Would he have killed him or given him cybernetics, as Dooku had not yet fallen, he wouldn’t have had a replacement available. 4. What if the Jedi had never discovered anakin on Tatooine? 5. What if maul had killed Obi Wan instead of qui gon... what would that have meant for the Jedi order? 6. What if dooku had never fallen after qui-gon’s death but remained true to the Jedi? How would that have affected Sidious’ grand plan? Thanks!

The Dark Side isn’t exactly the opposite of the regular force, just a powerful offshoot. So it makes sense that the Jedi offshoot faction recruited mostly fallen Jedi, though not always.

Palpatine in Legends subconsciously hid his force sensitivity from the Jedi. It’s always been a gift of his. It’s also why Plagueis took an interest in him, because he blocked Plagueis off too.

Have you done a video about why in The Phantom Menace Obi-wan’s master was Qui-Gon Jinn, but in the original trilogy, he said he was trained by Yoda? If you haven’t, I’de like that
I like this kind of thing. We know that Darth Tenebrous "arranged" for hid apprentice; his impressive future sight caused him to pair two Muuns together, king that their's Higo would be powerful. Plagueis, on the other hand, seems to almost have stumbled upon a young Palpatine, who had been waiting for such an event, but kept it to himself, and seemingly somewhat duped the Sith Lord to take him on. Still, it's always neat to look at these things. Plagueis couldn't really start looking while he was an apprentice, but once Tenebrous was crushed, and he the only Sith, he needed to start looking right away. Would the Firce guide him? Would he meditate on the idea, and let the Dark Side tell him? Would he just go to places of darkness and conflict, and ruminate on who might be a good choice? What of other, different Sith? This doesn't directly answer all that, but it does give us an idea of another ability they had, that made them different from the Jedi.
I think you're right either they didn't know he was force sensitive or he deleted the files. If they really knew he was force sensitive that would be the nail in the coffin for me. How TF could they not put the pieces together in the first place. They knew about the inhibitor chips even and the fact they just let that slide (I'm looking at you Yoda and kiundi) is pretty sad.
I believe that Plagueis & Palpatine became aware of Anakin much earlier than we are told. Remember in Episode 1 when Qui-Gon was concerned (likely because he had a "bad feeling" through the Force) that their presence on Tatooine must remain a secret and no transmissions were to be sent in response to the deepfake holo-messages of Sio Bibble back on Naboo? Well not long after that, Qui-Gon's curiosity won out, and he breaks his own rule. He feels compelled to take Anakin's blood sample, and transmits his DNA/midi-chlorian data back to Obi-Wan outside the city. I believe that message was somehow hacked or traced by Sith tech, and this is not only how Darth Maul's droids were able to locate them, leading into the desert duel confrontation, but also how his masters first learned of the the possible existence of the Chosen One created through the Force. All the data was right there in the message. I higher midi-chlorian count than Master Yoda himself - such a thing could not exist in mere chance. After that discovery, I don't believe Palpatine would have had any interest in continuing his apprenticeship with Maul any further, as he single-mindedly pursued and groomed Anakin as his perfect apprentice - almost like a son of his own. That becomes his primary goal, even over the defeat of Amidala, the Jedi, and the Republic. By the fateful turning point scene in Chancellor Palpatine's office in Revenge of the Sith, all his cards are on the table...and the old man finally gets what he wants - but only for his dreams to be thwarted when his body is mutilated by Master Windu and new apprentice is decimated by Obi-Wan. It's a beautifully tragic victory/failure story.

