Book Launch: Romani Communities and Transformative Change

  • Leading academics in Romani studies, advocates, activists, and members of the Romani community presented a bold new vision for achieving social justice for the Roma through a New Social Europe.
    It was officially launched in the United States at a special online event held Monday, November 16th. The event featured a discussion between the editors and included a Q&A with attendees.
    Speakers included:
    Nidhi Trehan (Senior Research Fellow, Romani Studies Program, Central European University)
    Margarete Matache (Roma Program, FXB Center for Health and Human Rights, Harvard University)
    Suraj Yengde (Senior Fellow, Harvard Kennedy School)
    Lela Savic (Managing Editor, La Converse, Canada)
    Andrew Ryder (Associate Professor at the Institute of Communication and Sociology, Corvinus University of Budapest)
    Marius Taba (Visiting Lecturer and Fellow at Corvinus University of Budapest)

    I highly disagree with suraj , connecting Romani cause with that of the caaste issue ....... not to mention the present PM is a dallit Mr Modi(You can check his background)...... dont try and deviate the Romani cause...... Romani people should be careful not to get wooed by these type of people they are part of a larger western conspiracy

      Brother mr modi is not dalit he is obc and suraj yengde is bringing solidarity between two oppressed communities there's nothing wrong in that
