I know who have dogs + are doing their PhD but they live close to the university! I hope this helps answer your questions :) - Christine
