Just found your channel. I've been searching for an artist vlog channel that is calming and in alignment with my studio practice. Excited to explore your work!
Your vlogs are like a peaceful retreat! The calm energy you create with your voice and content is so soothing, and your art studio is absolutely beautiful-it feels like the perfect place to create art. I always look forward to your videos 🥰🥰
I’m amazed at your ability to jump into different styles of painting using completely different mediums. It’s refreshing to see that you’re not locked into one style. I also use tarot cards in my process! New sub ❤ Your channel is awesome.
Thanks for sharing your process, Jess and the road trip. How beautiful all the natural light coming into your studio! I like the cloudscapes you’re working on. I love looking at the sky too and taking pictures of it. I think I’m gonna try to paint some of those pictures. Have a lovely week ❤
Hi Jess, my studio is all packed up as we are downsizing our home of 44 years, continuously grateful that I am a minimalist so the chaos isn’t so bad, moving day next Monday and looking forward to setting up a new space. Due to energy and time constraints I have only my watercolour palette and a fountain pen, so I’m doing blind contours for fun and practicing drawing which has been great with limited supplies. We are heading into spring here in Australia and I can feel my energy rising. Love watching your videos
Wonderful, best of luck with the move! What a change after 44 years and Spring is the perfect season for it. And yes, sometimes (often) I find limitations to unlock a certain kind of creativity, free of a lot of decision making. Thank you so much for watching
Thank you for this wonderful calm and cozyness you share with us ❤ I do really like the dot project you started for your comission. I am curious how this one goes on😊 And yes, exploring the Region I live in, seems Kind of important for me too. Especially the seasons and how the landscape change throughout the year. wishing you a wonderful upcoming week 🙋🏻♀️😘
Thank you so much! Ahhh, the dot project is nearly finished now... thank goodness it went according to plan, I was a bit nervous. 🤓 And I'm glad I am not the only one who feels called to get out and explore... 🍁 I keep having the idea to fly a drone and paint whatever it captures! xj
Yes, Houston seems so interesting... I really enjoyed the trip, it felt so good to me to be in a "real" city again (although Austin is definitely growing up). Loved all of the art around town, want to go back to see some galleries!
Hello lovely! Thank you for sharing, once again. For me, this is a time of huge transition personally. Just started a new, fulltime job which is so different from running my own business. I spent a week cleaning up my office/studio. Getting rid of a lot of stuff cluttering up both my mind and space. I am not starting any new projects other than knitting socks, which is easy and not a huge commitment. But…funny you said oil sticks in your previous video because I’ve been looking at them as well. I’ve also been playing with gel plate printing. It’s a really neat process but I can’t seem to get images to transfer well so I’m sticking with laying down colour and just lifting up the paper. It’s so fun! Enjoy the process and thanks for the invite to share our work. Hope you had a chance to look at mine. Be well. And may you wear your day with ease.
Hello! Oh, I was actually wondering if you did share, I must have missed the notification and just tried to look and it's lost in comments, would you mind sharing again? And best of luck on the new full time job! You are really shaking up your daily routine... I love what you say about decluttering your mind and space (they are so connected, aren't they). Let me know if you try an oil stick! One might be in my future soon... next time I stop by the art supply store. Wishing you a wonderful week and transition xj
Thank you 🥰 and you know, I can't say I have a rational reason... the Star has been coming up so much for me lately and this piece really seemed to have that "calm after the storm" feeling about it.