Star wars theory How is this for a theory? The rise of Skywalker secret to the ending: What if Ben Solo did more than what we seen as the emperor thrown him down the hole at the end... As palpatine was swindled by Rey (which was fair) more happened! His force essence was on the move quickly after, much like in legends where he started moving to new bodies and how he did survive the death star 2, why not this? He was going frantic, more desperate than ever looking for a stronger vesil... Before long, he came across the climbing Ben Solo purposely searching for him. He would of said something menacingly as a disfigured ghost essence terrifyingly began to float towards a struggling Ben. As he sensed the disturbing aura in the force he jumped, doing a front flip while moving backwards, for the high ground and shouted something like "It's over palpatine, you have lost!". Lost... maybe, but done he was not! As the bit of ground he had found was getting smaller and smaller as the emperor slowly closed in to claim himself a very powerful weaked body. A body of a Skywalker... And then turned Palpatine, imagine the power... Ben felt cold but did not give in to fear, not even a little as all he was thinking was to join up with Rey! No longer did he feel fear or pain, he was done with that... He reached out with the force and stood the ghostly dark matter in place. Now standing up to him saying the same Luke told Sheev himself decades ago, "I won't join you it's over your highness". He would have none of this as you can imagine... Part 2 Ben is still weakened from being drained but it takes after an epic force fight of flips, blocking with his hands and pulling off outstanding force moves, almost like a balance of light and dark stopping every blow, for him to get only slightly on the disadvantage. He feels in the force to see he's loosing to this executing RED lightning that started coming from Palpatines' fingers as a final resort (again) as Ben started to struggle blocking it the same as Yoda did with the blue lightning in episode 3 but this time Ben started to loose hope as he couldn't hold it any longer... He started to think about Rey... He said her name with a thought he wouldn't see her again and failure again "Rey, I'm sorry" lifting his head in defeat when just literally out of nowhere, to his suprise he heard 'Hey kid' beside him Jedi Grand Master Luke Skywalker Ben pushed back out with his hand and to his own suprise his rising hope returns as they both became stronger together. The same as when Poe resorted hope when hearing Landos' voice! Seeing for ourselves that they forgiven eachother, using that Skywalker blood, Luke shined beside him while they both defend from Darth Sidious and his evil power with the light and once again his lightning just backfired. Here is where he actually stops this time with the lightning before it killed him. Luke would say "Your evil doesn't belong here, this war is over, this fight is over, we will not let you fill this galaxy with any more war, as long as a Skywalker is around you will never have your way". As Luke smiles towards the dark force essence, nothing happens for a while. Confused, his face changes to a more of a realisation something bad had happened and turns his attention to Ben... Part 3 "Ben...?" Leia asked for his name while she Appeared knowing what had just taken place... Ben opened his eyes, all there was to their amazement in complete horror, there was a pure evil red that was his eyes. Kylo Ren? No... The Evil Palpatine has emerged through Ben, the laugh and the shift in the force told Luke and Leia that it was true. They felt it, Palpatine was now a young boy carrying power even more than before! Palpatine pulling the strings, Ben was lost to the sith Lord, in disparity that was showing once again with Lukes face, he tried to save his nephew but he is no longer able to hold him down or reach a connection. He was too powerful... Leia tried too but nothing happened... She never gave up hope, neither did Luke this time. He feels the good in Ben or that he's still there. Palpatine could not fully take over this body. Ben, now mostly Sidious, ferociously used the Twirl and the force scream like he did in episode 3, Luke and Leia did not want to fight back as they just stood there focusing and blocked the attack with no fear at all "You're going to have to do better than that" Luke told the Emperor. Leia also added, "Hope will always kill you and defeat anything your foul stench has anything to do with" Palpatine blocked the comment with "No... no, no, no you cannot defeat me, all the sith live in me, in Kylo Ren now! What can you do now children of Skywalker?" Luke stared, shakes his head and repeated "No, it's over your highness" Darth Sidious then shouted grossly "Get ready to kill your family and take young Ben's life, oh wait you Jedi are too weak to do such an act" He laughed more and forced Ben's body to attack Luke and Leia! He laughed the whole way towards them. The Skywalker children do not fight... Just dodged in the most Jedi way possible... Suddenly Palpatine stops moving, just standing Ben in place. "NO" the Emperor screeched as he gritted his teeth in so much anger but him being held into place without a proper reason made his anger intensify more than it even has been "YOU!" The twins both in sync smiled "We told you it was over". "Luke... Leia... my children, I'm so proud". Final part Anakin Skywalker now rising infront of Palpatine, "Your rein of war is over... and I would like my grandchild back" not giving him the chance to do more other than pull his terrified look on his face. Anakin Skywalker effortlessly pulls the dark side of the force out of Ben and lifted up the perfect darkside essence that was Palpatine and the light (Ben's body) and controlled both towards the ground peacefully (As he did to the 'ones' on Mortis) both unable to control themselves as they both noticed they were floating around Anakins' ghost. Luke and Leia watched with delight as Kylo Ren will never return and as Luke turned to the emperor, his end was coming and him knowing this his parting with him was a classic Han Solo shrug. Anakin closed his eyes, the dark side, the light side, that was Ben, both sides of the force very familiar with Anakin as he understands eveything finally showing his mastery with the force. He smiles at his children as they smiled back knowing what need to come for Emperor but also for Ben. Everyone knew it was all in the name of balance... Classic Anakin said something like "I can't wait to ask Snipps how was this for a performance". Hearing a bellowing, disgusting roar coming from the darkside, Anakin Skywalker infused light and dark he held inside of Ben that caused a huge force explosion that was the fusion of light and dark, leaving just Ben standing in the shadows, everyone had disappeared in the explosion... Just realizing he was in the dark this whole time, Ben had seen only ghosts and lightning light up the small area... It struck him... "Rey!" He forced jumped for the top with the balance he felt, everything had happened so fast! He also realised Rey had never left his mind. He hopes it's not too late as he knows he had to be one with the force soon to seal the balance for good, he heard one more thing in his head from Anakin, "Nothing can stop you now from saving her my grandchild! Do what I could not with the darkside, Control the power of Palpatine like I did with Vader, SHE is the only one that can carry on with his essence under control..." "Save her!" Ben finally reached for the top his hand coming first and the ending for him plays how we see it in the film with him finally happy and able to move on passing on the balance to Rey. Now with the privilege of a Skywalker's power and with the responsibility of a Palpatines power.
Didn't Qui-Gon sense Anakin's Force sensitivity before the blood test? Didn't he say to Shmi (Anakin's mother) at one point - "the Force is unusually strong with him (meaning Anakin), that much is clear." Wasn't that before he tested Anakin's blood? Or am I remembering it wrong?
Can we get a Sith Empire version of Game of Thrones? Like ancient Sith playing off each other and trying to work their way up to the title of the Dark Lord of the Sith amongst all their other rivals? I think it'd be fucking cool. More of the backstabbing and planning than just the devastating force and lightsaber skills. Show the more refined side of the ancient Sith.

I like this kind of thing. We know that Darth Tenebrous "arranged" for hid apprentice; his impressive future sight caused him to pair two Muuns together, king that their's Higo would be powerful. Plagueis, on the other hand, seems to almost have stumbled upon a young Palpatine, who had been waiting for such an event, but kept it to himself, and seemingly somewhat duped the Sith Lord to take him on. Still, it's always neat to look at these things. Plagueis couldn't really start looking while he was an apprentice, but once Tenebrous was crushed, and he the only Sith, he needed to start looking right away. Would the Firce guide him? Would he meditate on the idea, and let the Dark Side tell him? Would he just go to places of darkness and conflict, and ruminate on who might be a good choice? What of other, different Sith? This doesn't directly answer all that, but it does give us an idea of another ability they had, that made them different from the Jedi.
Tenebrous is such a cool sith I really want to see him expanded in the future, but Disney definitely is not going to let him die the same way
I think you're right either they didn't know he was force sensitive or he deleted the files. If they really knew he was force sensitive that would be the nail in the coffin for me. How TF could they not put the pieces together in the first place. They knew about the inhibitor chips even and the fact they just let that slide (I'm looking at you Yoda and kiundi) is pretty sad.
I believe that Plagueis & Palpatine became aware of Anakin much earlier than we are told. Remember in Episode 1 when Qui-Gon was concerned (likely because he had a "bad feeling" through the Force) that their presence on Tatooine must remain a secret and no transmissions were to be sent in response to the deepfake holo-messages of Sio Bibble back on Naboo? Well not long after that, Qui-Gon's curiosity won out, and he breaks his own rule. He feels compelled to take Anakin's blood sample, and transmits his DNA/midi-chlorian data back to Obi-Wan outside the city. I believe that message was somehow hacked or traced by Sith tech, and this is not only how Darth Maul's droids were able to locate them, leading into the desert duel confrontation, but also how his masters first learned of the the possible existence of the Chosen One created through the Force. All the data was right there in the message. I higher midi-chlorian count than Master Yoda himself - such a thing could not exist in mere chance. After that discovery, I don't believe Palpatine would have had any interest in continuing his apprenticeship with Maul any further, as he single-mindedly pursued and groomed Anakin as his perfect apprentice - almost like a son of his own. That becomes his primary goal, even over the defeat of Amidala, the Jedi, and the Republic. By the fateful turning point scene in Chancellor Palpatine's office in Revenge of the Sith, all his cards are on the table...and the old man finally gets what he wants - but only for his dreams to be thwarted when his body is mutilated by Master Windu and new apprentice is decimated by Obi-Wan. It's a beautifully tragic victory/failure story.

The rise of Skywalker secret to the ending:
What if Ben Solo did more than what we seen as the emperor thrown him down the hole at the end...
As palpatine was swindled by Rey (which was fair) more happened! His force essence was on the move quickly after, much like in legends where he started moving to new bodies and how he did survive the death star 2, why not this? He was going frantic, more desperate than ever looking for a stronger vesil...
Before long, he came across the climbing Ben Solo purposely searching for him. He would of said something menacingly as a disfigured ghost essence terrifyingly began to float towards a struggling Ben. As he sensed the disturbing aura in the force he jumped, doing a front flip while moving backwards, for the high ground and shouted something like "It's over palpatine, you have lost!".
Lost... maybe, but done he was not! As the bit of ground he had found was getting smaller and smaller as the emperor slowly closed in to claim himself a very powerful weaked body.
A body of a Skywalker...
And then turned Palpatine, imagine the power... Ben felt cold but did not give in to fear, not even a little as all he was thinking was to join up with Rey! No longer did he feel fear or pain, he was done with that... He reached out with the force and stood the ghostly dark matter in place. Now standing up to him saying the same Luke told Sheev himself decades ago, "I won't join you it's over your highness". He would have none of this as you can imagine...
Part 2
Ben is still weakened from being drained but it takes after an epic force fight of flips, blocking with his hands and pulling off outstanding force moves, almost like a balance of light and dark stopping every blow, for him to get only slightly on the disadvantage.
He feels in the force to see he's loosing to this executing RED lightning that started coming from Palpatines' fingers as a final resort (again) as Ben started to struggle blocking it the same as Yoda did with the blue lightning in episode 3 but this time Ben started to loose hope as he couldn't hold it any longer...
He started to think about Rey...
He said her name with a thought he wouldn't see her again and failure again "Rey, I'm sorry" lifting his head in defeat when just literally out of nowhere, to his suprise he heard 'Hey kid' beside him
Jedi Grand Master Luke Skywalker
Ben pushed back out with his hand and to his own suprise his rising hope returns as they both became stronger together. The same as when Poe resorted hope when hearing Landos' voice! Seeing for ourselves that they forgiven eachother, using that Skywalker blood, Luke shined beside him while they both defend from Darth Sidious and his evil power with the light and once again his lightning just backfired. Here is where he actually stops this time with the lightning before it killed him. Luke would say "Your evil doesn't belong here, this war is over, this fight is over, we will not let you fill this galaxy with any more war, as long as a Skywalker is around you will never have your way". As Luke smiles towards the dark force essence, nothing happens for a while. Confused, his face changes to a more of a realisation something bad had happened and turns his attention to Ben...
Part 3
"Ben...?" Leia asked for his name while she Appeared knowing what had just taken place...
Ben opened his eyes, all there was to their amazement in complete horror, there was a pure evil red that was his eyes.
Kylo Ren? No... The Evil Palpatine has emerged through Ben, the laugh and the shift in the force told Luke and Leia that it was true. They felt it, Palpatine was now a young boy carrying power even more than before!
Palpatine pulling the strings, Ben was lost to the sith Lord, in disparity that was showing once again with Lukes face, he tried to save his nephew but he is no longer able to hold him down or reach a connection. He was too powerful...
Leia tried too but nothing happened...
She never gave up hope, neither did Luke this time. He feels the good in Ben or that he's still there. Palpatine could not fully take over this body.
Ben, now mostly Sidious, ferociously used the Twirl and the force scream like he did in episode 3, Luke and Leia did not want to fight back as they just stood there focusing and blocked the attack with no fear at all "You're going to have to do better than that" Luke told the Emperor. Leia also added, "Hope will always kill you and defeat anything your foul stench has anything to do with" Palpatine blocked the comment with "No... no, no, no you cannot defeat me, all the sith live in me, in Kylo Ren now! What can you do now children of Skywalker?" Luke stared, shakes his head and repeated "No, it's over your highness"
Darth Sidious then shouted grossly "Get ready to kill your family and take young Ben's life, oh wait you Jedi are too weak to do such an act" He laughed more and forced Ben's body to attack Luke and Leia! He laughed the whole way towards them. The Skywalker children do not fight... Just dodged in the most Jedi way possible...
Suddenly Palpatine stops moving, just standing Ben in place. "NO" the Emperor screeched as he gritted his teeth in so much anger but him being held into place without a proper reason made his anger intensify more than it even has been "YOU!"
The twins both in sync smiled "We told you it was over".
"Luke... Leia... my children, I'm so proud".
Final part
Anakin Skywalker now rising infront of Palpatine, "Your rein of war is over... and I would like my grandchild back" not giving him the chance to do more other than pull his terrified look on his face. Anakin Skywalker effortlessly pulls the dark side of the force out of Ben and lifted up the perfect darkside essence that was Palpatine and the light (Ben's body) and controlled both towards the ground peacefully (As he did to the 'ones' on Mortis) both unable to control themselves as they both noticed they were floating around Anakins' ghost. Luke and Leia watched with delight as Kylo Ren will never return and as Luke turned to the emperor, his end was coming and him knowing this his parting with him was a classic Han Solo shrug.
Anakin closed his eyes, the dark side, the light side, that was Ben, both sides of the force very familiar with Anakin as he understands eveything finally showing his mastery with the force. He smiles at his children as they smiled back knowing what need to come for Emperor but also for Ben. Everyone knew it was all in the name of balance...
Classic Anakin said something like "I can't wait to ask Snipps how was this for a performance". Hearing a bellowing, disgusting roar coming from the darkside, Anakin Skywalker infused light and dark he held inside of Ben that caused a huge force explosion that was the fusion of light and dark, leaving just Ben standing in the shadows, everyone had disappeared in the explosion...
Just realizing he was in the dark this whole time, Ben had seen only ghosts and lightning light up the small area... It struck him...
"Rey!" He forced jumped for the top with the balance he felt, everything had happened so fast!
He also realised Rey had never left his mind. He hopes it's not too late as he knows he had to be one with the force soon to seal the balance for good, he heard one more thing in his head from Anakin, "Nothing can stop you now from saving her my grandchild! Do what I could not with the darkside, Control the power of Palpatine like I did with Vader, SHE is the only one that can carry on with his essence under control..." "Save her!"
Ben finally reached for the top his hand coming first and the ending for him plays how we see it in the film with him finally happy and able to move on passing on the balance to Rey. Now with the privilege of a Skywalker's power and with the responsibility of a Palpatines power.

Can we get a Sith Empire version of Game of Thrones? Like ancient Sith playing off each other and trying to work their way up to the title of the Dark Lord of the Sith amongst all their other rivals? I think it'd be fucking cool. More of the backstabbing and planning than just the devastating force and lightsaber skills. Show the more refined side of the ancient Sith.
